Came in looking for a honest mechanic. Brought in my vehicle I knew there was some work that needed to be done because of sound it was making but didn't exactly knew how bad the vehicle was. This guy said he does free diagnostics bs he'll get his money back at the end. So I drive a 2015 Chrysler 300 with a sealed transmission. I've put over 100k miles on it due to going back & fourth to San Francisco, plus doing Uber/Lyft/Bounce rides. I drove from New York to Los Angeles to visit my son. It was in a 2002 Jaguar XK8 in the fall with the top down which was fun. Unfortunately upon arrival in Los Angeles the transmission failed. I was lucky to find a used transmission in Chula Vista which was a two-hour drive and the recommendation from the shop was to use Main Street Transmissions. Am I glad I did the work that they did the diligence and professionalism of this establishment was outstanding. I highly recommend this place, we needed our clutch replaced in our 2000 Passat and Larry gave us a very good price. If you're looking for a fast and honest mechanic this is the perfect place I called Friday told me to come in anytime I got there a little late. But either way he said leave the car I'll check it out in the morning 8:30 I get a call saying it was the gaskets easily replaced super cheap well I thought it was way more serious seeing as how it leaked all the fluids out the day before. I asked if it was possible to have it done by 11 because I had a event to be at said no problem had it done by 10:30 awesome service if I ever have any problems in the future definitely the place I will go for now on. read more

He gave me the car and i drove it, the next day, i noticed the transmission oil was mixing with the antifreeze, i took it back and he said it was another thing, he charged me another $600 to fix it, he gave me the car back and it kept on doing the same thing, i took the car back and once again he told me it was another thing and charged me $250 dollars more, he gave me the car back and still the same thing, i took it back and all he said was is "better to sell your car is old already"...
