History
Established in 2017.
UniMovers got their start back in 2017 under the name "College Movers" as a way for a couple of students to support themselves in college. Since then, we've rebranded to UniMovers, hire solely college students and recent grads, and dedicate a portion of all of our revenue to our working student scholarship fund and a local non-profit.
Meet the Business Owner: Ryker K.
After graduating from Coe College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, Ryker Kurimski returned home to open a UniMovers location in Dubuque, Iowa. While working as a Cedar Rapids UniMovers location manager, Ryker found joy in helping others. For most, moving can be stressful, and being able to help alleviate some of that stress is where Ryker’s passion for his job began. Having the ability to meet and interact with all kinds of people is a bonus for him. Seeing the impact that could be made in Cedar Rapids, he knew that opening a location close to his hometown of Epworth, IA could benefit his community. In his spare time, Ryker enjoys spending time with his friends and family and working out. He is extremely excited to provide moving services to the city of Dubuque and the surrounding area.
