DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STUFF STOLEN!! Scott Bell and his movers are thieves, liars, and crooked businessmen. Sure, they showed up and moved our belongings in a reasonable amount of time. The price seemed comparable to other moving companies. After a generous tip and closing the storage unit secured by a keypad, we had 2 large electronic items (worth about $1,000) stolen only weeks later. ONLY those 2 men knew where the electronics were (tucked in the VERY back of a 20 foot storage facility COVERED by many many other boxes and behind several pieces of large furniture). At the completion of the move, the code for the door was entered several times (as we had trouble closing the door) with those two standing nearby. It could not have been anyone else. I'm 100% sure of that! Nobody else would've taken the time to go through a multitude of boxes and piles of stuff not knowing about the electronics. These people are thieves! Do NOT use their services unless you want your valuables stolen! I'm very disappointed because I thought they were better people. I guess I learned a lesson. Don't make the same mistake I did and buy into the perception that they are good and honest people. I would've given ZERO stars if it was possible. Other companies may charge more, but it may be worth it. Update: There was more stuff stolen than we originally thought! I repeat: PROTECT YOUR ASSETS AND USE ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY! I highly recommend Bell Movers. I recently moved my mom into a care facility with very little notice. This particular facility provides an unfurnished/empty room, so this was essentially like a move to a studio apartment.  I called Bell Movers first thing in the morning, explaining that I needed a mover that same day, but couldn't name a precise time, because there was a series of things that had to happen in a sequential order before Mom's belongings could be moved in. Scott was very understanding and compassionate, saying to keep him posted and he would work it in, and was willing to do the job solo if his employees were done for the day. It ended up happening just that way, very late in the afternoon. Scott was very pleasant, professional,  and careful with Mom's belongings. He was very conscious of protecting them as well as the surrounding environment, like the doors, walls, ceilings, gates, and landscape. He worked quickly and efficiently. He made it look easy, and like he was moving his own mother's things.  He wore a mask and was very considerate of the facility's pandemic protocol. I will definitely call Bell Movers  whenever I need moving help again. read more

We used Bell Movers twice as we had to move all of our things into storage for three weeks before we could move into our new house. Scott Bell, Kobe and Randy were amazing! We picked (not intentionally) two of the hottest days of the summer to move. They worked non-stop, made sure our items were wrapped well and protected, and remained really positive even with a heavy piano to get up front porch steps. I appreciated the safety precautions Scott took, not only with our belongings, but also to make sure his employees didn't get hurt. And when there was an issue with some damage at the storage facility, Scott took responsibility for it immediately and worked directly with the storage company to remedy it. Movers in general are expensive. But Bell Movers was worth every penny. And much cheaper than back surgery! I highly recommend them. read more

WOW! Scott and crew were terrific! We have moved many time in our careers (sometimes across country) and used many of the "Big Name" national companies and Bell Movers in Coralville is one of the best companies we have ever used. Their communication prior to the move and during the move was excellent. They truly looked out for our needs and took care of our property. They were professional in every aspect of the moved. Scott even called the night before our move and asked if we needed anything and offered to bring boxes. They set up the rooms in our new home the way we wanted and put everything together they took apart to move. Everything was wrapped and protected; nothing was lost or broken. We received outstanding service from Scott and the movers at Bell Movers. They moved a three bedroom house and two teenagers after 8 years in one place. They were careful with our belongings and triple wrapped our furniture so it wasn't damaged. Scott and the guys showed up right on time and completed the move in less than the estimated time. We loved using a small, local business and we loved Scott. He is professional and so friendly. Our kids liked him and so did our dogs. The price was very comparable to other movers in Iowa City, but he brought more people and completed the move in half the time of the other estimates!! We used Scott and his team for a local move and would definitely use them again. They arrived on time, were calm, prepared, careful and courteous. The price was fair and, in fact, he was honest enough to adjust the price to less when they spent less time on the move than quoted in the estimate. Scott's style is more casual about some administrative details of move prep, which was an adjustment for me. However, that style didn't in any way impact the quality of the moving services. They did their work efficiently and in a way that gave us confidence that we were in good hands. And we were. Scott, the owner, is incredibly kind and accommodating. He answer my phone call on the first try unless so many other companies. Scott Bell Movers were fantastic! They arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. We had to move from two storage units into a new house and they did it in 3 hours! They were experts at loading the truck, got everything in one load, and nothing got damaged. They even laid out a walking mat through the house so they wouldn't track much in from outside. They were flexible with helping me get those odd items packed, and helping me finish when I was just too worn out to get the last of it done. I didn't even see the guys take a break and it was really hot outside and i moved off the second floor to the second floor. We had to move into an apartment that had three flights of narrow stairs, and these guys were outstanding!
