Unfortunately, they missed some mold, and I had to call them back to cut out more drywall. This was a big disappointment. I don't understand how it was missed. The missed mold was right up to the edge of the drywall, meaning the drywall they cut out would also have mold right up to the edge, and they are supposed to remove one foot past where the mold ends. I found it when I was putting insulation back in, and I could have easily missed it myself which could have led to the mold continuing to grow and having another big problem later.  Also, I was given a work authorization to sign, but with no written breakdown of what the work would actually entail: which parts of the house, the process to remove the mold, etc. I had to request this. All other mold mitigation companies I contacted gave me a quote with a very detailed written breakdown of the work to be performed. If you go with them, make sure you ask for the details of the work to be performed in writing and don't settle for just a verbal explanation of what they will do.

Then showed up 10 days later to grab their equipment and left. Charged my insurance company over $6,000 and once they got their money, I never heard from them again. For 3 months I left numerous voicemails which were never returned. I was initially told that they would be in touch with some proposals to replace the drywall, flooring, paint, etc. but never heard a single thing. So I was just left to scramble on my own and I am still attempting to find someone to finish putting my basement all back together and it has literally been over 4 months now. Live and learn I guess. I would have been better off renting a commercial shop vac and dehumidifiers and done it all myself and saved myself from being dropped by my insurance company. So very disappointing.

Our house was built in 2000 so after 25 years of occasional leaks it seemed like a good idea to just check. Sure enough, lots of mold under the floor, behind the wall and under the cabinet into the hallway. Tyler salvaged what he could and thoroughly treated the affected areas. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bigger problem than I originally thought it was. Tyler said that often happens - once walls and flooring are removed it's not uncommon to find the problem is way bigger than anticipated. It almost made me wish I hadn't opened that can of worms since I'm now having to have a lot more remediation work done than I thought I would. But...keeping my home mold-free and safe for my family is important. Thank you Tyler for coming to the rescue again! Highly recommended!

We had a leaky faucet in the garage which went undiscovered until the drywall was shredded and mold was creeping up the wall. I've seen enough TV shows where people's homes can become unlivable due to mold infiltrating areas we can't see so I decided to call in a specialist to deal with this problem. Tyler carefully evaluated the situation and implemented a thorough mold remediation plan to make the needed repairs safely. His prompt service, attention to detail and reasonable cost were all big pluses in my book. I highly recommend Tyler and Ellipsis to handle any specialty restorations!

Let's just say it was a genuine biohazard disaster zone. William (Bill) Swawell of Servicemaster was one of the few people who returned my calls and did me the service of coming out to inspect the space despite the miasma. He and his team did a great job processing large quantities of garbage and biohazard waste but were sensitive and careful enough to pick out all of the treasures (ie old family photos, important documents, even loose change) buried amongst it. He has stayed involved with clean up projects and helping me to manage a lot of work that still needs to happen at the house; it is essential to have someone I can trust doing this work since I am out of state and cannot directly supervise. Bill has earned my trust for the quality of his work and equally important his honesty; he refunded the unspent portion of our initial deposit down to the penny. I hope you don't need ServiceMaster...it's a disaster mitigation service and no one wants a disaster. But when (not if) disaster hits you will want a team like Bill and ServiceMaster DSI involved in putting your life, home, and/or business back in order.

My basement was not nearly as bad as other people's, and I wanted help cleaning and with mold. They got back to me within a couple of days while I was on other companies' waitlists. They could have come out the same evening, but I had them wait until the next day which was more convenient. They came out, provided an estimate. I had questions, and I was able to say what I wanted done (eg. I didn't want the air purification for $1000 since my HVAC system has an air purification system in it that takes care of mold spores or the wall paint to protect from mold for $200 since I am already on a list to have my basement waterproofed in a month, and the walls are going to be dealt with). They were amenable to the changes. They were able to schedule me for the next day and do the work. They provided me with updates of the project. They took out more drywall than anticipated, but that's fine. I'll refinish the basement later. Garrett and Justin were both helpful. I recommend them. They listened, they were prompt, and I feel after talking with others in similar situations, the price was fair. They also did not demand insurance. I paid upfront.

Yeah..... apparently they were hired to not necessarily clean my items to "pre-fire" condition…read more Now, how would that make ANY sense? If an item was not able to be cleaned then insurance buys a new one! A perfect example of a business owner more willing to stick their head in the sand and ignore legitimate complaints from a customer rather than address internal issues. Excuses....excuses....excuses and oh wait, it's the customer's fault because we're perfect. Take some advice, learn from it and get better.....pretty simple concept. Instead the owner, just as management has done, blames the customer and refuses to accept ANY responsibility for anything going amiss......and surprise surprise they had zero problem cashing the check. I know they have fantastic people working for them, as do most places, but when a process is broken it needs to be addressed and fixed.

When the kitchen sink cabinet they rebuilt was droppd off the toe kick was missing. I had to called a couple times, finally after a week I was told to go buy one and have someone install it. No apologies, no knowledge of any wrong doing on their part. I received an invoice in the mail for the final stage, ripping out my carpeting and delivey of the cabinet mentioned before. Invoice just said amount due $1,8--.--. No explanation of what this was actually for. I had already paid $1,5--.-- to them. After a phone call, I think they supplied me with a detailed estimate for charges but it did take a day or two. I called my insurance adjuster asking him to explain some of the charges. He looked over everything, said I was being doubled billed. I called Servpro again, they did take $3--.-- off of the bill, but I felt and so did my adjuster that there were still some items that shouldn't have been charged. I asked Servvpro to call the adjuster. They never did. He did finally call them. They wouldn't budge. After reading some of the reviews here and on other sites I just paid the bill, didn't want to face any legal battles. I belive they do overchage for some services, especially their charges for travel. Servpro is less than an hour from my residence. I was charged for 7 hours travel time to deliver my cabinets. They say you have to pay for both workers, okay so 2 workers back and forth to Sparta I come up with 4 hours not 7. I know the same crew that delivered my cabinets had come from another job in the area and were heading to at least one more. Does that mean that Servpro gets paid for the same travel time by at least 2 more customers besides me? WOW what a racket!
