Horrible!!! Don't waste you time any money purchasing windows from this company. I purchase windows and had water intrusion due to improper installation. I'm no genius but i know that outside capping should be pitched away from your house. So when it rains water doesn't come in. After a year the silicone around the capping broke down and i had water in my newly renovated apartment. Take your business to a reputable company that guarantees quality installation. Remember you get what you pay for!! read more

Horrendous customer service in the repair department. First time dealing with them years ago, they wanted to charge $95 to come repair a leak in the sliding glass door when it was not installed properly. Took weeks of going back and forth to finally get someone to fix it. Most recently, we cracked one of the panels. We know it's not under warranty but still needs to be fixed. We have been waiting WEEKS just for pricing. We have been told the manufacturer is not getting back to them, that it's the end of the week so we'll have to wait next week for them to get a price, or the only repairman in our area (we are on Long Island, NY) twisted his ankle and will be out for 6 weeks or more. Since we are getting nowhere with this company, we've asked for the manufacturer name and model as well as our contract. We were told they will not give us that info and only the owner would provide that info and she said it's doubtful that he would give us the info or contract since not under warranty. The product itself is just ok. You can feel the temperature outside on the glass and a small cold breeze during winter. But, i guess you get what you pay for. read more

We had windows installed by this company approx 8months ago. There salesman Mike was great as well as Mike the measuring person. Had all 23 done with ease. One window was ordered wrong but a quick call to our original salesman Mike had it installed within a few weeks. As for the quality of the windows, these things seem super durable. I could not buy one window from a big box store for the price of one of the Unified's install window, and Unified's window is of much better quality. I hope these last the test of time but so far so good they do what they are supposed to and I don't have to start my central air 2 months early. I just open my new windows and wallah cool fresh air. That's a savings in itself. My old windows were wooden builders grade, Anderxxx windows which all split at the seams. Never again. As for the installers these guys were a well oiled machine. Top notch and professional. How they did all those windows in the time is beyond me. They left the job neater than when they started. What a smooth transaction all Around. It was nice doing business with a Long Island company that actually treats the customer as a priority. I hope I don't have to see you for warranty or any other issues. But again Thank You, for making this an easy project. :) read more

We had new windows installed after hurricane Sandy. One of the windows had a faulty part which was actually backwards so the window never sat right in the frame. Even though their service representative confirmed the faulty part, we were still charged $95 for it to be corrected. Although they claim they were installed 10 years ago, which is true, I never realized that the part of the window was the problem until it was pointed out to me. I shouldn't have to pay for something that was never installed properly from the begining. Bad news. Horrible customer service. Stay away. Their "Lifetime Warranty" does not include labor. Their advertising is misleading. Their are plenty of reputable companies out there. This is not one of them. read more

I can not recommend this company. After waiting seven months for my new doors to be manufactured they arrived with the wrong glass, a storm door glass panel was missing and the finishing carpentry was sloppy and cut poorly. The workmanship was as if a sixth grader did it in shop class. read more

I wanted to change a door handle and lock mechanism from brass to a silver for a client on a unified window system storm door. I went into the showroom and was asking where can i purchase the salesperson was cocky and unknowledgablevon the specifics. I called several of their locations and was amazed how unhelpful and arrogant they were. I decided to go onlinecandcsend a request as to where i could purchase the item. I did not want to drill more holes in a fairley new door manufactured in 2019. I gave all the #'s off of the warrantee sticker on the door. They couldnt figure out what the #'s meant? Sad they dont even know their own product. I sent them a pic of the sticker. I wrote them an email stating i would be willing to take the door to the showroom. The CEO Steve Di mare called me and threatened me that if i did i will see what happens. Then he sent me another email stating he refuses to help me. I checked their reviews on several sites. They are rated as one of the worst. I was not looking forcsomething free. I wanted to purchase the mechanism and asked if they could refer me to the manufacturer. They would not. I have copies of all correspondences as well as someone else who heard the phone call. If you want one of their doors or windows u can get them cheaper from a hardware store or directly in Bayonne or nj. I would not recommend this company what so ever read more

We ordered a door the end of March and signed a contract on 4/4/21. The contract said at least 8 weeks, and the salesperson said probably closer to three months. It's been well over half a year. We called yesterday to cancel the contract, and "Mitch"said no refund because the contract says at least 8 weeks. We asked, so you're saying that we could wait 3 years and could not cancel? He said, we only had 3 days to cancel. It's unreasonable to wait this long, and outrageous to refuse to refund the money after all this time. Avoid them at all costs. read more

Had this company install a bunch of new windows in my house. Water continued to penetrate my master bedroom when it rained heavy. Had them out a couple of times to repair (which they charge for). Last time caused damage to my window sill as well as water damage dripping into my kitchen. After filing another complaint was told that it's not their fault and to file a claim with my homeowners insurance since the windows were installed 3 years ago and the caulk failed. Guess what, you installed it and it's your responsibility. Told a good customer to go scratch. WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY WONT STAND BEHIND THEIR OWN WORK!!!! read more

We had been waiting to buy our windows for a few years now and with everything going on with covid over the last 2+ years we decided to go ahead and hire Unified. The entire process from start to finish was great. Everyone we dealt with from the estimate to the workers and the follow up was so professional. We will def be recommending them to all of our friends and family who needs anything window related. read more

Review on Unified - garage doors. I had an old solid wood garage door that needed replacing. There were temporary supports holding the old door up. I called a few companies for estimates & decided to use Unified. They advertised for new doors & hardware. They came to inspect the old doors, measured, and scheduled a delivery date for 8 weeks later. I patiently waited as I was unable to open the door as it was too heavy. After waiting 10 weeks I called and told the doors were in and would send John to install them. As John was leaving, I tried to open the door, but the key would not work. Luckily, I caught John in time. He had to remove and reverse the lock as it was in upside down. After John was gone, I noticed the temporary structure was not removed or replaced with new hardware & secured. The door is not secure & wobbles. Now afraid that it will let loose from the old temporary wood holding door up. I called for at least two weeks and had spoken to someone different every time. I asked to speak to Vishual Bassant the manger and was told he was out to lunch and would return my call when he returned. He never returned my call. The next day I filled out the survey and within the hour I received a call from Vishual Bassant. He told me that this is a construction problem and would cost an additional $300. I asked isn't this considered "hardware" and if there wasn't anything holding the old door what would they have done. He said it's construction and would have charged me additional $300. I explained that I am a senior on fixed income, that $300 is a lot of money to pay and should have been included with the installation in the first place. He then said the best he could do was charge $200. Said he charges the best prices. Maybe charges best price but you don't get a complete job. Three professionals looked at the door but never mentioned anything about the temporary structure that was holding up the old door, which are wooden boards. I had to pay the balance in cash or cashier check only, so I couldn't stop payment. I requested a written guarantee but still waiting for it. I will not recommend Unified! read more

Steven, When I called your office to voice my complaint about the switched materials that I received, you told me that all of your staff were honest and there was no need to investigate my claim of fraud. You then told me to pay the $1000 balance or you would come after me with your team of lawyers. Does that refresh your memory? read more

Unified replaced an old window for me. I could not be happier with the result. The product is excellent and the installation went smoothly. I can definitely recommend Unified. read more

I cannot recommend this company. I had a window and front doors installed. The window came out well but the trim and finishing was still in need of finishing putty and stain. The storm door was good and the main front door looked fine until the handle came off in my hand the second day. This is when the problems really began. I called for a repair and was told it would be another 2-3 weeks to get someone to the house. When the repairman came the lockset replacement was not the same for the double lock, so he replaced the broken handle leaving me with two different locks and keys. Another 2-3 weeks to get a replacement. third set was also not locking properly. Another 2-3 weeks. Lastly the repairman came with again the wrong color lockset. Fortunately, Chris was the same guy over the last several visits and had picked up a few spare parts managing to get the lockset to work. Also all this time if I did not initiate a phone call there was no communication or updates from Unified staff. I was also promised reimbursement from the salesperson Pete for $20 in money spent on additional keys for the first lockset that fell apart. MAYBE one star would have been more fitting. I hope this is the final curtain with this expensive home repair. read more

For the first time since I can't remember when, a company actually delivered what they promised. Everyone, from my first meeting with Tom Cartolano, the salesman, and including the President of the company, Chase Peres, was courteous& professional. The workers who did my stonework and siding were outstanding. They did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves. My house is definitely the nicest looking on the block . I would highly recommend this company to anyoone needing windows, doors, siding or roofing. Don't want to leave out Billy and Bill the stoneguys, and Teddy and his great crew who did my siding. I wish all my contractors were like these guys!!!! read more
