A1 was great, they spec'd out the right roof system for my house, did a great job, and fixed problems I've been dealing with for years. Dennis hopped up on the roof during the estimate, I appreciated that, the other vendors just eyed it from the ground. I got three estimates, one company was more interested in doing my masonry, the other company was trying to give me the hard sell, "what do you need to think about?" A1 had copies of their Insurance & license in their packet. The other guys, "yeah, we've got that." Dennis knew a ridgeline vent wouldn't work on my install. The other companies said I had to install it. Everything I read said you don't mix an attic fan with a ridgeline vent. The last company, (Brothers Aluminum) said, "We're a GAF gold installer, 25 year GAF warranty, what do you need to think about." He was so arrogant that when he left I called GAF tech line. They said "A1 Roofing is right, Brother's Aluminum is wrong. You don't mix a ridgeline vent and attic fan. We have a technical bulletin on our website." Go with A1 Roofing, I shouldn't have to become an expert on roofing systems, and neither should you. A1 Roofing knows what they're doing. read more

A-1 put up a crazy number of leaking roofs at Birchwood at Spring Lake and on Spring Lake Condominium with sub-contracted venders. Kond of reminds me of the song that goes something like Oh Oh take the money and run. It will be interesting to see if A-1 is still around as the new roofs on connected townhome and condo continue to fail over the course of time. read more

Their quotation addressed every aspect of the project in detail, particularly with regard to replacing old fixed and movable skylights. The work crew was clearly well trained and experienced in installation, safety, and protecting the surrounding deck, landscape, and driveway with ample use of tarps, and magnets to find stray nails. We needed a new roof because of water leaking and damage inside the house. The price was reasonable and they were very nice, respectable and professional. We asked to keep the flue of the wood burning stove because it's still functional. Unfortunately rain was coming in from that location. A1 took out the new flue and covered it up no extra charge. Apart from the receptionist the response to trade enquiries was obnoxious. I have been in the construction business for many years and i have observed the quality of their work first hand. While they purport to be professional and EXPERT they hire cheap labour and charge high prices thereby maximising their profit margins, as can be seen by their new office location. A1 Roofing is the way to go if you need a new roof and/or gutters! The whole experience was fantastic from the office staff to the guys who worked on the roof. The office kept in constant communication with us to let us know dates, times and what would be done each time they were coming to the house. They were also always so friendly to speak with. Very good experience with this company. We had our roof done and they also replaced the roof of our small shed in the backyard. They had some leftover plywood from our roof and fixed up our shed without us even asking, they also did some extra repairs on our roof vent and replaced our attic fan. Good price and 25 months zero interest. They have done most of the roofs in our neighborhood. Very quick work, they came at 7 am and were finished before 3 pm. read more

I had a tear off done a year ago. The roofing job was done okay ( no problems)but I was disappointed with the finer touches and cleanup. The outside was cleaned up but not inside. They had to replace the skylight in my bathroom that I redid 2 years prior. They didn't have a drop cloth or vacuum the bathroom and left me with a jagged edge on the inside and a mess. They did not vacuum up the debris in the attic leaving me with so much soot, nails that they had to come back and go through the attic. I had to get a shop vac and do a storage area off my bedroom myself bc I didn't want them in my bedroom. I couldn't believe it!! read more

Don't use this company they a totally untruthful. I called and made an appointment for an estimate. I was given a date and time. When the tech did not show I called the company and was told its a 3 hour window of when he would come. I was not told this at the appointment. I waited another 4 hours and no show by anyone from the company. I called again to check on the status and after being placed on hold to find out what occurred I was told that the tech came to my house and rang the doorbell but no one answered. I was also told that he walked around the house and will be calling me with an estimate. Well I never received that call and I checked my surveillance cameras and none of them had any footage of anyone walking around my house or even parked in front of my house. If they can't even be truthful in appearing for an estimate imagine what they would do if they were hired. read more

A-I did my mom's roof about late 1998 they recommend 30 year shingles Now it's 2018 May for the past 8 + years the green stuff growing on the roof , dirt these shingles were garbage ! And their warranty is they will get the shingle computer out to check it out and if the compy stands by their warranty we will only have to pay for labor 10 or so men for a week of labor ! Hi, after very carefully vetting a roofing contractor I chose A1 Roofing and Siding to do the roof on my house due to their outstanding reputation and reviews. I couldn't be happier with the end result, they really are the best out there. They came on time, set up and covered my entire house and grass with tarps and plywood where needed and ripped the old roof off within an hour. The foreman listened to all my requests and did the job exactly as I wanted it done and to the utmost quality. They were professional the whole way and worked very hard. I observed the entire job and they cut no corners and treated my house as if it were their own, addressing any of my concerns along the way promptly. They covered my plants to protect them. They worked nonstop till noon, took a half hour for lunch and went back to work. As in the previous review (I agree with every thing in that review!), we also had a great experience using A1 to do our roof/ siding/gutters and leaders. A1 is family owned and operated and we first met with the dad, who was nice enough to come look at the job even though he has retired. Then John came as a follow up and to go over the job in great detail. From then on, John was always in contact with us regarding questions and any concerns we had. From start to finish, everyone involved in the renovation of our house, including Maria who was great handling all the office details, always in contact with us and keeping us informed from start to finish, were professional and pleasant to deal with. They treated our house and property as if it was their own and we felt like they renovated our house as if it was theirs. I can't think of a better compliment than that to make people see what a great company this is! My neighbor also observed what a great job A1 did on our house, watching them daily, that they also had A1 do some work for them. I also highly recommend having A1 do your roof, siding, ect.
