Very disappointed with my experience at Unik Wax. I arrived 7 min late for my appointment and the front lady with blonde hair in her 50s told me I had to wait until next appointment was done before she could see me Since late grace period is only 5 minute And they only give 15 min appointments for Brazilian wax. Valeria the manager/owner wasn't even able to come speak to me and was denied to talk to me and it felt unprofessional, especially since I scheduled in this location over 2 years. read more

Be warned... parking is a mission !! There is a Nicklaus's Children clinic right next door and there are patients going in and out at all times! Great Results.... Oh waxing day, my favorite time of the month....not! But after my first visit to this Uni K franchise, I might reconsider. Stopped in yesterday and my experience was quick and painless. The technician took her time to to make sure that she was very thorough and that all hairs were removed. Not a long wait (I've been to some other locations) and the staff was really friendly. Prices are very reasonable and if you book online they provide you with discounts and a rewards program. I did a bikini wax front and back and it literally took less than 30 min with Silvia. She was great, and even thought Now I did noticed they have pros he did not provide a "How to take care" afterwards I just assumed it was because this was not my first time. read more

I came here for my first ever Brazilian wax and the service was excellent! Silvia did my wax and she did help me relax! She made sure I was comfortable and made sure I was completely hairless! I had an appointment at 1:05 pm and arrived early knowing that it was my first time waxing and that it would take some time due to the pain . I did my wax with Martha J who was very rude ! I told her it was my first time and she was very rough during the process didn't explain anything and didn't care I was in pain. I asked if she could slow down she said no because she had other clients and slowing down would push her back which doesn't make sense as I arrived 15 mins early for my appointment therefore having more than enough time . I started bleeding a lot because of how rough she was. After the wax she gave me a piece of cotton and some gel and told me clean myself she didn't attempt to help me sanitize or anything then told me "take care" then left me in the room to clean myself .Horrible customer service and a horrible experience overall especially as a first time waxer . read more

I usually go to another location but was forced to make a last minute appointment in the doral location. The ladies were nice-- no issue with the service-- but whenever I get waxed in the other location my wax usually lasts about 2-3 weeks with no hair growth. I'm very disappointed as in this location I lasted 5 days, only five days and immediately had hair growth-- not even a FULL WEEK. Essentially I paid around $50 for 5 days of no hair. This is very disappointing as I always go to UNI K and only in this location did this happen to me. read more

So I went to Ania for my eyebrows and upper lip. I usually go to the coral gables location but since I was at work, I decided to come here. Ania was absolutely fantastic!!!! I have very thick eyebrows, which seem to be very hard for people to shape. Ania shaped them perfectly: not too round and not too arched. Just perfect. She also took out every single hair from my upper lip, something the coral gables location somehow never gets right (I really don't have that much hair by the way). The only reason I took off 1 star is because my friend got her inner buttocks strip waxed and they did not clean the buttocks area. She also informed me that the lady double dipped the wax stick even after she never cleaned!! GROSS. read more

This was my first time going to Uni.K.Wax, I'm not the waxing type girl because I have extremely sensitive skin. So I did my homework and decided to call and schedule my appointment , one bad observation I have is that the receptionist couldn't answer most of my questions about the the subject of waxing, wich made a little nervous, but I went any way. The place is in Doral at the shopping plaza next to the new Miami Childrens Plaza, very nice store, very clean. The lady who attend to me was Patricia, she has 10 years experience waxing, so she knows a lot, she was very quick and gentle. The rooms are very private. The wax that they use is made from natural ingredients, and is very gentle and for all skin types, they only use one kind of wax. I got 15% off for being a first time client. Patricia was very helpful and gave intructions and great tips in how to care for my skin after waxing. I was very happy with the service and the price was right. I will be back for sure! read more

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER! To start to tell you how bad it is, when i left i called corporate to tell them the bad service i had. 1. the lady while waxing my eyebrows was talking to me about "social problems" such as Ricky Martin's homosexuality, sexual preferences, and what is the welfare program. 2. if was painfull and uncomfortable 3. the lady "dropped" some wax in MY LASHES!!! really? i guess that does happen, but shouldnt she know better, and especially how to take it off. 4. after 5-10min of pain from her tugging on my lashes to try to take the wax off i asked her to finish my eyebrows 5. after finishing my eyebrows she insisted in taking the wax off ...and then sprayed ALCOHOL in my eye!!!!!!! not only does that burn my eye, but it burn where she just waxed!!!!!! 6. i told her to stop & i left 7. while paying i gave them my student ID (i saw in FIU they had a billboard of a 10%off students) and the lady said NO! ...during the same time the lady who waxed me was saying that i was nervous and that it was basicly my fault 8. after paying the worst $16 of my life i got in my car and caqlled corporate! * next time ill go to my sketchy beauty salon and get them done for $8* read more

I've been going to this location for over a year. Ania is the best! Always make me feel at ease. But....the parking situation in the shopping center is awful. After driving around for 10 minutes - I called to let them know why I was late. The receptionist was very quick to tell me that after 5 min late appt are canceled. I am never late! NEVER!!!! Going on vacation on Monday...need to get waxed! What's a girl to do??? Go elsewhere. Like I said, Ania is great! But this was a turn off - time to find a new place. read more

The worst receptionist ever. I had an appointment - which I scheduled DAYS in advance - and she tells me, with the most noncorteous tone of voice - "Your appointment will be late - at least 15 minutes late because the customer before you just arrived." What? What about the disclaimer "we cannot hold your appointment if you are late"? I was there early, schedule my appointment early, and was penalized - and treated poorly. I even asked if another person was available to do my eyebrows and got a nasty look. VERY unprofessional to say the least. read more
