The single most impactful decision we made that resulted in our perfect wedding was our decision to work with Nicole as our wedding planner. From our first phone call with Nicole, we could tell how genuine she was about her business. Nicole is welcoming, approachable, understanding, and worked well with our tendency to get overwhelmed and need some encouragement. We looked forward to our calls with Nicole because she clearly laid out each step of the planning process and how best to accomplish it. Outside of our calls, Nicole would respond promptly in a detailed and understandable way to each part of our emails. She often checked in on us and kept us on track. Nicole is the exact personality of someone who can handle the million tiny details of a wedding and make it look easy. We especially appreciated her assistance organizing everything in her online program Aisle Planner. She worked closely with us to build a minute-by-minute schedule we could use and send to our families and wedding party. She contacted our vendors beforehand and made sure everyone knew the timeline. Nicole came out to tour our venue at the Berkeley Brazilian Room. She took charge and asked all the right questions to confirm we would have what we needed the day of our wedding. She took down details about the floor plans to help make mock ups of the room. She was a confident and prepared presence. She led our wedding rehearsal and efficiently and painlessly prepared everyone in our wedding party. The day of the wedding, Nicole came and checked in on the wedding party in their getting ready rooms. She made sure the wedding party was ready to go. She even pinned on the groomsmen's boutonnieres! Nicole orchestrated over a dozen vendors to ensure our venue was perfectly set up like we discussed. It was so incredibly beautiful. We were so grateful that she had all of the vendors' contact information, knew when they would arrive, and she handled any last minute challenges that popped up. Everyone was so appreciative of that! Both sides of our families said that they were able to relax during our wedding thanks to Nicole. She and her day-of assistant Mary even came with an earpiece com-system so they could talk back and forth to coordinate things without disturbing the event. It was each little thing, down to her "just in case" kit that I needed in the getting ready room that made me feel so taken care of, I just knew no one else could have been who Nicole was for us throughout this entire process. Thanks to Nicole's excellent work, we were able to relax and enjoy every moment of our beautiful dream-come-true wedding. I wholeheartedly recommend Nicole to my friends and family! Pre Booking: When we initially chatted, Melissa made me feel super comfortable and she cultivated trust. I had no hesitations and we went ahead and booked her. What stood out was her commitment to her clients and how much she cares about her work. Leading Up to the Wedding: We did a final venue tour about a month out where we went over questions and site details with the venue coordinator. It went really well and Melissa guided us in thinking through final decisions based on her expertise, but did an incredible job at prioritizing our needs and vision. I put together all of our contracts, tablescapes, and details of who would be bringing what to the wedding in a folder for her so there wouldn't be any surprises for her. Day Of Wedding On the day of our wedding, Melissa took care of all of the details which included overseeing set up of both the ceremony and reception areas at our venue, being the contact person for our vendors, and ensuring we stayed on schedule with our photographer and for the wedding. When I arrived to the venue, she asked a few questions to confirm details and then sent me off to finish getting ready. I ended up doing significantly less work than I thought day of thanks to her! She was so incredible to work with and she ensured that we could enjoy our wedding day together and not have to worry about little details. As an event planner myself, I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking at ways to ease stress and enjoy their wedding day! I just want to say Bernice was absolutely wonderful to work with. She did such a wonderful job executing every part of our wedding. Bernice was always very easy to talk to and listened to what we had in mind for our wedding, as well as, getting to know us as a couple. Immediately we knew that we wanted to work with her as our day of coordinator. Hiring her was the best decision we made for our wedding and put less stress on us. She was always available to answer any and all of our questions, whether it was by email, by phone, or meeting in person. She gave great ideas throughout the wedding planning process and offered her suggestions to make things run smoother. They do serve lunch to 2pm. We were here to have lunch and then take pictures at their lavender farm. Hopping to catch some blooming lavender. Sadly, it was mostly a green garden w not much blooming lavender. There were a few other flowers blooming tho. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) plenty of parking. 2) location was plain but pretty and clean. 3) they had like 4 to 8 tables on the front by the parking area where you walk in. I saw a few people eating there. 4) they had a beautiful wooden table in the back on the grassy area with 6 chairs around it. That's where we sat for lunch. Our reservation was at 12pm. We got seated right away. Today was perfect to eat outside. There is no indoor seating or a restaurant here. I didn't see any. 5) there is a gift shop. But we didn't make it to see the inside 6) they serve salads and sandwiches here for lunch. Very simple and short menu. Their soup of the day today was tomato bisque. 7) our sandwiches and salads tasted fine. But salads are large portions. I could have shared my chicken salad with another. Sandwiches are normal size. Enough for one person. 8) Drinks were ok. Water tasted good. No funky or metal taste to it. 9) two porter potty bathroom but clean. Not the typical blue porter potties at putdoor events. A little nicer and it flushes. 10) our server was very nice. Cons 1) it took a long time to get our meals once we ordered. We were seated at 12pm. But we didn't get our salads and sandwiches till like an hourish later. By the time our foods came out, we sat to catch up and eat, and celebrate a bday, it was like 1:45ish already. Gift shop closes at 2pm. 2) our young server seems like she's still in training. But she was good. Wish they check on their customers more often. But maybe she was the only one taking orders. I don't know. 3) Conclusion This location was nice. Clean. Pretty. There wasn't any lavender blooming when we were there. But I heard it's a hit and miss to catch it in bloom too get beautiful pictures. It's ok though. We found other areas to get nice photos in. Foods were ok. Meh. But salads looked pretty and in large portions. Chicken on the salads were perfectly made. It was juicy and not dry. Each of our plates were $18. There is a small drinks menu. With both their menus being short, it made it so much easier to order something. Love that no one rushed us out after 2pm. We were allow to take our time on the area to take photos. They were setting up for a 4pm wedding. Not to bad here.
