I am known for being an optimist but for The Party Connection I would give negative stars if I could. This is my second time using party connection and it is only because I had a credit I wanted to use up which is where I will start. I ordered tables and chairs from party connection for my wedding in October. The lady on the phone was super nice and they offered a discount for paying cash so I thought that was cool. I was unsure how many tables to order and she suggested to order enough to seat all my invitees and that I could call a week ahead of time and cancel them when I got my RSVPS back so that's what I did. A week before the wedding I called with my final number and was informed I would have a credit for my next purchase. I was bummed because it was a good chunk of change but got over it. Fast forward to the day before the wedding. I had all my helpers there and ready for the tables at 12 because the tables were supposed to be delivered between 9-12. After calling the store and the girl who sold them to me's cell phone over and over again with no answers they finally called me back at 4 stating that they were loading up and on their way. The venue was only 15 minutes out so I figured an hour max. NOPE. The tables and chairs were finally delivered at 7pm!! Which is hours after my help had left and had arrived during our practice. That is not the worst part. The tables and chairs were an embarrassment to have at my wedding. The chairs were supposed to be white but they were weathered, scratched, and tarnished. A couple were broken and I noticed as they were unloading and gave them back to the guy without even receiving an apology or replacement we were just short chairs at that point. The delivery drivers even seemed embarrassed by what they were delivering!!! What they have is something you would want at your wedding. The tables were just as bad. They were lopsided, and the wood tops were uneven. The table cloths helped cover the ugly but I'm sure the uneven tables were noticeable to our guests. I called to express my experience after the wedding in efforts to at least get my credit in cash and was unsuccessful. Fast forward two months. A family friend passed away and I was elected to put on the reception. I decided to roll the dice and use my credit at the party connection. I figured 13 table cloths wasn't a tall order, especially if I were picking them up. That was a mistake. I picked up my table cloths the morning of the day requested. And then went back to the venue to set up. After arriving at the venue and taking the cloths out of the package I found that they were the wrong shape! I ordered 13 rounds and they gave me banquets! After driving all the way back the girl basically called me a lair saying I ordered banquets. Then calls "the girl who took my order" tells her my last name and asks if I ordered banquets and the girl agrees. Really?!? I know what kind of tables I have thanks! She starts to tell me there's nothing she can do and I did not accept that. This wasn't some holiday party. It was a funeral reception! She finally makes a call and is informed they have extras and she tells me she will have to press them and will call me when they're ready. Already having trust issues with this place I insisted on waiting. I sat there while writing this review and waiting for my table cloths. She dug up some, and started pressing them, she came out a few times offering to bring them to me when she was done, not happening lady I need these on time this time. Then she says I will have 1 table cloth longer than the rest. After 10 minutes we are up to 4 tables cloths of the 13 that are longer than the rest. What a joke. This place was so helpful to me. I had a village coming from Texas and didn't have enough tables and chairs. The prices were very reasonable. This is a tough review because I received great service from the people working at this business. However, the quality of tables rented really needs to be addressed. I rented some 6' tables, a round table, and folding chairs for a birthday party on a tight squeeze since I was a little short on tables and chairs. The lady who assisted me throughout my order was very friendly and professional. However, she wasn't kidding when she said that I needed to cover the tables. These tables look like they came from the seventies - badly beaten. They do not fold, by the way, so you need to make sure you have enough cargo space to fit them. The plastic around the edges of the tables was peeling off and one table was slightly broken. The chairs were decent quality so no complaints there. The tables did serve their function just fine, but they really should be updated to the modern, folding plastic ones, in my opinion. I also wish they would be open on Sundays so I could return the tables and chairs. Most rentals are done on a Saturday and everyone wants to return things on Sunday. On top of this, they don't offer delivery or pick up (at least not to my knowledge) and their Monday hours were 9:30-5. Being a 8-5 Mon-Fri office guy, this was a major inconvenience for me. I don't fault them too much because I was warned about this before I even paid for my rental, but I do want to give a heads up to future customers. I know you guys want to enjoy your Sunday like everyone else, but even a couple of hours in the morning would be nice. The two stars are given solely on the good customer service, but I cannot justify giving any more stars based on the quality of the equipment and business hours. I only went this route because I was in a pinch and Jenny's Jumpers wasn't available (which was my first choice for rentals based on Yelp, but I have not had any personal experience with them). read more

I wish I could give Party Connection more than 5 stars. Lupe and her team were an absolute dream to work with for my wedding in April. It was a backyard wedding for about 350 guests. It honestly wouldn't have been possible without Lupe. She saved me time and time again. I rented tables, chairs, linens, silverware, champagne flutes, water globets--basically everything--from her. From the beginning Lupe went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Not only that, she helped me with designing the layout, who could help with set-up and clean-up, and helped put out fires, like getting umbrellas the day before the wedding! She took on different roles that she honestly didn't have to, and it was all because she cares sooo much about her customers. At one point I expressed my concerns to her about other yelp reviews on here, specifically with the garden chairs. She asked me to take a look a the chairs, and offered to help find another vendor on my behalf if I wasn't satisfied with how the garden chairs looked. The drop-off and pickup of the materials were a breeze and everything was of amazing quality. I'm definitely a long-life customer now. Do yourself a favor and give Party Connections a try--you most definitely won't regret it. read more

I've used this place a few times for rental of chairs and tables and I've never had an issue with them. Quality isn't the best, but definitely worth it when everyone is sold out of the stuff you need. The last time I rented from Party Connection, I was a day late in bringing back the stuff, Lupe was super cool. Without hesitation she let me know not to worry about paying a late fee. I thought that was really nice of her because most business owners take advantage of making that extra cash. Will continue renting from them. read more

Here is a quick summary, you can read on below for more details. + they were able to add several items a few days before the wedding +Everything was in decent conditions (tables are sketchy looking, but with the table covers they were fine. -They mislead me about their refund policy - the delivery truck was SUPER late. -They made no attempt to apologize or keep me as a customer. I was excited to order the rentals for my wedding from this place. Other family members had used them in the past and had great things to say. When I walked in the first time, someone helped me within 10 minutes. I pretty much knew what I wanted and created a list of items. I paid the deposit and that was that. I went in a few months later (still months before the wedding day) To pay off the balance, I asked SEVERAL times, that if I paid the full amount, would I be able to get a refund for items I didn't end up needing. I was told that "yes absolutely", I would get a refund (minus the deposit) up to one week before the wedding day. With this in mind, I reserved several more items than I planned on needing in case I had more guests attend the event. So on this trip I paid the balance in full, expecting to get a chunk of change $$$ in return. A little more than a week before the wedding, I called to cancel some items, I didn't have all the extra guests attending. I asked if I needed to come in in person or if I could get my refund by canceling items over the phone. I was told "We don't do that" The woman on the phone explained that they do not give refunds at all, just a store credit. (Store credit does me no good, as I don't live in the area and won't be needing anything they sell). They told me I have a year to use the store credit. After explaining that I was told I could get a refund her response was just "sorry, no" I gave up on this and decided to use the money to add a few extras to my wedding. They were very accommodating and were able to add an archway, a couple food tables and a couple tablecloths to my list of rentals. It was helpful that they were able to add things just a week before a June wedding. They deliver rentals on the day before the event and pick them up the day after. (except for me they waited til Monday because they are closed on Friday). The WORST part of all of this come next. They have four-hour delivery and pick-up windows. I told them they could deliver any time Friday morning, but I had to have the rentals absolutely no later that 11am. Any time from 8-11 would be fine. They wrote down "10-11am-no later" on the work order. I would have a group of people to set up before the rehearsal, leaving time to run last minute errands etc. Once I got to the location at 10am I received a phone call saying they would be late and to expect them around 1pm, maybe before. This means I was stuck at the site with my helpers with nothing to do. Around 12:30 I called to see if they were on track, the front desk tried calling the delivery driver, no luck. Around 1:15 she called me back to say the driver was delayed and was on his lunch break and wouldn't make it until 2:30. So this is 3.5 hours after the time I absolutely needed to have them. They finally got their at 3pm, during the rehearsal. We had to stop the rehearsal to explain were everything went and to get the work order. Rather than being able to set up in the morning when it was cooler, we had to set up in the heat of the day. (Think central valley out door summer wedding). We were all so exhausted from spending the entire day waiting around for the rentals, we also ended up having to forgo some of our wedding errands becasue of how The Party Connection wasted our time. The delivery guys were nice and professional. Unloaded quickly and seemed to feel bad for being so behind schedule. I received no discount or apology from the store for their lateness. Hopefully if you go with their services it will work out, but it's safe to say that I would not recommend this business, or go back if I ever needed similar services. read more

Bad customer service with an attitude. Seems to be family owned, and must have all inherited the snobbish, too entitled attitude. I was 7 months pregnant and the staff just watched as I unloaded chairs from the back of my car. If I could give them zero stars I would. One of the worst business in Turlock. I have used The Party Conenction for all my events. It is a local owned business and they have always accomodated me in everyting. They have really good prices and are really good about adding last minute things, such as linens and china and so forth. I wont sit here and write an entire book like the first review, lol. But I will recommend this store to everyone. The girls that work at the store are good about giving me a discount cause I'm a frequent customer. read more
