Purchased a robe along with lingerie as a last minute surprise for my new husband on the morning of my wedding day on 10 December. I was hesitant on the robe and sales lady said it was returnable (store credit) if I found something else. I told her I wanted something that matched better because they did have anything that remotely matched the set. She said she'd leave a note that since it was my wedding, and the holidays that she didn't want me to feel rushed for the return if it didn't work - I'd have until the end of January. She'd leave a note on the account. I thought she was so helpful and nice and I gushed about how I had always wanted to come in and shop local for lingeri... On January 29 I walk in and from the word go there are problems. Different lady makes a face when I tell her I'd like to make a return upon entering shop. So I explained about the conversation. She asks for a paper receipt. I was never given one - only electronic. She still seems incredulous that I'm trying to make a return. I'm just doing what I was TOLD I COULD DO! She's treating me like I'm trying to game them out of something! Luckily I was able to find the receipt in my email and she asks me for a code that isn't there. She looks me up in the system sees the date - 10 Dec - and tells me it's over 30 days sorry can't return for store credit. I reiterated about what the other lady told me and said she did - left a note on the account. There apparently is no note. She's still treating me like I'm some kind of scammer. The kicker? The robe is a L/XL and I'm 5'1 small/med. I was in such a rush on my wedding day I didn't notice she handed me a robe that was the wrong size. I was ALSO signed up for marketing emails I never asked for. Now I'm stuck with $130 robe I can't use and these stupid marketing emails for a place I'll never ever return to. All for trying to support a local business and taking what the sales lady told me as the truth. I was lied to by Underwear's staff to make a sale to a girl who was excited on her wedding day. They don't honor their word. I'll make sure to share my experience. I hope my purchase was worth the word of mouth you're going to get from it. read more

No appointment needed, just walk-in anytime and staff (hey Savannah!) was super sweet and helpful. It is a smaller shop so they don't have every size available but they can order what you need. I have been buying my intimates at Underwear for awhile now...but my last experience has really led me to write this review. A few months ago some weirdo stole all of my intimates out of my (public) laundry room. Yikes! I was so bummed out because I had spent a lot on those pieces. Underwear is not a cheap store...or so I thought. Since I thought it too expensive too completely re-stock at Underwear, I purchased cheap-o panties from the department store. They barely lasted through a month of washing! So I splurged and got everything I needed at Underwear knowing it will all hold up. The quality is what you're paying for here...panties that don't leave that icky elastic mark on your middle, frills and lace that don't lose their shape in the wash, no lines through your clothing, bras that fit so perfectly! The lost star is only because I wish they had more sizes in everything! You can always order the size you need but sometimes I'm shopping for a certain outfit or something and need it sooner. read more

After a truly horrible experience at Victoria's Secret, I made the trip over to Underwear to see if I could find some nicer undergarments than my standard GAP underwear. I really liked this store from the moment I walked in. A small boutique, with a number of products. The salesgirls said hello to me, but then just left me alone to browse, which is exactly the way I prefer to shop. The garments they carry are made from natural fabrics and well made, much nicer than anything you would find at a chain. Granted, a lot of the items are out of my price range. They carry some really gorgeous lace camisoles and night gowns that can run up to $250. You know, the really nice, soft lace, not the itchy, mass-produced kind? I almost convinced myself I could afford a $90 satin and lace nightgown, but I opted for a camisole set than ran closer to $50. I wish they carried more stuff in my price range, but there are just enough things I can afford that will keep me coming back. read more

A clue: if someone walks into your shop, and she is not wearing a bra -- try to sell her one! It's like knowing that someone just rode the bus into your Ford dealership. There's this one bra I want. I've been to Neiman Marcus, then Scarborough's, now here. You'd think that a pintsize boutique, which must stock about 70 items, might enjoy selling expensive lingerie to a lady and her boyfriend (hint, if you bring the man, he's going to have you get the two best things you find). These ladies basically insulted me for wanting a very specific item, then made no effort to show me any of the offerings they did have on hand, and told me I should drive out to Barton Creek Mall rather than look around their shop. The one star is for the oversized dog, sprawled happily along the length of the store, who was happy to get lovin's from the boyfriend. read more

Under-sexy! OK, that wasn't clever. But for serious - HAWT! If you're looking for Frederick's or Victoria's Secret this is the wrong place. I feel like I'm buying grown-up undergarments and not in the white granny panty kind of way. I felt sophisticated, classy, sexy and naughty all at the same time. The items are pricier, but well worth it in my opinion. The one down side, since they are small and have limited stock and quantities, you might not be able to find your size in a specific item. However, they can order it if you want. I know some had bad experiences with some of the employees, but that was awhile ago I believe. The woman I worked with was FANTASTIC and incredibly attentive and helpful. I will be coming back to shop in general, but more importantly for my honeymoon! read more

I had the incredibly frustrating experience of finding exactly the garter belt I wanted, only to find out that Underwear did not have it in my size and was not interested in ordering my size. UGH However, this was not enough to make me not come back. The store has great taste, really classy items that are hard to find elsewhere, and a fabulous atmosphere. I want to spend money here, I really do. So I stopped back about once a month for 3-4 months in a row this past spring. (They told be new garter belts would be coming in. None did.) Finally, some attempt to help me out was made. They offered to show me the catalogues they were ordering from! Awesome! I saw some cute pieces - though none as perfect as that first one in notmysize - and again, I run into this sizist crap. They're only ordering small and medium. The end. They say they can order something for me (but not the original piece) if I promise to buy it AND pay the shipping. What kind of bunk is that? That was enough to make me not come back. read more

The girl at the counter was really nice, but one very useful piece of information would have been what sizes they carry. When I came in, I was told to look around and if I saw anything I liked to ask for my size. Now, I am a 34FF, which although not standard in some shops is not unusual by any means. I just thought that an underwear specialty store would stock more than Victoria's Secret sizes. I was a little peeved, but it was my fault for making an assumption which happened to be untrue. I was unaware that they do not do fittings there because of the experience I had, but come on ladies, if you are going to shell out, go to a department store or Petticoat Fair, where at least you can ensure the proper fit of your bra. read more

I love their selection and have found my favorite bras here (an elle macpherson and a cosabella) and they were not outrageously expensive. I think around $70 each and have lasted me for a couple of years. I think buying higher end brands is worth it for their comfort and durability and also (duh) the way they look. Sometimes I have to remind myself before I shell out $70 for a bra that it will last a looong time. I have only interacted with the owner of the store, who is exceptionally helpful and nice. She asked my size and pulled out a bunch of bras for me to try. I gave her feedback on which were too small/big and she picked out more based on my feedback. I was very happy with the service and selection. I have a small/medium bust with a wide ribcage and I had little trouble finding several things in my size. The cosabella bras were by far my favorite and super comfortable without sacrificing cuteness. I like their selection of bathing suits as well. I did not buy any, but they were very unique and I hadn't seen them anywhere else. I like that they carry smaller brands. read more

The girls are nice, but the bras are costly ($60 +). It's a small, boutique atmosphere, lots of pretty panties and things. They don't do fittings here, but they eyeball the fit and help you to find a good fit based on the problems that you are having. read more

Lucky me, because I had the best lingerie shower on earth, thanks to my great friends and the gals at Underwear. Everyone chipped in a certain dollar amount, and I was awarded a lovely gift card upon entering this darling shop. I had been in once before, a couple of years ago, but I always thought everything there was at least $100. Not so. I scored three magnificent sets- not just three items- for around $400. The two women working were beyond helpful without being pushy, and I breezed into a large fitting room with a couple dozen gorgeous items all in my size, perfectly pulled for me. They even let my bridesmaids bring in their own champagne and chocolates to the fete. They didn't seem stressed to host 16 girls, 30 minutes after they normally closed, for an hour and a half. We had the best time, and I am so lucky to have gotten to pick out my own items instead of getting a dozen sub par cheap sets from the proverbial chain store. read more

After investing in some really wonderful basics from Underwear, I am a HUGE fan. The staff remember my size and preferences and have given me life changing advice on bra fit. A cute boutique, Underwear offers a limited selection of really nice stuff. However, they also have VERY limited sizes. If you are tiny, like under a C-cup, you will love this place! However, for larger than a C, you need to go to Petticoat Fair. The staff at Underwear are truly sweet, and they are the ones who referred me to Petticoat Fair, where I found everything I needed. I can get Elle Macpherson and Chantelle bras in my size, cute Hanky Panky thongs, etc., and it's a local business with an owner who is attentive and knowledgable.
