So why am I giving this Foot Locker four stars? This place appeals to the hunt and gather shopper in me. I'm pretty sure this is a Foot Locker outlet type of store. Prices seem to be much lower than other Foot Lockers, with constant sales of 40-70% off all their sneakers and sports apparel. This place is great if you're looking for regular sneakers for the gym, running or just plain working out. The apparel is also priced really well. I've gotten sports bras (my eyes thank me), padded socks for running, running shoes, and on my list visit, I even came across a random pair of hipster-like Pumas that I am now wearing and loving. The downside of this place is it seems to lack a bit of organization. Boxes are laid out haphazardly on the tables and you pretty much have to look through every box that's your size to find shoes that you may like. It helps if you have a couple of companies you're brand loyal to. It also seems like a bit of a disaster zone in that Century 21 sort of way, but really, the prices make up for it. It's also very hit or miss. One day you can go in and walk out with nothing, while two months later, you could end up with several pairs of gym pants, socks and two pairs of sneakers. Personally, I think it's the randomness that makes it awesome.

So maybe one has slightly more clothing than the other, but it doesn't much matter. This location is in Cross County (along with Foot Locker and a Kid's Foot Locker/Action). I only came in to return/exchange a pair of boots, but they didn't have my size. The lady who helped me was friendly. Another employee was ok. Pricing is generally on the higher end - but "brand" names for sneakers/boots are also pricey. If forced to even go to Cross County in the first place and forced to go into one of the "Foot" stores, this would be the better choice over it's nasty Foot Locker location. They may not have the exact same selections in some cases, but chances are you'll have a better experience in this location.

This is a good-sized shop, bright from huge windows, that's filled with colorful shoes, assorted kitsch, and warm people. The shoes are outstanding, and the staff members are amazingly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. (Jazz, in particular, helped us on the day we were there! Thank you again for your patience and for making us feel so welcome!) The variety of styles is incredible, and at least everything that I tried was supremely comfortable. Most of the store is women's shoes, but there's a decent amount of men's shoes as well. If they don't have the size in the store, they can check other stores and have them sent to you. There's a convenient - although NY-priced - garage half a block away, if you're driving. Really, go in and try them.
