THE place to go for grillz. The shop is tiny but super chill.People there are honest and professional. Get to the second floor, check the tattoo shop as you walk in, look on your left, say hi and have a seat on the long leather bench. They ll ask you what you wish to get... It s pretty low key and easy. when you know what you want, they ll take the mold to make sure it fit perfectly and make a file to know exactly what you want and where you want it. The girl that made my mold wore gloves before touching the material and cleaned everything before my eye. you can tell they know what there are doing. If it s not too busy you can get it the next day!!!! Prices are correct! Going around Fulton Mall you ll get so many levels but 80% or more of those shops actually get the grillz done with Underground Grillz... i don t want to kill the business but one of the "reseller" sold me a plated gold piece for a solid gold. i learnt my lesson and like to stay with the source right the way. Thanks guy! I got two pieces already, getting a third one and I ll be back for more!!!

You know it's summertime cause I'm out here grillin'! #rosegold #goldslugs

i been wanting to butter my lips with a gold grill for a while now (yeah, i'm super ratchet!) so i figured this would be a nice souvenir of our latest trip out east. i don't know my way around brooklyn at all so google maps points the way for us - F train, get off at metrotech/J st station, blah blah...what it don't tell you is gots to go cross the street to the second floor (umm, this is not underground, lmao!) in this building where this tattoo shop is. go INTO the tattoo shop and around the corner you see a door to a closet sized workshop with like 7 people working! and working hard too. the benches where the customers sit outside the door also double as storage for equipment. you might have to raise up so they can access occasionally. we got there on a friday afternoon and there was one kid in front of us. he just needed to get his grill adjusted slightly so it fit better. while we sat there and chatted, he told us how his experience with this shop has been nothing but pleasant and that he's been a long time customer. when it was our turn up next, the dude (mebbe owner? i didn't catch his name) was extremely knowledgeable and really friendly. we were getting 2 grills (my bro got the all cheese look with yellow gold while i went with the rose gold) he cut us a discount and offered to do free diamond cuts (i think it's free for everybody that gets grill) but we opted for the cleaner gold slugs look instead. we discussed how many teeth (6 but in retrospect, we prolly shoulda got 8 for the extra $100) and uppers or lowers. we went with the latter as you can see in my pics. the gal that came to take the mold of our teeth was quick and professional, seemed like she must have done it a million times before and there were no surprises. gloves on, and new appliances were used for each mold. we could have paid an extra expedite fee but it still would have cut it too close to our departure time on monday (they closed on sunday) so we just had our homegirl fetch them and ship them to us. i was slightly worried that they wouldn't fit and we wouldn't be able to get them corrected but the other gal that worked there assured us that with only 6 teeth it shouldn't be an issue. 2 weeks later we can confirm that these fit perfectly. i can't knock their hustle. they took a space about the size of an average parking spot and have provided 7 people with jobs. that's what's up! i love supporting the little guy. they take pride in their work and the products they make. looking for mouth jewelry in east new york, you could do worse than here!

Diamonds fell out in only 6 days and I only worn them twice.

Their pieces are smaller, more delicate than classic jewelry found in "fine jewelry" stores -- perfect for a more casual, subtle everyday look. I own a collection of Catbird pieces, mostly the 14K gold stackable rings which I mix and match, but also necklaces and stud earrings. And I'm not done collecting yet! LOL. They also offer "zapped" bracelets in-person which I find intriguing. Several celebrities have been sighted wearing their pieces (e.g., Meghan Markle). I love that Catbird's jewelry is made in New York, is ethically sourced, and offers convenient purchases online. Shipping is fairly quick -- 2-3 days for my orders. I also love that Catbird has a level of quality I can trust without needing to try pieces on before ordering. I would love to visit the brick and mortar store. Prices aren't always to my liking for some of the thinner pieces, but the store sometimes offers discount codes and/or sales.

I had a very disappointing experience with this business. I initially brought in two rings, one for…read morereshaping and another for a diamond replacement and repair. The ring that was repaired was significantly over-polished, and I was given a replacement diamond that did not match the quality or grade of the existing diamonds in the ring, which was visibly noticeable. I returned to the store, where I was told the diamond grade and gold weight had not been recorded, though they acknowledged the over-polishing issue and diamond grade issue. I was then informed that a casting would be ordered so my original diamonds could be reset due to the over-polishing. However, when I returned, I was told the casting could not accommodate my diamonds because they were different sizes--meaning the stone measurements were not taken before the casting was ordered. At that point, I was told a fully custom ring would need to be made to fit my diamonds, which made me very hesitant. Eventually, the custom ring was completed, but I was not satisfied with the result. The color of the gold appeared different, and I was never informed that the original ring's weight had not been documented. I later called to confirm whether the ring was solid gold and was told it was. However, only a few months after receiving the new ring, it has significantly bent. My previous ring lasted 6-7 years without any structural issues, so this level of bending so quickly is very concerning. Overall, what started as a repair issue turned into an ongoing problem with communication, quality, and craftsmanship. I am very disappointed with the final result and the overall experience.

I had to share my experience because I truly wish I had come here from the very beginning…read more Jangmi was actually the first place I went to when I started ring shopping. I wanted to see a variety of designs, shapes, and settings--and they had so many beautiful options to try on. The experience was warm, helpful, and not overwhelming at all. However, I ended up going with another jeweler a few stores down because my boyfriend had a connection there. The moment I received my ring, I immediately regretted not choosing Jangmi. The ring I got was nothing close to what I had asked for. The prongs were bent, and I had specifically requested a higher setting so that a wedding band could sit flush--but none of my bands (even very thin ones) sat properly. I brought it back and asked for multiple fixes. To his credit, he did make adjustments for free, but when I received the ring the second time, it still didn't match my vision at all. What I wanted was simple and classic: a 6-prong setting with tall, straight prongs (similar to the Tiffany style) and small claw tips. Instead, the ring was still not high enough, and the prongs were extremely thick--both from the top and side view--which completely took away from the beauty of the diamond. At that point, I was honestly so frustrated and ready to give up. But I remembered how positive my initial experience at Jangmi was, so I decided to reach out and ask if they could reset my ring. Even though the previous jeweler was willing to keep making changes for free, I didn't feel comfortable going back. I would much rather pay for something done right. And I am SO glad I did. Jangmi had the exact design I had been envisioning all along. Mrs. Kim was incredibly patient, attentive, and knowledgeable. She had a wax model made for me to try on before finalizing the ring, which made such a huge difference. Seeing and wearing the design in person gave me so much confidence--honestly, I preferred this so much more than just looking at CAD images, which can be hard to interpret if you're not in the industry. Within just two weeks, my ring was exactly what I had dreamed of from the start. The craftsmanship, the proportions, the setting--everything was perfect. My biggest regret is not coming to Jangmi Jewelry from the beginning. But one thing I can promise is that I will absolutely be coming back here for my wedding bands. If you're even thinking about going here--just do it. You won't regret it!
