Tupac and I love it here! Dogs everywhere running freely around with a huge backyard space. Even if you don't have one, you have plenty to choose from to play with! If you are wanting to socialize your dog and be able to have a drink and watch the game, I highly recommend you bring your fur baby and friends here! They have water bowls for you to fill and use, a huge enclosed backyard for your dogs to run around in or freely roam inside the bar and on the patio.

Inside pool tables

My favorite neighborhood bar. We love coming to hangout/play pool with a chill ambiance. Drinks are very decent for the prices they charge! Really only need 2/3 to do the job. It is dog friendly, so we always enjoy seeing the friendly pups roam around. Steve is our guy and never fails to take care of us.

I've frequented this place over the past 3 + years and I must admit I love the fact that they allow dogs inside and out here. So sweet to be able to pet and play with the pooches! If there is one place you'd love to indulge specialty whisky concoctions, it's here. Try the maple bacon... Yes. Bacon. Also, the PIE SHOTS. MMM PIES.... ALL KINDS OF PIES.... BUT IN A SHOT.... THANK ME LATER. Good food truck outside, food delivered here too... So Grab a seat or play some pool, either way, between the great staff and beer and drink selections, everything is phenomenal! (Note: This place is not clubby, trendy, high endy or stuck uppy)

I've got good news!!! Now i want to Celebrate!!! Do you have food, too? Can I bring my little dog, she saved my life when I had a break in - I got hurt pretty bad but she bit that big man, gave me just a second that I needed, I pulled out my Glock 9mm and beat him to the draw!! I'm still alive

Food truck hot dog. Delicious

Great selection of beer and whiskey! We've been there twice, and the service was good even on NYE when there was only one kind of overwhelmed bartender. Friendly and helpful staff all the time. Infused liquors for great, fun cocktails. The pool table isn't quite level, but as long as you know this bar is a bit of a dive, it's great for what it is. Added bonus: the food truck outside is awesome. Get the hot dog!

Great fun local spot. Friendly bartenders who know everything they are serving you because they are the owners. Also, a great spot to go and bring your dog so they can play off leash..

Was looking for a dog friendly bar that also offered craft cocktails and came across Underdogs Pub. Turns out they're famous for not only their craft liquor selection but for their liquor infusions. For our first shot we decided on a Strawberry Habanero infusion made with Blue Nectar tequila. Normally it's made in a margarita but we decided on the shot route instead and we were happy we did! It was delicious. If you're in Houston and around the Washington area, or even if you're not in the area, Underdogs is definitely a place you should stop by.

This is my first time here, by invite from a friend. She was having the house Bloody Mary called the Bacon Cilantro Blood Mary. I tried it and it opened my eyeballs like I was on coke. It's awesome! Very impressed. A must try. On Thursday all their craft drafts are $3! This is what I call a happy hour.

Dogs OFF LEASH. Enough said. This is the only bar in Houston that I know of that let's pups off leash and roam wherever they please. The bartender/owner Dustin is super friendly and recommended the amazing mango lemonade. And let me tell you. This drink is so sneaky. It's not too sweet and doesn't taste like pure alcohol, but it will mess you UP. They have a huge beer and infused liquor selection as well. They cater to any alcoholic! Jk. But they are really awesome. I will definitely be back. It's an amazing place to grab a drink and meet new doggies.

We enjoyed a glass or two of wine, tossed some darts, and soaked in the relaxed, unpretentious vibe. It is casual in the right way. Easy to talk, easy to stay, and not trying too hard to be anything other than a solid local bar. The real highlight, though, is Posty the bar cat. An adorable black and white cat who clearly runs the place. Getting to know Posty outside was an unexpected and genuinely charming moment that made the stop memorable. If you are a cat person, this alone will win you over. Even if you are not, it is hard not to smile. Great drinks, darts, friendly energy, and a bar cat that steals the show. There are always a ton of people here, and it's the kind of place where you'll probably run into five friends you didn't even know were going to be there. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a smoking section, and dogs are allowed. The whole place is pretty open, so it can definitely get a little hot when the weather is hot, but that's just part of the setup. The staff has always been friendly, quick, and attentive, even when the place is packed. Drinks are good and the bar is very well maintained and professionally run. They do have a food truck, but I can't really recommend it based on my experience. When I walked up to order, another customer stopped me and told me not to because they had already been waiting almost two hours for their food. Luckily, Kirby Ice House allows you to bring in outside food, so you can order a pizza, have someone bring food over, or grab something nearby instead. Parking can get a little tight during the bigger games, but most of the time it's manageable. They also check IDs at the entrance, so be prepared for that when you walk in. Overall, it's just a really fun, social place to watch a game, grab some drinks, bring your dog, and hang out with a big group. It gets crowded, but that's also part of what makes it fun.

There's no bad seat in the house. If you're coming here for any kind of championship sports event, come early and get your seat cause it gets packed. You also avoid waiting in line for ID check. We got there 2-3 hours early, ordered drinks and ordered food from the food trucks. The taco truck's street tacos were so good, but it was a 40-45 minute wait that day...and it was SO HOT out. You get a buzzer, so there's no point in waiting by the truck. Might be quicker on other regular days, though. The burger food truck was quicker, but I wasn't in the mood for it. There's a variety of seating for whatever you prefer - picnic table, iron table, bar table, and cushioned patio lounge chairs. The servers checked in often and brought the drinks out. There's a free water station with cups. Restrooms are down one end. Ironically, on the game day, the women's restroom line moved quicker than the men's! Lol. Great place to hang out and catch a game!

There's also a Luigi's Pizzeria right next door that you can access from the outdoor seating area, and they frequently have pop-up food vendors. When we visited, there was a little taco stand set up as well. The place was absolutely packed when we went because they were hosting some sort of event with vendors and even a best-dressed fairy costume contest. I've been here for other events where they've had mechanical bulls and all sorts of different activities. It seems like there's always something fun going on. The bartenders were friendly, and while there was a bit of a line to get drinks, it wasn't too bad considering how crowded it was. My one complaint is their strange ID and wristband system. Instead of checking IDs when people walk in, staff periodically come around to groups that are already sitting down and hanging out to check IDs and hand out wristbands. I understand they transition to a 21-and-up bar later in the evening, but the system just feels a little awkward and disorganized. Overall, Axelrad is a really fun bar with a great atmosphere, plenty of seating, and a good selection of drinks. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a sports bar since there aren't many TVs, but if you're looking for somewhere to hang out with friends, enjoy some drinks, and maybe catch an event, it's a great option. Every time I've been here, it's been a lively and enjoyable experience.
