Cute store with cute overpriced clothing but, mainly the costumer service lacks as many have said. The return policy is absolute garbage being you can only return items with 7 days of buying under ANY circumstances even with a receipt and tags attached. Never heard of such a terrible return policy unfortunately. Anyhow I called explained my situation being sick and unable to return with the 7 days and it had been 2 weeks and asked if I could return still hoping for some understanding being only one week longer and they of course wouldn't work with me at all. Wasted money on clothes that were insanely overpriced and won't be returning not worth a crap policy and lack of working with your customers. I have been shopping here for a few years now. Today (03/6/22) I went in to exchange a dress my mom gifted to me. She purchased the dress on 02/22/22. I had no intention of getting money back, but the dress did not fit and I had no use for it. I was more than happy purchasing a different item as well as spending more. The product here is super cute, but the manager was so rude I cannot bring myself to support her business anymore. Bought $100 shoe and it was defective! Took it back 2 hours later only to have "Brenda" give only 10% off the price and tell me that we could order them but it could take "who knows" exact words! I bought 7 items from this store on the 18th. Went to return 2 items today (9 days later) and was told "unfortunately there's nothing we can do for you we have a 7 day return policy". This store is cute don't get me wrong, but that isn't enough to make me ever shop there again! We came in to purchase some nice gifts for the holidays. I came back to exchange the size for my mother and was treated like I was an alien! They looked at me like I was crazy and said "No, nope can't do it!" What does a business really lose when they do an exchange? Nothing at all, if anything they often make money as you need to spend more to make another purchase. I purchased a pair of jeans here that ended being my favorite, pretty much end up wearing them everyday and they're still holding up. Since I work across the street at the coffee shop I'm probably here to much but I keep coming back because the tops, dresses, jewelry and hats I've purchased are great quality. Adorable clothes and jewelry! Went in feeling very optimistic but left on the verge of tears, feeling defeated and fat. They seem to carry Small, Medium and Large outfits, tried the larges and inquired for the next size up and was told by the sweet gal Lauren that there were none. Lauren was super sweet and she apologized profusely for the inconvenience when she saw the tears well up in my eyes. Left pretty bummed when I realized it's just another boutique for the slim. The customer service of this store has truly gone down hill. Today I walked into the store and 2-3 employees were standing around chatting. I don't need a welcome into the store but when I asked for help finding an item I was ignored with attitude as one employee scoffed in response to my inquiry to help find the item I was looking for. Thankfully, LINDSEY a super sweet young lady was able to help me with much kindness!!! While it should NOT matter, I have spent thousands in this store and the sister store, Belle Road. This store sells damaged clothing and their store manager, Sandra, lacks customer service and basic math skills. I purchased a dress on the 16th of July, decided it was too short so I came in the next day to exchange it, July 17th. I purchased two more dresses that day. After going home and putting on one of the dresses to wear I noticed it was frayed. I had already taken the tag off as I was planning on wearing it. I went in today to return the damaged dress and exchange the other (still with tags on). Today is the 24th, which means it is the 7th day and would be my last day to return the item. Sandra insisted that today is passed the 7th day and refused to assist me in the return. She kept asking me if things made sense like I lack common knowledge yet she isn't capable of computing 24-17. Understandably, I was frustrated and said I would no longer shop there. Sandra's response was "That's fine!" I'm so disappointed in this experience as I was a loyal customer and referred many friends and family to this store. read more

I have popped in once every few months to purchase a few articles of clothing since moving to Temecula and am always pleased with the quality. I've read this stores' many negative yelp and google reviews, but have yet to experience anything like this myself. I have never been followed around through the store, only asked if I'd like a changing room if they notice me carrying a lot of clothing. I have never been treated negatively by the team, but I also don't think they're the bubbliest or most approachable. I have never had an issue with successfully returning or exchanging items, but I do always do it within 7 days - perhaps if I exceeded one week I, too, would have trouble. If the many negative reviews hold any truth, then that is disappointing. I will pay closer attention next time I am in and will certainly revise my review if I have a bad experience. I can only hope the Under the Willow team understands the importance of treating their customers with respect, and showing their appreciation for their business. Maybe "secret shopper" should send someone in on a regular basis to collect some data...sounds like this place may be in need of some fine tuning. read more

Finally Temecula has a cute clothing store in old town!! Love this place the selection is amazing!! They carry some of my favorite brands like Love Stitch. They have a lot of other stuff like jewerly, gifts, accessories etc. my only reason for giving it 4 stars vs 5 is 90% of shoes they carry I felt was like for a completely different buyer than their clothing. I also didn't like the country music they were playing the clothes aren't country so why the music?! Definitely go check this place out ASAP! read more

It takes a lot for me to do something like this, but I was so appalled by the lack of customer service that I feel I need to share. I have been shopping at Under the Willow for years now. I take visiting friends and family there all the time, and they love it there too. I have spent way more than I'm comfortable sharing at this store and expected far better service than what happened to me today. A pair of pants I recently bought from the store ripped. Not just ripped at the seams, but tore completely. They are clearly defective. This should not have happened so recently after purchasing. I have not worn them many times, they tore when I bent down to pick something up. I went to the Temecula location in Old Town where they were purchased and was treated so coldly by the manager on duty, Brenda. I didn't even want my money back. I explained to her that I wanted to support the business but wanted something I can enjoy wearing as well (I have asked several seamstresses and they all agree the pants are not salvageable). I was told because they are ripped and past their 7 day return policy there's nothing she can do. No exceptions whatsoever. I was shocked by her lack of compassion. I asked her if there was nothing she would like to do to try and retain my loyalty or make the situation better and she simply kept saying there was nothing she could do. All of this over a pair of $40 pants that a boutique that rents in Old Town Temecula is not willing to simply allow an exchange for. I am so disappointed, and will sadly not be giving my business to them anymore. I hope the business is willing to reconcile as I'd love to still support them. read more

Honestly I'll never go back here. I went last Friday after being recommended by Nectar clothing. I was looking specifically for a high-waisted skirt in a chiffon-type fabric, and they didn't have any. Like, not one. I still wanted to support the local business so I got a cute black crop-top. Because of Covid, you can't try anything on in store, so I figured no big deal of it doesn't fit I'll just bring it back. Well, of course as luck would have it, it was just way too big when I got home, so I put it right back in the bag to bring back ASAP. They also have a strict 7 day return policy, so I made sure to bring it back within that window. When I tried to process the return today, she said she couldn't because the crop top (which they were counting as a bralette) was an "accessory," and they don't do returns on accessories. In what world is either a crop top OR a bralette considered an accessory?? IT'S NOT. Super annoyed, because obviously there was just no way I could ever wear it, they offered me an exchange. But I had already bought the smallest size... so that wasn't going to work either. The manager offered an exchange for anything else they had, and I swear I was in the store for at least an hour looking around, but they didn't have very many smalls or extra smalls to choose from; literally nothing that was going to work for me. Any of the tops I actually liked did'nt come in my size. So I asked if I exchanged it for another "bralette" if I could return it if it was too big, and she said no. I've never been not able to return a bra/bralette because it didn't fit. Panties/swimwear I can see, but that was honestly ridiculous. I ended up needing to pay MORE for a a shirt I'm honestly never going to be able to wear because again, it's too big. Hopefully my roommate likes it. So much for trying to support small business. She offered to pull the tag off which was ok but i turn around and saw another jacket and ask if i could exchange for the one i buy and she told me no because the tag was pull off. Very disappointed, I really wanted to support local independent business. Signed up for rewards too! Purchased a bracelet there that broke after five days. Ran in to get a credit or exchange since I was in the shopping mood to buy some items. Manager said need a receipt no exception. I will say that Under the Willow has some really cute pieces, but that being said, ZERO customer service. I was in there looking around for about 10-15 minutes and not a single associate talked to me and it wasn't even that busy. Not a "hi welcome" or even a "are you doing alright". As someone who has worked in retail I know everyone has days where customer servicing it the last thing you want to do but all the associates looked like that was the last place they wanted to be. I stood right next to two of them while looking at jewelry and still they said absolutely nothing to me and just continued their conversation between the two of them. Well.. I purchased a bear necklace there and it snapped. Now I didnt keep the reciept because I thought I was going to be able to keep it. Went in thinking maybe I can atleast get it replaced since it was clearly the necklace and I still really loved it. Young lady (she was perfectly fine and was really great) went to get the manager for me but the manager wouldn't even come and talk to me. No return (not what I wanted) and no replacement. Insanely cute clothes! I went there on Easter and as I was checking out with the owner (I think) she was so nice and I heard her offer an employee to pick out anything she wanted from the store as a gift on her for working on Easter. It made me smile, so nice. Also the dressing rooms were open and they had a really cool system where when the dressing rooms were full they would let you keep shopping around and they come get you instead of having to stand in a line. read more
