Very disappointing. We got the meat and cheese for two for 25$. It had Colby cheddar, a huge block of cheap yellow cheddar and some pepper jack. I see goat cheese and Brie on the menu but for some reason aren't served on the cheese plate? It's almost insulting that they would put this cheese on there. I put this cheese on my burgers not as accompaniments at a WINE BAR. And for some reason the olives on the plate were served hot! Never seen that before. Warm olives are pretty terrible btw. We also got the bruschetta that tasted like pizza bread from the store with a lot of balsamic glaze. Wine was ok. Service...meh. Won't be back. read more

This place just re-opened about 3 weeks ago under new management. It still has the same cozy atmosphere as before, with jazz music playing in the background. The new staff and management are wonderful!!! Very friendly, welcoming and attentive. It's so great to have a place locally that you can grab a beer or glass of wine after work and not have to deal with the downtown scene(if that's not your thing). Definitely, will be going back soon. read more

I've been here twice both times have been nice. The ambience is wonderful. The concept of self serve wine is great. $3 wine night in Wednesdays is my fav! The food is pretty good. My favorite is the dessert. The berry pie. Flat breads and apps are delicious. read more

It's okay. It's difficult to get help or service the few times I've been. The wine dispensing machines have been broken two of the times I've visited. You can buy by the bottle or put money on a card and choose from a variety of reds and whites for wine by the glass which is dispensed from a vacuum machine. Mainly, if they could improve their service, it's a nice place to meet with friends for a glass of wine. It's always a wait to pay in order to put money on your card, or if you want to order from their light fare. There is indoor and outdoor seating. read more

I went here with my girlfriend and we enjoyed a couple of beers and a glass of wine as well as their hummas platter. The atmosphere is definitely weird, but very nice. A coffee/wine shop just seems off, buy frankly I've seen much weirder. My girlfriend enjoyed her wine and while it was most definitely a smaller glass it was perfectly acceptable. The beer was phenomenal and wasn't something I had seen before. The hummas was absolutely to die for! The regular, the sweet red pepper, and their pesto hummas were all fantastic! The pesto was definitely our favorite. I highly recommend it to anyone! read more

I had the opportunity to try out Uncorked with a Living Social deal a few weeks ago. It was pretty good. The deal included a bottle of wine, 2 flat breads, 2 salads and dessert. I must say it's a lovely space. It's in a N. Raleigh shopping center but once you're in the space it's a bit like being in a lodge - heavy wood beams, soft lighting. The host greeted us quickly and we had our choice of seats. It's a retail shop but they've done a good job with creating a dining area that doesn't feel like you're on display in a store. We were offered a choice of a red or white wine and we opted for Broke Ass Red. It was your average red - not the boldest I've ever had but definitely drinkable and non-offensive. We each ordered a flat bread and Caesar salad. The salad was just a plain old salad. There was nothing noteworthy about it. I had the Fig & Prosciutto flat bread (fig puree, prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula garnish and balsamic). My boyfriend had the Dutchman (goat cheese mousse, fig Puree, mozzarella, prosciutto, sundried tomatoes, goat cheese and arugula with drizzled honey & balsamic glaze). My flat bread was good but the fig puree overpowered every other flavor. I completely missed savory notes. Also, despite having the fig puree it was somewhat dry. The Dutchman however was fantastic. So good in fact that we'd polished it off and then I remembered I hadn't photographed it. It was sweet, savory, salty - nicely done. I would definitely order that next time. Dessert was hands down the best thing we had. It was their seasonal fruit pastry. The apples were perfectly baked. They still had solid texture but were cooked through and the dish was not overly sweet. It really rested on the apples. The pastry was flaky, buttery and really good. Served warm and with whipped cream it was a true treat. We definitely got our money's worth with the Living Social deal. I would go back but instead of dinner I'd opt for sampling some wines from their extensive collection (they have an Enomatic machine that allows you to self-serve tastes) and maybe splitting the Dutchman as a nosh while sipping. It was a good, solid meal but didn't leave me raving about it. read more

I really want to like this place. The limited food menu is good - reasonable prices and good food. Same thing for the limited beer menu. There was live music tonight (guitar player), which was excellent. Ok, my big gripe. The pours in the wine machines are ridiculously tiny. And I mean tiny. Minuscule. Especially for the price. A "taste" is barely a sip. A "half pour" is more like a taste. A "full pour" is more like a half pour. And they're not cheap. Basically, just expect a "full pour" to be 1/2 what you'd get at any other restaurant, only more expensive. Other than the wine price to pour ratio, everything else is great. read more

I love this place, I really do. It's right around the corner from my house so I go there a lot. The food is good, the wine is great, and the wine dispensing machines are the best part! Several of them have been out-of-service the last few times I've been, though. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's horrible, most of the time it's just OK. They really need to step up their game service-wise. I went in a few weeks ago to see if I could get a recommendation for a Spanish wine. Once the woman working at the register finally hung up from her personal phone call, she admitted that she really didn't know anything about wine. HUH? And you work in a wine store? Another time I went to pick up a few bottles of wine and waited for about 15 minutes at the counter. It did not appear that anyone was working in the store so I left the 2 $30 bottles of wine sitting on the counter and left. They really need to step up the service--more competition is moving in so they need to be doing better if they want to keep their loyal customers. read more

We felt a little awkward even when we were being sat at this wine bar. . . I wanted to leave badly after sitting there for about 8 minutes with no service. I guess because we had purchased a Groupon for this restaurant we also got discounted service. We were asked which type of wine we'd like, which we were eventually served but we weren't told anything about it at all, not even the name. We frequent wine bars and we are used to great, friendly, knowledgeable service which we got zero of at this place. Honestly, because we felt we weren't wanted there as customers, we left before being offered our included dessert and didn't purchase a bottle of wine from them as we had planned on. If this is the regular service they will not be in business much longer. read more

One of the worst experiences. Unbelievably poor service, staff that was there was so incredibly rude. We waited 1 hour for a charcuterie plate. Really? The cold and hateful hostess came over to say sorry and spilled ice water on my wallet, and my iPhone 6! Her response, " I hate cellphones". She took off $5. Wow. My friends and I will not be back. Every time I come here the staff is so welcoming whether it's myself and my husband or my husband, myself and 4 kids. The atmosphere is so calm the food is great for small plates and I love the charcuterie platter. Of course the wine is good! This is one of my favorites that have always and will always be my comfortable go to. Lauren and Kinsey were our staff tonight and made this an enjoyable and much needed experience. This place is pretty far away for us but we decided to try it anyways. The whole "wine dispenser" concept at the store is amazing and so much fun when you are with a group of people. They also have great appetizer/tapas style food items on the menu (which we love). Overall we loved it and they only reason we have not been back is because of the distance. read more

The perfect neighborhood wine bar! We love this spot for many reasons, but the friendly staff, great food & wonderful wine selection keep us coming back time after time. The staff is also super helpful and knowledgeable about all of the wines they carry which is a huge plus for anyone (like myself) who isn't as well versed in the different types of wine available. This was just such a treat! I came with my mom during a trip figuring out moving Durham. We had coffee, nibbles of food (free samples), wine, and desert. All was delicious! The wine dispensers were so fun and would make this place a great date location! The food was amazing! The patio was really cute! I cannot say enough good things about here... This is an amazing gem in north Raleigh! The food is delicious and I have not been disappointed ever. I have also sent friends from out of town there as well as relatives and all have loved it! The atmosphere is wonderful for a romantic evening out or perfect to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Great spot to get together with friends. The staff is always friendly and provide great service. I have really tried to like this little place. I shop in that shopping center and patron other shops there as well. Wine selection is good but customer service is lacking. I went in today with my boyfriend and sat for 10 minutes while the owner talked with wine vendors and the manager was doing the same. I was ready to spend money on the wine they were buying and they never said hello, goodbye or even seemed to care. I am in customer service and am pretty patient, but not when it comes to being ignored. read more

Very Disappointed! A corking fee for wine bought from them!!!! My wife and I had gone there about 3-4 times. Tried out their tasting machines, ordered a cheese plate, and enjoyed a bottle of wine. Last Friday when there, we blew through about $20 on the tasting machines, ordered a cheese plate for around $20, and then purchased an $18 bottle of wine. When I told him we wanted to have it there in the store, he slapped a $5 corking charge on!!!!! They had never done that before, but apparently are now! Who charges a corking fee for something you purchased from them?!?!?!? Basically he charged us $5 to just sit at their table! I will never return, and he cost himself about a $250 a month wine customer with that. read more

My fiance and I stumbled upon Uncorked randomly one night while out on the town, and we've made it a regular establishment ever since (two years later!) whenever we have guests from out of town swing by, we always make sure to bring them here. The atmosphere and decor are lovely, the wine vending machines in the walls are heavenly (this is where I want to go after I die -- seriously), the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, and it's got the best hummus I've ever had. But really -- get the hummus trio. You won't regret it. Be sure to also get a wine card, because it's such a great way to try so many different kinds of wines, and they've got a lot to choose from! From Opending night to yesterday .... I have visiting this very nice wine store. I have always enjoyed it as a Ladies night out type outing, especially with the outdoor seating. I have been here at least a dozen times with friends. Arrived last night and there were very few others there. This should have been my first clue. After loading up the Uncorked card -- it all went downhill -- including a very spolied glass of wine - that was dumped. Left the place after only one taste of wine. Very disappointing experience. We have to go back - we all have credit on our cards.... I hope it improves. read more

Very enjoyable experience! The owner's husband made it his mission to introduce us to many of their specialties by bringing us samples to taste. The wine dispensers gave us an opportunity to try new wines. Their baked Brie was a great treat and the chocolate cake and ice cream was wonderful. This is more of an experience that provided a wonderful night out. We were willing to travel out of our way to get there and it was well worth it!! We fully enjoyed their patio area and will go back again. The only other addition we would suggest is to add some live musicians even though their audio track was very pleasing. Stopped in to try Uncorked this past week. Cute atmosphere and nice concept. That said, while I do not consider myself a wine expert by any stretch, there was a distinct unpleasant odor associated with many (but not all) of the wines sampled from their dispensers. The more common varieties must turn over faster as the Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon were OK. Another disappointment was that there were no descriptions of the wines "on tap"so you were blind picking out what you might like if you were being at all adventurous. Lastly, as opposed to other venues with the self-serve dispensers that I have visited, you had to pre-pay a store card instead of simply cashing out when you were done. No big deal until you realize that after two samples of "smelly" wine, you had no recourse but to soldier on with the hopes of getting one good glass of wine with your pre-paid card instead of just cutting your losses and moving on. May try again on the off chance that is was a bad week, but not soon. read more
