This fish was some of the best I've had! So crispy! And it still tasted good the next day lawd! Lol

    The best catfish ever!!

Uncle Terry's catfish is a must. Catfish is not my choice of fish however however Uncle Terry's Catfish is now on my list of fish to eat while in LA. It's very flavorful, cooked to the right crispness and oh so tasty A must try if you're in Los Angeles. I promise you won't be disappointed!

One faux pas, which I find surprisingly common even at restaurants that highlight oysters on the menu: the server forget to bring me an oyster fork and I had to chase one down. The heirloom tomatoes salad was marvelous! Lots of fresh tomatoes bursting flavor, nicely accompanied by avocado slices that enhanced the tomatoes instead of competing with them. This puts to shame the heirloom tomato salad at San Laurel in the nearby Conrad hotel. I'm usually reluctant to order a steak at a seafood restaurant, but I have been recently disappointed several times at steakhouses and gave it a try here. The filet mignon was very good. Service was outstanding, although it faded a bit towards the end of my meal. My server--Christopher--was courteous, friendly, attentive, and mostly quick. Two different managers stopped by several times to check on me. For dessert, a scoop each of sweet cream, white chocolate chip, and peanut butter ice cream and an espresso martini. Ice creams were okay. Espresso martini was marvelous!

Bartender didn't know his wine list and was adamant that he didn't have a certain wine by the glass that was clearly on the menu (he did). These may seem like small things, but not at an upscale restaurant. Too many options to ever go back.

I ordered oysters, a lobster roll with caviar, and fries, and everything was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh and delicious. The lobster roll with caviar was definitely my favorite. Our server was also very helpful and nice. I unfortunately forgot his name, but he made sure we had everything we needed and provided great service. Overall, a wonderful experience with delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere, and friendly service. I'd definitely come back!

My friend and I, two Asian women, walked in and were told the wait would be approximately 45 minutes to an hour. That was completely fine with us, so we waited outside. While waiting, however, we watched other parties get seated while we continued to wait. I was sitting right by the entrance and personally heard the hostess tell a party of three who arrived roughly 30-40 minutes AFTER us that their wait would be around 50 minutes. Yet somehow, they were seated right away. We also saw two parties who had walked in before us, each consisting of only two guests, get seated at tables for four while we continued waiting. Eventually, we were the last party still waiting outside. When we were finally seated, we calmly mentioned what happened to a male staff member who came to our table. He was very nice, listened to us, and apologized. We appreciated how professionally he handled our concern. Apparently, he then spoke to the hostess about it. Instead of coming over to calmly explain the seating situation, the hostess came to our table visibly angry and started yelling at us, telling us that if we had something to say, we should say it directly to her. At that point, we were so uncomfortable and upset that we decided to leave, even though we had already ordered. As I was explaining to the male staff member that her behavior was incredibly rude and inappropriate, she confronted us again and told us that if we had something to say, we could "say it to her face outside." She then followed/walked us outside and continued yelling at us in front of the restaurant while other customers watched. When we questioned why the party of three who arrived after us had been seated first, she said it was because there were three of them and only two of us, so we had to wait for a table on the two-seater side. I then pointed out a four-person table that currently had only two guests sitting at it. Her explanation then changed, and she said those guests had reservations. However, we had also seen two parties who arrived before us, each with only two guests, seated at four-person tables. Whatever the explanation for the seating order may have been, there was absolutely NO justification for a hostess to come to our table yelling, confront us for privately expressing a concern to another employee, challenge us to "say it to her face outside," and then continue yelling at us in front of the restaurant. As two Asian women, after watching people who arrived after us get seated first, seeing other two-person parties seated at tables for four, and then being treated with this level of hostility when we questioned it, we genuinely felt that we were being discriminated against. Whether that was her intention or not, that is how her behavior made us feel. We came to this restaurant to have a meal, not to be screamed at and publicly confronted by an employee because we raised a concern about how we were being treated. The male staff member who initially helped us was kind, professional, and apologetic, and I appreciate him. Unfortunately, the hostess's behavior completely ruined the experience. We left without eating because we no longer felt comfortable staying. Management should seriously address this. No customer should be treated this way.

It's been a bit over 3 years... and I'm still obsessed with this place! It's been a while since…read morewe've dined here (we actually visited last June for our anniversary dinner lol). Honestly, I need to come here more than once a year. Every time we've visited, the food has always hit. I always leave the restaurant stuffed and satisfied. We had a great time at our most recent dinner. We celebrated our friend's birthday and they made our dinner really special for us. They gave the birthday boy a bedazzled crab house t-shirt, gave us 2 plates of braised salmon on the house and even an extra uni small sized uni bowl. As you can see in my pictures, our table was FULL of food. Service has actually gotten much better than our past few visits. No more pesky, valet guys and they have plenty of parking. I've been tempted to try the other raw marinated crab restaurants but we honestly love this place. Thank you for a great time crab house!

Overall (8.5/10) Pretty good spot for marinated raw crab…read more The crab was fresh and not fishy at all, the workers were phenomenally nice, and the overall experience was really enjoyable. First Impressions (8/10) Very cozy and authentic Korean restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. It was surprisingly not very busy when we went, which made the experience even better. What We Got (8/10) * Soy marinated crab: Very fresh and melts right onto the rice. The sauce is on the sweeter side, almost like a Coca Cola flavor. * Spicy marinated crab: Good flavor but only has a very mild amount of spice. * Panchan: Really good fermented kimchi, rice cake, japchae, and sesame dressed coleslaw. * Each crab dish came with rice and they also serve tea for free. We even got a slice of salmon, which definitely hit the craving. Taste and Quality (7.5/10) The crab was the highlight. No fishy taste and the texture was really soft and rich over the rice. The soy sauce was a little sweeter than I expected, while the spicy sauce could use more heat. Service (10/10) The workers were phenomenally nice and very welcoming. Easily one of the best parts of the experience. Space and Atmosphere (9/10) Really cozy and authentic feeling. The music was mostly BTS, with some BLACKPINK mixed in, which fit the vibe. Apparently Lisa has also visited here. Was It Worth It (7/10) Pretty good for the price, especially with the rice, panchan, tea, and extra salmon. There were also a lot of crab pieces, so you definitely get a decent amount. Final Thoughts A solid spot if you are craving Korean marinated crab. I would come back, especially for the spicy crab and the really nice service.
