Ginger chicken - delicious, flavorful, tender just beware of the large ginger pieces disguised as chicken Orange Chicken - very good sauce, very thickly breaded Shanghai soup dumpling - delicious could eat 100 of these Spicy chili wonton - a full meal portion. Wontons in a spicy chili sauce with veggies. One of our favorites. Beef lo mein - beef has good flavor, noodles could use a bit more something. A bit basic. Shrimp fried rice - very basic Wor wonton - I really like their wontons. The broth is good too not overpowering. Chicken moo goo gai pan - no flavor in the white sauce don't order Garlic chicken - essentially the moo goo gai pan with garlic. Not flavorful Overall they are a decent Chinese takeout place but not everything is a wow. Gotta kinda try things to see what you like. Went and grabbed late lunch to go. It's a small clean restaurant in a shopping plaza. It's pretty convenient and lots of parking. To be fair I went late afternoon maybe 2-3pm so there was no other customers. The food tasted okay nothing special. I really wanted hot and sour soup. It had a fair amount of meat and vegetables. This has been here for many years and my go to for Chinese in Scottsdale. As it's name implies, it is quick. Small, unassuming, great food. I usually get the lunch special. Which comes with fried rice, 1 won ton filled with cream cheese & 1 deep fried roll (vegetable only). My favorite was the crispy won ton filled with pork which not alot of restaurants offer this (please consider putting back on the menu). Doesn't take much for it to get busy. I stopped in for takeout lunch while I was running errands. I was greeted right away. I ordered the orange beef and some cream cheese wontons. I thinks it's a little overpriced, I paid $24 without the tip. The food was made fresh from what I can tell. The beef was lightly floured and was very good. I didn't taste the orange flavor that I'm used to for orange beef but it was not too sweet and was surprisingly very good. The cream cheese wontons were fried perfectly and were of decent size. We substituted the Steamed White Rice in our Sweet & Sour Chicken meal, for vegetable fried rice, with an upcharge,.. and ordered a small side of the Steamed White Rice. The best part of the meal was the wonton chips, everything else unfortunately got tossed. No rice was included in my meal, I had to make some to go along with my chicken at home. I worked in a restaurant that served yellow curry chicken and while I realized different cultures have different flavors, this has nothing in common with yellow curry chicken that I've seen. The sauce is dark green and straight liquid, no thickness at all. It's all green pepper flavor and nothing else. That's the only thing I can taste. I'm really bummed. This was nearly $50 after delivery and I don't drive currently. I just wanted something delicious. I'm just going to add siracha to it and mix the rice in to minimize the green pepper flavor. I never thought I would so desperately regret not checking "no green peppers" because I had no idea it would be the only ingredient besides chicken and broccoli with no other flavor to compete with the green peppers. I guess without them, I would have flavorless chicken and broccoli? Maybe thats worse? I cant decide. I will never order here again between the mess of the bag arriving, the price of at best mediocre food, and the amount of green peppers and the weird liquid sauce. I'm just sad. Oh well. read more

I got the beef lo mein, and it was good, usually people don't complain about a lot of of beef, and it's not that I didn't like it, but I definitely would have preferred more noodle as well. Good food and perfect location for the hole in the wall Chinese food in our neighborhood. We walked to grab the food after ordering. Ordering was easy online and you can customize what you want or make upgrades, just be aware that it's pricey! Definitely way more expensive than Panda Express but pretty good. Portions are decent, but served in plastic containers. Everything was eaten. The price was a shock at like $70 for 3 entrees and cheese rangoons (only 1 entree came with a side of rice?!) so definitely not inexpensive. Probably would consider ordering lunch there next time and eating the leftovers for dinner. read more

The lady behind the counter chose to undestand English when she wanted. The Chicken curry had absolute no taste. I asked for a spicy Mongolian beef, which did not com spicy. I asked for a spicy sauce on the side and the lady gave me one. Because the curry chicken had no taste, I asked for another side of hot sauce, which the lady behind the counter told me they did not have that much because someone did not make more. But make dining-in your last option....if you just have to get out of the house, you are surrounded by great parks all over McCormick Ranch! This spot has been a family go-to for years. Sure, if I want regional Chinese cooking, I hit Mesa & Chandler. Shaanxi Garden, Heng's, Chou's, Szechwan Noodle, Old Town Taste, all deliver amazing regional food, but my parents aren't as thrilled with Pig's Ear in Chili oil, Szechwan Peppers that pop in my mouth, or beautifully prepared Tripe as I am. So when we want that Americanized Chinese experience that we grew up with, this is the spot to get it to go. I'm sorry Ling & Louie's, George & Son's, Flo's, Totties etc...when I want food to go, I like this more. If it's fried, it's crisp not soggy. I love the Spicy Orange Tofu, the Special Spicy Eggplant, the fried rice, noodles, almost any beef dish, the vegetables, and the new dumpling and Bao choices. Pork egg rolls consisted entirely of soggy cabbage and regret. Sesame chicken was void of any sesame, or flavor. Essentially deep fried chicken pieces. Friday around 11-12, not too crowded, clean tables and really nice staff. The space isn't huge but that's what I liked about it. They were attentive and provided refills and checked on our table. Solid lunch deals. Each of their lunch specials come with fried rice, an egg roll, crab puff and egg drop soup. I went for the sesame chicken and we also had beef and broccoli at my table. The soup was good and definitely better than most egg drop soups I've had at other places. The egg roll and crab puff were hot and crispy, and the fried rice was decent. Sesame chicken came out hot and with lots of sauce, it was tasty. The beef and broccoli were also okay. Overall I think it's a great deal for the price.
