After 10 years of driving by this cute store, my family and I decided to stop in and pick up dinner. We were pleasantly surprised with the abundance of flavors to select from. They have pasties available ready to eat, chilled, and frozen. They also have a wide selection of soups and ready to heat dinners (stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage, Shepard's pie). We ended up selecting the chilled options of Spinach and Feta, Pepper-jack Beef, Elk, and Chicken with Coleslaw. We heated the oven at 350 and baked them for 30 minutes. They were 100% up north quality! Each contained a hearty amount of filling. Our favorites were the pepper jack beef and spinach and feta. The coleslaw was also delicious!

Pronounced: pass-tea . This dough filled concuntion is a delicacy of Finnish origin and thankfully made its way to US :) if you are in the Clarkston area Uncle Peter is a MUST have! Besides the fact they are delicous, home made, gourmet, full of flavor and real food, Uncle Peter is the man to meet. His warmth and genrousity only fuel your drive to return and then you taste how AMAZING they are and realize you were coming back regardless! Oh don't forget the extreme cookies...dont.. trust me :)

Elk Pastie. So delicious!

I'll make it short. Fantastic people, excellent pasties and wonderful selection. We got the Elk, lamb and extra beef. All I have to say is look at the photo and see how fully loaded these things are.

These are fabulous, Friday only

We love Uncle Peter's Pasties! We buy them in Lansing at Horrocks. They are the best pasties in the lower peninsula!

Hands-down I've never found any pastie that is this delicious outside of the upper Peninsula.

We first came here after a tip from my dentist. Glorious stories of buying a lb of pastrami and it being so good and hot that they ate it all in the parking lot. Another case of oversized matzoh balls and a tasty broth. They have exceptional meats and a terrific cole slaw. Portions are usually on the large side. However, today's sandwich was a bit skimpy, by comparison. This is also dessert central. Plenty of danish, cookies and 7-layer cake. Prices are actually reasonable for the product received. 10/25

Much better than the more "popular"spots down Orchard Lake, and on Telegraph. I think I heard that they brine their own corned beef. Regardless, they have some of the best corned beef I have ever tasted! Their sandwiches are very generous, but not overwhelming like so many other places. Their pastrami is also fabulous! I am not even a fan of matzoh ball soup but I love theirs! I often make it a point to stop by even when I need to go out of my way. Fantastic!

Nice Deli style restaurant located on Orchard lake Rd in Keego Harbor. I used to come to this…read morerestaurant way back when, when there were a lot less choices for where to eat in West Bloomfield at that time. Back then, Tony's then known as Daves Deli/Embers did a pretty good job for breakfast and I was pleased to see that they still do after all these years. For my return meal here I ended up getting the Two Egg Grandslam for $9.99 that had Two eggs cooked to order, hash browns, toast and meat of choice. The eggs were well cooked, with four pieces of meat, a very generous portion of hash browns and a rye toast that is just simply the best in the area where it is the same as I remember from 30 years ago. Relative to staff and facility, it is definately not a newer contemporary facility that many of the restaurants are in the area but is a tad more dated/rustic. Having said that it is defiantely clean and being well maintained where I was totally fine with the environment. Relative to staff, it felt like being at home as you could clearly hear the staff talking/arguing in the background (in a friendly way) where you normally do not hear that in most restaurants in the area. My only gripe, which is fairly significant for me, was after giving me my first cup of coffee they never returned to top it off or refill it during my breakfast which is a big no no for me and really a deal breaker. Not sure if this is the norm but if this were to happen again I probably would not return. For the purposes of this review I did not ding them on this but if it were to happen again I would not return. Overall good food at very reasonable prices is hard to beat and assuming my refill issue was a one off I would definately return in the future.

Alex's Market & Grill in White Lake is one of those places that looks like it should be great--but…read morenever quite delivers on that promise. It's a unique setup as a gas station, market, deli, and bistro all in one, and they definitely offer a ton of options. The selection is honestly one of their biggest strengths--whether it's groceries, prepared foods, or drinks, there's a lot to choose from. That said, the prices are noticeably high across the board, especially for gas and everyday grocery items. The food-to-go section is where things start to fall off. It always looks solid in the case, but somehow never tastes as good as it should. It's not terrible--it's just consistently underwhelming. The bistro itself is decent, but nothing special. If you've had Middle Eastern-style grill spots before, you've had this. Plenty of lamb and shawarma options, but nothing that really stands out. The one exception: the Thai peanut chicken wings and the shoestring fries are actually really good and worth ordering. They also advertise a huge beer selection--something like 100 options--but in reality, the taps are rarely all running, which takes away from what could be a big highlight. One thing that stood out on my last visit was how strong the smell of cleaner was inside. It was almost overpowering and made it tough to sit and enjoy a meal. On the flip side, it was definitely clean--maybe just a little too clean in that moment. Overall, Alex's Market & Grill has a lot of potential with its variety and concept, but it ends up being more average than it looks at first glance. Good in a pinch, but not somewhere you go out of your way for.

We went upstairs to eat around 1 PM on a Thursday, so it wasn't particularly busy. Unfortunately, they had already "run out" of a few key items, including the Dubai Espresso Martini and bone-in wings. That was confusing, especially considering there's a grocery store downstairs--it didn't quite add up and was disappointing. The service itself was great. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but she didn't seem very familiar with the menu and couldn't offer recommendations, which would have helped since it was our first time. As for the food: the boom boom shrimp and lamb sliders were both good and definitely the highlights. However, the fish tacos were extremely salty--so much so that I couldn't finish them. Overall, the vibe is cool and I'd consider coming back for drinks, but based on this experience, I don't think I'd return for the food. We do appreciate the free dessert, I'm just still hungry

Our bartender Angela was very helpful in assisting us with choosing food and drinks. She was very honest which was extremely refreshing. We had the painkiller and payback drinks which were both very tasty and also packs a punch, just how we like it. Don't worry they weren't too strong to not be able to walk out the bar safely My husband absolutely loves their fried pickles and it's an always must have when we visit. They're lightly breaded with a side sauce that's slightly sweet and tangy to create a balance of flavors We shared the Chick n pick platter as my husband and I aren't huge beef eaters. We got the pulled chicken which was surprisingly well seasoned. We ordered dark meat that was smoked but to be honest looked a bit raw and we had to send it back for more pulled chicken. I trust that it was well cooked but we've had food poisoning from previous restaurants in the past so this made us a bit hesitant to eat it when there's signs of pink and some blood by the bone. The andouille sausage was extremely flavorful and brought us right back to Nola Overall great experience and we would return
