When we asked for the check, she showed me the price on a handheld calculator, it read $52. I'm not sure where the extra $10 came from. If it was taxes, it should've been an extra $4-5 only. Then when we paid by credit card, they tacked on an extra $2 fee and swiped $54. So everyone just double-check your check to make sure you're getting charged whatever you're supposed to be charged. Manti- it was ok. The skin was kinda hard and dried up even though I ate it hot Kuksu- it was refreshing. Soup was a bit more sour than another place I go to. Uzbek plov- a bit on the small side but it was ok. Rice had flavor and was moist but it came with 3 pieces of meat and they were on the dry side. Begodya- it was ok. Like a Chinese mantou but with meat. It came with a flavorful red sauce on the side that was a bit spicy. Overall, food wasn't bad but I don't know why I was charged more than what the menu stated which is why I dropped a star.

It was kind of giving Hong Kong fast food/cafeteria type of vibes. It wasn't too busy when I went on a weekend for lunch. I love that you get a complimentary side dish with the order, and I went for cucumber salad, but it was served chilled. The salad contained wood ear mushrooms, which are known to release toxins if kept overnight, so I hope it was made the day of and not old! I really liked the udon beef stir fry. It was pretty big for just $13.95, and the udon had a good texture (not too mushy) while the beef tasted fresh. For the sauerkraut fish, you can choose between small and large. I got the small but felt that it was still a lot, so the portions are really generous. You can also choose between three different types of fish: basa, snakehead, and grass carp. The staff said snakehead is the most popular so we just went with that. It was filet (aka deboned) and tender when it arrived. But I think I'm not a big fan of the sauerkraut flavor. Also, it was crazy mala even with just one pepper sign. I'd go back to try the tomato sauerkraut version. I actually liked another fish dish more: garlic grilled fish. It also had a bit of broth that was very tasty. I would get this one again. Ended the meal with complimentary grass jelly!

We knew the large would be big, but it was still more food than we expected once it came to the table. Definitely not something I'd order alone. The broth was sour first, then the spice started building in an amazing way after a few bites. It wasn't painfully spicy or anything, but there was enough chili oil to make us slow down a little. The basa was very soft and picked up a lot of the broth, which I liked. Some pieces had been sitting near the bottom longer and tasted even better. The restaurant is pretty casual. Our food came out quickly. I'd order the same flavor again, but next time I'd either bring more people or get a smaller portion because the large was honestly a lot for two.

I would recommend the fishballs and fish soup. The noodles were a bit overcooked and nothing special. The dumplings were average and had a strong gingery taste. I would return to this place to try some other items. Service: Service was excellent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. She was attentive and gave us recommendations on what to order since it was our first time there. Ambiance: This is a hole-in-the-wall place so the ambiance isn't the best. The staff are sitting in the dining area making dumplings and preparing the food. The place isn't the nicest but gives it a homey feel. There are a few small tables in the place, but 1-2 tables are taken up by the staff. I wouldn't come here with a large group. Overall, I would recommend this place!

It's interesting to me that their menu is from Lan Zhou (hand-pulled noodles) as well as Fu Zhou (dumplings and peanut noodles). The peanut noodles were interesting, and they didn't use the normal wide wheat noodles. The peanut sauce was thick and a bit too salty too. The fish ball noodles were pretty tasty, as the fish balls were bouncy and chewy and the soup had a lot of flavor. The noodles themselves weren't very special though. I also liked that they put spinach in the soup. At $8 post-tax, this was definitely a filling meal, but I've had better noodles around the area.

I liked the pork feet. Flavorwise, the food I had was different from what I'm used to. This place serves mainly large casseroles, so you have to share whatever you're ordering. They have huge fish casseroles or huge seafood casserole. If you want individual ones, there's the beef casserole. Roasted Pork feet- if u come, u should definitely try this. A lot of flavor. It's probably the best thing I ate all night. Maybe because they recently opened, they served us complimentary spicy seaweed and pickled chicken feet appetizers. They were delicious. Beef casserole-flavor is ok. Not really spicy enough. Wanzhou spicy grilled fish casserole-this is a huge fish. Flavor was different from what I'm used to. It's ok. I'm not in love with it, nor did I hate it. It wasn't spicy enough. The fish didn't really soak up the flavors well. U really have to dip your fish into the soup before u eat it. Happy family casserole-this casserole basically has everything in it. Crabs, frog legs, shrimp, melons, new year cake etc. For this casserole, we asked for mild spice. Just like the other caseroles, flavor of the soup was just ok. The rice cakes and melons that were in the soup absorbed a lot of flavor and they were delicious. Otherwise, everything else in there was just ok. They also have some numbing spice (round brown pellets) in the casseroles which is annoying if u bite into it. I feel like if the food actually absorbed the soup base, then food would probably taste better. But for the most part, it was just ok. Pineapple charpati-sweet and good. Green onion charpati- it's ok. The menu is horribly written with English spelling mistakes all over the place...makes for a good passing game to find the mistakes.

Not much has changed, which is a VERY good thing. + Dim sum is as good as it gets here. You can't go wrong with any of their rice rolls, pork and shrimp dumplings, shrimp dumplings, chive dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leaf, chicken feet, spring rolls, etc. It's ALL good!!!! + The BBQ meats are also as good as they ever have been as well - roast pork, roast pig and roast duck are all super fresh if you get here early enough to buy them. Just ask for the fattier meats and you're golden. + STILL the best pan fried noodles you will get ANYWHERE. Always super fresh, piping hot, crunchiest noodles ever, plenty of supporting ingredients. Go for the shredded chicken pan fried noodle, you won't regret it. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Prices have definitely gone up a bit over the years, but it's common everywhere. They are pretty much on par with other Chinese restaurants in the area. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Unfortunately, they no longer have dim sum carts going around on weekends during dim sum hours. Like many restaurants, they have converted to having customers order on paper by ticking off what they want to order :( Sadly, the days of the dim sum cart are slowly dying and it got Wing Hing too.
