Chicken Fajita Quesadilla (Warm close to COLD)
Shanique K.

My food came out warm and I don't know how the cheese even melted, wondering if it was sitting around and they decided to serve it to me, sauce was sitting out in a tub uncovered, the black beans was very delicious!

The gentleman working, who was able to bring his son was a well-rounded bartender who had a presence that spoke with itself, professional, and prompts, and was taking tables on the floor around the bar top that was pretty full during happy hour and very hospitable.

For our appetizer, we started out with Delicious guacamole, made in house with mashed Hass Avacados, chopped; onions, jalapeño, cilantro and tomatoes. We ordered the large, however, it looked like one small scoop served with fried corn tortilla chips. I also started out with Modelo beers with lime and salt. My friend and I both ordered the Cheese & Onion Enchiladas. I requested cilantro rice and refried beans for my sides. The food was good. The service was horrible. My bear was 2/3 full. I asked where the rest was. He just walked away. Our whole dining experience was terrible thanks to the rude waiter. Food 4 stars - service 0.

The food and service was awesome! We went to celebrate me getting a new vehicle & the waiter was so sweet & kind. The facility was clean and inviting. The fish tacos absolutely my fav I've ever tasted!! Definitely going back!

The food was good but not the Uncle Julio's I remember. The service was good, not great. We had an order delay and then weren't offered a discount for my wife to wait 15 minutes for her order.

Visited this evening on a work trip. The salsa is top notch and the rest of the food was wonderful. I had the chicken and skirt steak fajitas. The atmosphere is awesome with several games on the TV!!! The service was a little slower than anticipated but they leave water at the tables for you to personally fill so it's reasonable. Thanks for a good experience.

We went in maybe 2.5hrs before close and they weren't too busy. We had a decent sized party of 7. Our waitress was very nice and attentive the entire time. She made sure we had drinks, chips and salsa on the table at all times. The food tasted more tex-mex than authentic but it was overall good. I guess they do a margarita a day or week and we ordered those which was a mixed berry margarita.

This was my first time here came on a Saturday around 4:30 we were seated quickly I got the chicken tortilla soup which was really yummy and the crab and lost her flour tortilla enchiladas they also have the option for corn with a sides of pinto beans and fruit (strawberries, pineapples and grapes). The enchiladas were sooo good. I wish the beans came with no pork though. Maria was our waitress she was nice and answered all questions . Around 5:20 it started to get really busy but the noise level was average. They also have an happy hour M-F 3-6 pm.

Churros but not the best

This review is hard because the first Uncle Julio's I went to was in Chicago. I've been to the ones in Dallas and Naperville as well. This was our third time at this location in OKC. As a chain, the tortillas and chips are chef's kiss. I'd come here just for that. I enjoy the salsas, traditional and the mesquite one. But the meat quality is just ok. The chicken in ALL locations now are off - not juicy and buttery like it used to be years ago. The steak is better here, but still dry. We got churros to go. The sugar topping was nonexistent. It looked like someone's first attempt at making churros - like we got the reject ones! They used to be little bite sized pieces - they should probably go back to that. Service was friendly, though our meal did take awhile to get to us. It was pretty packed on a Friday night. Ambience is always nice. It's a fun spot for a drink or to watch a game. Maybe I should try ordering something vegetarian next time, I don't know anymore!

Way overrated! Salsa is disgusting. Fajitas were very tough. Probably pass on going back.

My wife suggested Jimador Mexican Restaurant, and since we had enjoyed it once before--especially the guacamole--we were happy to return. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful, and the guacamole was every bit as good as we remembered. If you visit, I'd definitely recommend starting there. For our entrées, I ordered the lunch fajitas while my wife chose the taco salad. Unfortunately, neither dish was particularly memorable. My wife felt her taco salad lacked flavor and could have used more lettuce and cheese. I tried a bite myself, and I'd have to agree--it just didn't stand out. The lunch fajitas were decent, but they weren't what I expected. They contained much more tomato than traditional fajitas, which changed the overall flavor profile. On the positive side, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly. The atmosphere was also quiet and relaxing, making it an easy place to enjoy lunch. Overall, Jimador delivered on service, chips, salsa, and guacamole, but the entrées missed the mark this time. I'd return again, but next visit I'll definitely order something different.

Ted Lasso. Ted(dy) Roosevelt, Ted Williams. All great men with the name Ted. However, I'd consider…read morethe founder of this restaurant THE TED that stands above them all. Here is why: he somehow cracked the code to the perfect restaurant. The Tex-Mex fuse together in perfect harmony. I mean just like Edison discovered electricity (even though he robbed Mr. Tesla). And the Wright bro's learned how to fly. Ted's created a earth shattering and mind blowing menu. If you are more of a bland paletted person, it'd highly recommend the steak quesadilla or the carne asada fries. The cheese. OH THE CHEESE! When I grew up on my birthday my family would surprise me with silly string and I would be wrapped in a stringy web. That's how fresh and stringy the cheese is. Not of the hard, cold, rock like cheese. Now, if you have a little bit more of a diverse pallet I recommend the fish tacos or taco bowl. They feel SO FRESH. If you've ever run a long distance or worked outside on a hot summer day and then had an ice cold lemonade or jumped into a chill pool. The utter refreshment that washes over you. That's how the food makes me feel! Now, not only is the food out of the world. (Shout out space jam) the service I would probably ranked neck and neck with Disney Land. This place should write a book on hospitality the rest of this industry could benefit from.
