Very decent food. I really like the skirt steak bowl. This place is always packed on the weekends. Try to get a seat with a view of the beautiful lake. read more

Great food and great service. We had a big group and they did a great job accommodating us.

Really good Mexican food. Great atmosphere & Really good service. I will definitely be returning.

Delicious!!!! Great atmosphere and food! Get the chocolate Piñata if it's a special occasion!

Overall experience wasn't worth the $52+ check for two people during lunch time. I ordered the chicken taco salad and the presentation was interesting, it was on its side like a cornucopia, but I think the fancy arrangement and too much of lettuce was to make up for its lack of flavor and small amount of the rest of ingredients. The waiter took a while to get us the check. The bathroom toilet didn't flush very well and the paper towel machines weren't working, the two boxes I assume were for paper napkins were empty, and they just had a paper towel roll on the side. read more

The food was quite good! I was expecting the same 'ol overpriced text-mex, and boy - was I surprised! The salsa was unique... roasted veggies, perhaps. The table-side guacamole was spot on! I ordered a simple tamale/Enchilada combo plate and wow!!! The flavor of the beef enchilada is what really caught my attention! I didn't even order the steak... but I'm sure that would've been stellar as well! Overall, we were very pleased! Oh, and great service too! read more

Great food and great service. I am vegan, and there were options for me. The guacamole was made fresh in front of you. Everything was fresh and the place was clean. read more

Fajitas ordered for delivery came without sour cream, guacamole, pico de Gallo or cheese. Had to go pickup the fajita setup. Will not be ordering from Uncle Julio's in the future. read more

If your getting Fajitas the ONLY ones I recommend getting are the Guadalajara (3 delicious bacon wrapped shrimp, chicken & yummy steak) DO NOT get the filet minõn (tough & spicy) not worth it at all. If your planning on getting the chocolate piñata go ahead and spend that extra $5 and get the one that has the chocolate empanadas! So good! & take that extra chocolate home to make some chunky chocolate chip homemade cookies:) Be sure and sign up for their rewards through their app to receive their table side guacamole! You will not regret it! Your welcome! read more

Food is odd. The taste is not really authentic or TexMex. Mexican food should taste like Mexican food. Who has bbq salsa?

I usually can eat anything, I ordered the cheese enchiladas with chili sauce. These were the most horrendously disgusting enchiladas I've ever had. I would not recommend them to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I would eat Taco Bell before I eat here again. It's about time for uncle Julio to retire! read more

Stopped into Uncle Julio's for a birthday lunch. This was my first time at this location, but I enjoy Uncle Julio's anywhere, anytime - best fajitas around! The Chocolate Piñata is pretty expensive but for the experience and all of the desserts inside it is worth it. Our large table couldn't even finish it off. read more

Food was barely warm today. Sent it back and it came back warm, not hot. Hard to understand why a Mexican food place would serve food in such a fashion. Disappointed. read more

Uncle Julio's may just be my new Favorite Mexican go to! I literally cannot wait to go back! Our experience was fantastic! We got there on a Saturday and the place was packed! But yet they still had a booth for us with only a 10 minute wait! I really enjoyed the restaurant itself, it's much bigger in the inside and at first it seems loud but once we were seated we did not have any trouble hearing each other or carrying a conversation. We kicked our meal off with the wonderful fresh chips/salsa they brought out and we ordered the guacamole. For the guac they make it right at your table! That is always a great touch! And let me tell you, this lady making our guacamole must be a magician because that guacamole was phenomenal, it lasted about 2 minutes at our table and we had to talk ourselves out of more! For my main meal I had the Guadalajara fajitas. While this was a ridiculous amount of food for one person, I'm so glad I chose it! It allowed me to try 3 different types of fajitas! It included the Steak, Chicken, & Shrimp. And I have to say I was pleasantly surprised...all were amazing! The shrimp was not just shrimp, it was mesquite grilled Jumbo shrimp....stuffed with Monterey Jack and fresh Jalapeños....& Wrapped in Bacon! For the shrimp, don't forget to use that delicious Mexican butter that comes on the plate! It really take it to a new level! After stuffing our faces with amazing food, we were suggested what they called a Chocolate Piñata...we were way too full that day to test that out, but we will definitely back for it!!! read more

I have been a huge fan of Uncle Julio's going back to the beginnings in Dallas, and was thrilled when the OKC location opened. Over the years I've dined there on a regular basis, hosted company parties there, been a very loyal customer. The last few visits, it hardly seems to be the same restaurant. The food, the presentation, and service have changed drastically, and not for the better. I had hoped it was an off night or two, but each visit has progressively gotten worse to the point that I no longer look forward to dining there again and that makes me sad. Why did they ruin a good thing? read more

Click the link below for my most current review on Uncle Julio's. Nothing has changed. Management responds with apologies to negative reviews, but in 6 months, nothing has even slightly shifted in a positive direction. Perhaps it even got a little worse. https://okcbrunchclub.wixsite.com/brunchclub/single-post/2019/01/26/Uncle-Julios 6 months ago... Ugh. I wanted to like Uncle Julio's, but Ted's wins again. Why make a reservation if you have to wait 20+ minutes for your table? Why have a server if you can't even get your water refilled? The margaritas were tasty, but the price was yuck. The food tasted like something a school cafeteria prepares (no offense, public schools). On the way out we all nearly slipped and fell because of something applied on the floor. This area is spectacular and I hope in a few months I'll be willing to put this experience aside and try again. read more

The food itself deserves 4 stars. The tortillas were really good along with the queso and ceviche. The sweet tea was super delicious as well. We had their fajitas and they were okay. Our servers name was Alex, I'm guessing it's her first serving job. We were never asked what we wanted to drink and had to ask multiple times for different requests. The managers that came by were really nice though. We had the caramel ice cream for dessert, I wouldn't chose that again. Overall it was an okay experience, the servers are in training and need to learn the basics still. They did do an excellent job of keeping our drinks filled and chips on the table. We will probably not return here again based on the food service and high prices. The atmosphere is great and it would be a nice place for a bachelorette or rehearsal dinner. read more

Uncle Julio's : where Edmond suburbanites meet up with twelve of their closest friends to drink margaritas, cackle like a flock of hens, and live their Real Housewife fantasies. Just because it's Tiffy's 15th anniversary of her 29th birthday doesn't mean you get to scream like you're at a Nelly concert. It's a restaurant. That's the downside. The upside is their fajitas and salsa are amazing. read more

Omg Uncle Julio's was AMAZING!! I came here one afternoon with daughter and husband and I'm not lying when I say we came back that weekend with the whole family!! It was so good ,both visits our waiters were amazing !! I really enjoyed the Queso Blanco its so good the chips are so fresh !! The flour tortillas are to die for so so delicious!! They had this garlic butter that is so good. My son had it on his plate with his shrimp and I nearly passed out it was to die for !! My husband asked for more and dipped his tortilla in it ! Haha I got the Fajita Skirt Steak and highly recommend! It really is good The shrimp plate I mentioned was called the Jalisco and that shrimp was amazing with that butter. Everything was amazing ! From hostess to waiter to the boy who delivered food !! Waters were always full ! Waiter sparked up a great conversation! Then we decided to do the unthinkable and order the Chocolate Piñata that thing was HUGE ! And very good from the fruit to all the other yummy surprises and kids couldn't stop talking about how good the whipped cream was. We had a great dinner with great food and great company! Thank You Uncle Julio's!! read more

I found myself here twice this summer after not visiting yet since they opened. I'd heard mixed reviews along with the "overpriced Mexican food" claims. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my meals on both visits and the service was pretty good as well. I'm usually a fish taco person and theirs did not disappoint. The enchiladas were good too. It's also a huge restaurant, so they can accommodate large groups if needed. Being a chain they have the tableside checkout system which I'm still getting accustomed to. I also don't frequent Chisholm Creek and don't anticipate being here much in the future, but it served its purpose when convenient. read more

This was my second time going to the restaurant and it still disappointed me. The wait time is ridiculous and there is zero communication between the server and the table. I'm not sure if the server forgot about us or forgot to put in our order but over an hour for food when half of it is kids meals is ridiculous. Then to say there are large orders inside and the manager is helping with our order. Okay but did we ever see the manager? Nope. Once we finally got our food it was cold. So was it worth it? No. If you want to not have a 3 star review on your business I'd start with whatever manager and server were working the patio on 6/7 because they were not it. read more

Great Tex-Mex fare. Very tasty queso blanco with very thin and crispy chips. Substituted for the habanero kicked up salsa, mmmmm. Just got the basic one ground beef and one cheese enchilada. Do the basics well and the rest will follow. I was very satisfied and very full. Queso is not free nor is it cheap but it is very good. read more

This is our second visit. The food is good but service simply doesn't make up for it. What was wrong? 1) We were out of chips and sangria most of our meal. 2) I ordered my enchiladas without onions or lettuce; the waiter tells me they don't come with lettuce but I tell him I don't even want them garnished with it like is often done so I order it that way. They came covered in onions. When we told the waiter, his initial response was "no it's not" but upon closer inspection he conceded that it was and he took it back saying that he put it in right. Regardless, terrible response to a customer whose food came out wrong. 3) My soup came out after the meal as did my daughters taco salad because there was some confusion about how he put it in and it got split into two orders. When soup was delivered there was no spoon so the guy that delivered it went to get one; he never returned so I used the spoon from our queso to eat with. 4) The manager came over and asked how everything was and my husband pointed out that we were still out of chips despite asking several times, had no spoon for soup, hadn't gotten refills on drinks and I didn't have my food yet because it was wrong. He said he would take care off our queso and my meal entirely. Of course we appreciated that and, had it actually have been followed through on, I would have chalked it up to being new and give them another shot. 5) The check came and nothing had been taken off at all. $84 before tax and not including drinks ordered outside while we waited for three of us. We didn't make a big deal because at this point it just seemed par for the course. read more

Horrible horrible horrible service for someone who is Celiac and needs to eat gf. Most big chains are now offering gf options for people. Not here. They act like they don't even know what it is. We won't be back until they get some gf options and educate their staff on what it means to be Celiac. Get a dedicated fryer for the chips so it's not fried with anything with flour please. That would help. Get with the times. It's a common disease now. Before I knew I had Celiac Disease we ate here a lot and it was ok. But now that I know I have this issue...I can't enjoy this anymore. But there are lots of other restaurants that have options. So we'll be giving them our $$$. read more

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Decor & Style: 4/5 I ordered the Slow Smoked Pork Ribs (Smoked with a sweet and savory dry rub. Served with homemade guacamole, pico de gallo, Mexican rice and frijoles a la charra) and it was slightly on the sweet side therefore I didn't think it was good, but nor bad since I finished the entire plate. I will come back and try other items as I hear the rest of the menu tastes great. Ambience was good and I like the Mexican American vibe. Service was slightly slow that evening but not horrible. read more

This is really 3.5 stars. The food is good, but not exceptional. The atmosphere is nice, upscale for Tex-Mex, but the price is out of proportion to what you get. I have been 3 or 4x now and it is about the same each time. Solid B+\A- food, B service, C-/D prices. I will eat here again, but probably only 2 or 3x a year. read more

We went in the restaurant around 2 on Tuesday. Not busy at all. However , when we walked in, the host and the manager looked at us, no greetings or nothing. Not sure if they're racist or was blinded by our beauty. We weren't dressed weird or anything too. However, the food was good and our server AJ was amazing. Thanks AJ for making the place decent. read more

The service was great, the food was all delicious and the drinks were strong. The lighting is minimal (the best kind of lighting) and the noise level was perfect. My favorite thing about this visit was definitely the young man who made our table-side guacamole. He was new and had just finished training. He immediately apologized for his limited English, which was not necessary. We wanted the guacamole chunky. He didn't understand the word and we couldn't think of a similar one. The word a translation app gave us didn't make sense to him, when applied to guacamole I'm guessing. He stopped a manager walking by and asked her to translate. When she left, he asked us to please repeat the English word, so it would help him learn. If anyone gets annoyed that he doesn't speak perfect English (while they only speak one language ), I hope he doesn't let it change his sweet disposition. And the guacamole was perfect. read more

Great food! I had the fajita platter this time, steak was cooked very well tender and juicy! The peppers were great as well, although for me I still haven't found that perfect meal for me, I still recommend anyone go to uncle julio's their food is prepared very nicely and my friend and I ordered the house made guacamole from scratch! The avocado was fantastic and beautifully prepared. I will definitely be back and continue looking on the menu for my perfect item! read more

The outdoor seating was great but the food was sub par. The drinks were alright though. El jefe was good. Food needs slight improvement.

Looks don't mean everything. Very overpriced for the quality. Spent $50 on two appetizers and was most disappointed in the $9 small (read mini) portion of guacamole that didn't even taste good. The birria was good but I've had much better for half the price. Disappointing overall. read more

It's no surprise how good their food is because the wait is worth it. The music was good for listening and a lil dancing. Patio was packed. The waitress could be more knowledgeable of ingredients but that's no biggie. I had the chicken and steak fajita with cilantro rice and black beans- yum yum. Beans were spicy but delicious. Fresh ingredients used and you can tell. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. Omg the steak and chicken were so juicy and flavorful, I wanted to order some Togo. Would definitely return. My friend had the steak tacos, also deliciously tender. The queso was full of flavor, not spicy but had a bite to it. The tortillas are fresh made and you can taste the difference, fresh is always better. Next we had margaritas. The swirl margarita and the platinum swirl (has an extra shot of patron). Both very good. It's reasonably priced for the quality. I would definitely go again!!!! read more

i cant beleive people waste so much money on this mediocre "mexican" food. oklahomans arent known for being smart though so i guess this is what you get. Mediocre service and less than average food. high bill.though. you might as well go to taco bell and pay them 3 times the price for bean flakes and moldy cheese. good luck with your bad decisions if you go here read more

everything was fine until the meal was over and we felt so rushed out of the restaurant. the waiter asked us to hand all of the dirty plates & bowls to him & as he walked away someone nonchalantly dropped a "reserved" sign on it which i find so incredibly unprofessional. how rude to be rushed out of a restaurant & have something like that thrown on the edge of the table. if we had wanted to sit & talk for a while i have no doubt that they would have ushered us out of the restaurant due to this happening. do better. read more

Is there an option for zero stars? I feel like that is what they deserve to get from me since I sat at a table for 20 minutes and no one greeted me or stopped by to see if I was thirsty. I basically walked in and sat around and walked out so I feel zero stars are what I'm allowed since I didn't have any experience to rate on. As I was leaving I did ask to speak to a manager, a young woman who neither tried to ask me to stay or come across apologetic whatsoever. I have been a spouse to a restaurant manager for 10 years and this is the first time I've been accommodated in this manner. I know the industry and have tons of patience but to be treated this unprofessional in this industry would make any corporate partner irate. It's a shame, I really enjoy the food at Uncle Julio's but this will forever leave a horrible taste in my mouth. read more

Worse dining experience ever! They were out of their special drink which was still on the board when you walk in so my wife ordered a pop and they were out of it. We went there because of our sons birthday and they didn't have the chocolate piñatas we have heard so much about. We ordered our food and sit there about 15-20 min waiting on it then they came out and said they didn't have shrimp for my wife's shrimp fajitas that she ordered. They were also the special which was on the board when you walk in. At this point we had enough and just had them cancel our food. Will never be back. read more

Absolute worst service you can get. From hostess to bartenders everyone is rude with a puss on their face hating to be there serving overpriced food and drinks.
