I wanted to shout out this place Uncle Franks in Wantagh. Checked it out last night after a long time oj my todo list. If i lived closer i woudl be there all the time, they have a lot of my favorite things. The craft cocktails were really good, creative and tasty. The wine selection offered food options. The house salad was had a delicious dressing and the pizzas were terrific, we had meatball and supresstta (meatball was better). The home made vanilla gelato may be the best i ever had. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I would def return here, if you around the area check them out. They also offer a good happy hour and it has a pretty bar area. They knew it was my wife's bday and since she didn't order dessert they bought he a glass of wine after dinner.

Well the meatballs were devoured before I could take the picture. The artichokes were delicate and perfect. The broccolini has a southwest flavor to the sauce which was also a bit spicy. The broccolini was amazingly tender. Kylie our server was so knowledgeable about all the dishes. So polite and personable. A true keeper! The pasta carbonara was done perfectly. The cauliflower pasta was divine The pizzas were cheesy and flavorful We are already planning our next visit!

Great thin crust personal pizza choices. Pasta was good too. Loved the house salad. Definitely want to come back, but need to make reservations if you want to sit inside. There is a reason they are packed. Good food and good service.

Caccio e Pepe Pizza

Came here on a Friday night and sat at the bar. I was in the mood for something a little different, so I ordered the Cacio e Pepe pie. I didn't know what to expect. Would there be spaghetti on the pie? How can Cacio e Pepe possibly work on pizza? Well, I was so glad I decided to try it. The pizza was awesome and tasted just like the Cacio e Pepe sauce you would get in pasta (and there was no spaghetti on the pie). It actually worked really well and I'll love to go back and try the same dish again.

Another hit by the owners of Blackbird and Rustic Root. The bar size and set up is the same as Corey's (the bar that was previously at that location) with a more romantic feel. The drinks are on point, delish and presented well. The pizza was fantastic and separated on the menu by red sauce pizza and white pizza. We tried one of each: had the cacio de Pepe and Uncle Frank pies (Uncle Frank is the traditional cheese pie). Decent size pies. We went hungry and ate half of each. A nice meet for a drink or date night place. I wouldn't bring my toddler but I did see high chairs

The small glasses. Beware, lemonade at $5 does not include refills. Fix this Uncle Franks!!!

Absolutely delicious pizza. We also had the artichokes too, which were insanely good. Dessert was so tasty. 10/10 want to go again.

Delicious food!! Pizza is outstanding and carbonara is unreal. Cocktails are way overpriced, but it's a must try for the food.

I truly cannot say how amazing this restaurant is enough! Our server checked on us frequently and…read morethere were frequent offerings of more bread. The manager checked on us several times as well. The fresh pasta was so delicious. It was a cozy atmosphere with the dim lighting and small dining room, but the hip hop music that played really made this a cool spot. I will DEFINITELY be returning!

I never write reviews, but this experience was insane…read more Me and four friends went for a girls' night dinner, two of us very pregnant (28-32 weeks), and we made that very clear to our waiter. He even offered mocktails and joked about ginger ale, so there should've been zero confusion. Two of us ordered Arnold Palmers (iced tea + lemonade), one friend got a mocktail. When the drinks came, I immediately realized mine had alcohol. Our non-pregnant friend confirmed it, and then we checked the other Arnold Palmer, which also had alcohol. Yes, two clearly pregnant women were served alcoholic drinks. The waiter quickly replaced the drinks and said it was a "miscommunication," but there was no real apology or urgency. I was shaken, but we kept going with dinner. Then comes the bill, over $200, and nothing was comped. I spoke to the manager, explained what happened, and got basically zero remorse. He said he "had no idea" and asked, "what would make you happy?" I asked for the drinks to be comped. He only took off two, leaving the rest, including the drinks that were supposed to be safe, on the bill. Serving alcohol to pregnant women is a huge mistake. Acting like it's no big deal is worse. The food was fine, but we will never come back. Would rate 0 stars if possible.

My last review was six years ago, and I'm happy to say Trento is still doing things right…read more We arrived around 6 PM on a Friday night and, as always, the huge parking lot is a big plus. On Long Island, easy parking can make or break a night out, and Trento definitely delivers there. We grabbed seats at the large, comfortable bar and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. We let our server pick for us, and both choices were excellent. For food, we split the fig, gorgonzola, and prosciutto salad. Beautifully presented and full of flavor. For our entrée, we shared a pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage--another solid dish. But the real standout might have been the focaccia bread. Honestly, some of the best I've ever had--fresh, light, and incredibly delicious. Great food, a comfortable atmosphere, and nice to see a place remain consistently good after all these years. Nice job, Trento.

I have to get my Dad here. The Steak Tartare was outstanding!…read more I got together with some old friends I used to work with and my old boss recommended this place. So glad he did! Our waiter Kumar was excellent! On point with a great sense of humor. I thanked him for being so patient with us while we made up our minds on what to order and he said that's what he is. A WAIT er! Hahaha! Only Harold & I ordered apps. I got the steak tartare and Harold ordered the Kobe beef meatball which he shared with Pat. I tasted the meatball, it was so good. Huge but tender. But my steak tartare was the favorite dish of the night. I like the fact that the beef was finely cubed and the seasoning was different from others that I have had but quite delicious. The shredded truffle was a nice touch. The Stracciatella cheese was more abundant than expected but not overpowering. We all ordered different entrées, chicken Parm, a Seabass that was on special, the salmon dish and I got the veal chop All of us loved our dishes. I didn't taste the other entrées so I can't comment on them, but they all looked amazing but my Veal Chop was definitely worth coming back for! I love a good pounded veal chop, and the marsala sauce was delicious without being cloyingly sweet, which sometimes a marsala sauce can be. Also my Prickly Pear Margarita was delicious! Fruity & powerful! Sorry I haven't been here sooner. Thanks Harold! 2-27-2026

We really enjoyed this steakhouse! They have ample parking and an old school steakhouse ambiance…read morewith red leather booths, which were comfortable. They were also kind about our last minute reservation change due to babysitting issues. They start you with free pickles but give bread too if you ask also for free. We tried the Merlot which we both enjoyed. We then split the French onion soup which was salty but otherwise very good particularly the cheese. I got the petite marinated skirt steak which was about 7 oz and comes with peppers. Very good! Juicy and flavorful. My husband got the NY sirloin which was smoky and cooked a perfect medium rare. The steaks come with a choice of potato and we both got the mashed potatoes. They were good but not great. Not as garlicky or as flavorful as I was hoping. The steaks were amazing though so would just try a different potato next time. Would definitely come back! Recommend!

Awful! Just awful!…read more We were really up for a good steak and this place had 4.5 stars so we took a chance and made a reservation through open table. The greeting staff was great, friendly and accommodating. The food was just awful. -Complementary pickles and bread were just ok. We like sour pickles and these were not. -Wings were undercooked -Signature salad was overloaded with bacon and the dressing was boring. -Filet mignon was tasteless. No flavor. -Creamed spinach was overcooked (frozen-like quality ) -Mushroom were mushy ( tasted like they came out of a can) The cheesecake was fine ( I have a feeling it was store-bought ) and it was served with soft defrosted strawberries. Not what we expected. The ambience is tired. Needs to be refreshed. The best part of the experience was the server. She was polite, accommodating, upbeat and attentive. Overall, not good quality or value. I would not recommend it. We will never be back!

First time trying this place this weekend. Interior is on the small side, dark, and tables fill up…read morevery fast, so make a reservation to be safe. This place is described as tapas-style, so some dishes are on the smaller size, but the more expensive dishes are full portion: the burger, chicken, pasta w/crab, etc. Seems they also change their menu very regularly, as I saw some fantastic looking things in the pictures here, none of which were on the menu. On the more expensive side price wise, and there is a full bar and bourbon selection to punch it higher. Tried a few things, some I'd skip if I came back, but also a few things I'd like to try that I didn't get to. Skippables include the Gouda Gruyères: onion soubise and the cacio e pepe, both underwhelming and more expensive than it should have been. I also tried the gem salad, chicken wings, the rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe, and the flan for dessert. Flavors were good, the wings were very heavy on the salt but had good flavor, and everything else was covered in tons of cheese, from the salad to the pasta, it was a lot. Service was quick, waitress friendly. People in the area seem to absolutely love this place and overhearing people talk, there's nothing bad on the menu, and the corn agnolotti was delicious (I was sad to have changed my order, this is what I was originally going to get). Interested in seeing a fall menu for this place!
