Uncle Earl's has transformed itself from the loud, college crazed, packed pick up bar of the 2000s, and has grown into a mature destination for young professionals. I had not been in some time, my last few experiences were filled with drunk kids at the bar and I figured it was a place I was too old for. But recently, I went in after work to meet with some friends, and the place certainly had a glow-up. They have a decent wine selection, and the cocktails were on point. The bar is clean and I like the different levels. The lushly decorated outdoor area is comfortable and a nice way to relax and enjoy conversation. And everyone who worked there was helpful and engaging. We also attended a Galentines Day event recently, and that was a great way to expose new people and those who had been away to the location. Delicious catering items were spread throughout the space. While I likely will avoid any large scale events there, it is nice option for grabbing a drink after work or attending a special event. Of course a note about parking.... because the area is separated by a fence, it is a little dicey. You can park in the lot on the other side of the fence and walk around, or you can drive to the back behind the building. Please be aware of your surroundings if doing so as it is pretty remote back there. read more

Underage drinking and Underage workers serving alcohol. I went to support a friend at Uncle Earl's one week for our annual girls night. When I walked in the atmosphere was a bit boring..... anyone could basically go behind the bar and drink if you knew the managers. NEARLY EVERYONE who was serving me was underage, one girl even told me she had just turned 21... I was a bit uncomfortable with that. The drinks are overpriced... What bar doesn't serve Titos? The worst part about it every time i went in the bathroom most of the employees would be sniffing drugs.. like what type of bar are you guys running ? This bar needs to be shut down.... Let me update my review since it's being misconstrued and talked about . This review has NOTHING to do with anyone that worked at this bar. I've worked in a bar 12+ plus years ! I know how old you have to be to serve and yes that's correct it's 18 . Drinking and serving underage is highly illegal and I saw both of those things . Along with the drugs in the bathroom . Visited this establishment for a back to school event hosted by a group of BR locals on a Saturday. The bartenders were very friendly and the place was very neat and clean (including the restrooms). The drinks were perfect! They contained the right amount of alcohol and were very large for the price. There is a very nice patio area but it was too hot outside to enjoy. I can't wait to visit again for another event. read more

Great time last night!!! Patio is a great place to catch up with friends over a cold beer (big draft selection)

A prime party spot but just right for those flying solo during the week. As you drove down the road you probably wonder what's that building covered in grass? Well, it's a hidden gem I will call it HUGE with covered patio and games! During the week the are a little slower so don't be alarmed if it's just you and the bartender. My friend and I stopped by after going to another restaurant up the street finding happy hours. When we stumbled in the space is huge with three different sections just inside. We talked with the bartender being that it was just us and she let us try there Rosé on tap gave us some info on all the different beers they had. So she suggested the frozé I had never had one and I was very impressed then she gave us one of her signature drinks a gummy bear shot now don't ask what's in it just take it. Now I love that there are games I mean the inner child in me screams! Giant connect four, Jenga along with bing bang toss and mini-golf I mean you can't beat that with a group of friends! read more

Does not even attempt to account for COVID safety. At least 40-50 guests were standing crammed around the bar with no masks on, not even a bit of social distancing. One of the most unsafe scenes I have witnessed since the beginning of the pandemic. I am appalled that this place is still open. read more

I went with a couple friends last week. My friend is very particular about her drinks, and the bar tender accommodated her entirely. The bar tenders were great. The owner I wasn't too fond of. While my friends and I were talking, a guy who was very drunk came up to us and claimed he knew the owner. He pointed to the guy behind us saying he was the owner, so we asked him if he owned the place. He said yes. The guy continued to harass us for the rest of the night, and when we told the owner, he did absolutely nothing about it. I will not be going back if he is going to allow his friends to harass customers. read more

One of my favorite bars in Baton Rouge. Always clean, love the bartenders and the atmosphere! Also, recently had an event here (because of it being my favorite bar) and they were so helpful and great to work with! Great for parties!! Catering company they use in house was delicious too. Don't wast your time on St. Patty's Day. You'll pay $25 a person. My friends and I waited well over an hour at the bar only to finally give up. We were still probably another 30 minutes from the front of the line. They maybe had 10 total bartenders at all of the bar locations. Complete waste of money and time. We went down the road where the scene was much better. read more

Since they have renovated the bar and have new owners, this place is awesome. With so many fun things to do outside plus the comfy seating behind the dance area, it's a win any night. I went to this bar last night and ordered one drink and left an hour after arriving. I wake up this morning to find they charged my card for two separate charges $25 and $40.80. I've heard that they've done this to other customers before and I've had something similar happen at Boudreau and Thibodauxs. No matter how you look at it it's theft and fraud. read more

We stopped in here this weekend to watch a World Cup game. The Dig mentioned this as a great bar to catch the games, so we were really excited to check it out. The server was nice, and the manager, also sitting at the bar for the game, was really friendly, too. Drinks were decent. The problem? This so-called sports bar doesn't have HD for their tvs because they "couldn't find a cable long enough to reach." It's sad, because it would be a pretty cool place to watch games - hopefully they'll fix this issue quickly. Might go back to check out the patio they're building, but I'm in no rush. read more

Walked into a "scent o' vomit" smell to the bar. They had a decnt one-man band playing outside on the patio, but it was very cold outside so very few people were out there. Inside there was a less than rookie Dj playing the best of the bottom of the barrel from 1998 to 2002. The Dj was playing music via his cellphone and spotify. The bartender was a cute college age female who operated at a "hungover" pace and mixed horrible tasting drinks. We had a party of 9 people who all started with a mixed drink/cocktail of choice. Not 1 of the 9 drinks made were made with the correct mixers and all had Taaka quality alcohol in them. It was an epic fail on the bartenders part. We all then switched to drinking beer which was a second fail as the beers were probably in the range of 50°. COOL BEER tastes a lot more like ass than COLD beer!!! After the crappy mixed drinks and warm beers, we left and went to a more classy managed bar! read more
