Matt and his team gently persuaded me to try a 2013 Yamaha VXR. I'm in love. I tried a different model first, but didn't have quite enough power for me. This one is great. And so are the team at Interstate cycle. I traded in a double trailer and a 1999 Sea Doo. They gave me a great deal and are awesome to work with. The exchange was seamless and they made sure I was happy before I left. I whole heartily recommend Interstate Cycle in Mooresville if you are in the market for a wave runner, motorcycle or four wheeler. They let you test drive and make sure you are satisfied! PS, I bought my scooter there too! Karen

I was working on a deal for a new bike and it started out okay but quickly went off the rails because the shops owner is out of his mind, SERIOUSLY. After two days of setting up the deal I walked out on it feeling angry, untrusted and completely disrespected. I drove to D2 Powersports in Greer SC the following weekend and made my bike purchase without any hassle or disappointment whatsoever. D2 Powersports will treat you right, Interstate Cycle will screw you over.

Our Sea-Doo was bought new from this dealership and serviced only by them. Late last summer the…read moreimpeller failed and it took on water, they charged us $2,100 for a repair (boil out procedure, new impeller, impeller shaft, seals) and claimed it was lake-tested afterwards -- it wasn't. Less than two minutes back on the water, the supercharger blew, sending shrapnel into the intercooler -- another $3,000+ repair. A certified tech I know later told me the engine wasn't fully cleared of water, likely causing the failure. It didn't end there. First time on the water this spring and an oil leak from a broken O-ring (their fault) causing a fourth trip to see them. All this and we rode it for less than an hour. The staff acts like they're doing you a favor fixing their own mistakes. The service manager Joie is unhelpful, and the GM, Susan Newsome, refused to speak with me. Incompetent service from top to bottom. Avoid this business.

When he went to pick it up today (Thursday) he was told the technician was "just finishing it up". After he paid the $576 bill, they brought it out and loaded on the trailer. While they were securing, my husband walked around and was looking at the grease fittings. Luckily, he knows what he is looking at and could tell that no greasing had been done. He went back into the office and told "Frank" that it had not been greased. He was told "oh you were a little early". Keep in mind, the appointment was Wednesday. The technician brought it back in, had it in for less than 10 minutes, and out the door it came again. Once again, the Can Am was loaded, and once again my husband walked around and looked. And, once again, he could tell at least one of the fittings had not been greased. After going back in and telling them the issue, they sent the tech back out with him. The tech immediately said "I greased all of the fittings on this", to which my husband (who was regrettably quite annoyed by now) pointed to one and said "does this f#$&ing fitting look greased?" The tech's response was "I guess I forgot one, and you're an a#$hole." Wow. Supposedly, the noise we hear is because both front axles need to be replaced to the cost of probably close to $800. Uh huh, right, and we are just going to bring it right back to have you do that. I told my husband he should check to make sure the oil really got changed.

I would not take your bike to open road cycles unless you want to be lied to for 2 years. Started…read moreout I rode up to this business to talk to them about getting some work done to my bike and they said no problem they could do everything I was needing done. First what I was wanting done was motor rebuild, air ride replace with dirty air, and new rear fender and saddle bags. I took my bike to open road cycles 2 years ago and they had my bike the first time 1 year and the only thing got done was the motor work, air ride and the new screen for the front fairing keep in mind this was all supposed to be done in less than a year. Then about a month before that next summer was over, I was wanting to ride my bike some I was able to pick it up. I had my bike for about 2 months then took it back to AJ once he told me he already had fender and saddle bags on order. Then another year later I could not list all the lies that was told to me but I called Aj and said no matter what I'm coming to get my bike on Friday this was on a Monday he said ok no problem it will be done he even called me Friday morning saying everything is good to go but could you pick up around 5 I said no problem I will go eat with my family and come once I'm done. Aj ghosted me again for the 2nd time. I then get on FB because I didn't have him cell number to message him at this point, I'm upset and later that night his dad contacted me. I was upset and told him I need to get my bike Saturday or I'm calling the police. I picked up my bike Saturday, and nothing had been done to my bike it looked exactly the way i left it a year ago. Aj even called me Friday to say he could not find my tag which was another lie because he never took it off my bike in the first place but to call and tell me that is insane. Ive been in business 23 years and could never treat someone like Aj has treated me. I would have been ok if he would have said man just take your bike and ride it once the parts come in, I will call you when they arrive and go from there. I'm not hard to deal with this was a bike I don't ride a lot anyway because it was one of my best friends' bikes that had passed away so more sentimental than anything but it's just the point to lie to someone for this long I should of never took my bike back in the first place but Ive already giving him 10 thousand dollars and still owed him a little money so by me taking my bike back I fill like the deal between AJ and I that I did not get my money's worth but there again I've been in business and I know things happen. If he would have been upfront and not lied like he did and needed more money than we could of discuss that, but he never said anything (like hey dude I need more money). This is the first time I've ever done a review on anyone and don't like doing stuff like this, but I think people need to know how they run their business and how they treat their customers. Thanks for reading
