I visited Tilley Harley Davidson while in Statesville and I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a small place, but this was large, bright, and clean. (Turns out, Don Tilley was a famous racer in his time!) The two ladies who assisted me were very personable. They had exactly what I was looking for. I chatted with them for a while and had a lovely time. There was a good assortment of motorcycles on the sales floor; not as many as other dealers, but a very nice showing. Lots of clothing and parts on display for sale, easy to locate. This dealership is easy to find at the end of a dead-end road and has a very large, clean parking lot. read more

On my way down I-77 South to Charlotte Wednesday evening, I noticed the Harley-Davidson sign right on the side of the road. I made a mental note of this to stop in for a visit on my way home... I arrived about 4:00 pm on a Wednesday. The place is rather large - a good selection of both used and new bikes. The staff were very friendly and I chatted with a few of them while I wandered about. I oohed and aahed as I always do over the Heritage Softail Classics. I bought a couple of Tilley H-D muscle shirts for the gym and a dealer poker chip. They also have this really cool wicker motorcycle with a large Teddy Bear riding it - right behind the receptionist at the front desk. Nice Harley dealership! read more

My wife, son and I were on vacation in South Carolina, planning on returning home on a Monday. We noticed the Tilley HD sign by the highway and figured we'd stop in on Monday, on the way home. I called on Sunday to find out they were closed on Mondays. My wife and I paid $150 for another nights stay just so we could stop by Tilley HD on the way home and WOW...are we glad we did! The lot was huge, clean and had plenty of parking. The inside was spotless with everything in its spot and/or folded. We were immediately greeting by a sweet lady up front that really made us feel welcome. I had the blessing, honor and pleasure of meeting a young lady in motorclothes named Kaysea. All of us immediately fell in love with her! She treated us like we were part of the family. She was attentive to us, helped us in any way we needed and provided incredible conversation and hospitality. I used to teach customer service classes in a previous life, so I know what I'm talking about. Miss Kaysea was textbook perfect in every way! I truly could not find anything wrong with her service...and believe me, I tried. :) If she wasn't so far away, I'd love to hire her for our office. I even got to speak with the motorclothes manager (I cant remember her name-I'm old!) and she was equally as impressive-what a sweetheart! Got to even speak to the owner. He was a super great guy who loved his store AND his employees. When you get an owner that loves and cares about his store and employees like that...it's catching and EVERYONE in the shop will have that attitude. I have been to MANY HD dealerships on the Eastern half of the country...Tilley sets the standard, folks, I mean it! They are definitely our favorite. Go see Tilley FIRST, go see Tilley LAST...I don't care...JUST GO SEE THEM! Find out for yourself why they are the Tom Brady of HD dealerships! read more

After doing Internet searches & visiting dealerships, my boyfriend & I could not agree on any aspect other then we wanted a Harley. Driving home from Charlotte we decided to look over Tilley's inventory. A Devine miracle happen we both saw a HD we liked, now the price issue......ALL I can say there is peace in my house and our new 2013 Heritage Softail in the garage thanks to Justin, management & the service for doing a last minute modification to a different muffler on a Friday night close to closing. I know i am very critical of the manner in which businesses interact & treat their customers. Yet without reservation I give Tilley's an full five stars for Excellent Customer Service & I wouldn't hesitate recommending them with confidence as I know i wasn't just "lucky" this is their norm of how they work to get & keep a loyal customer. Trust me when I say, I drive a hard bargain, beware of shady sales techniques and none of these tactics were used to earn my business. I can say without reservation I feel Extremely Satisfied with my purchase and through research know I got a good fair deal without ALL the typical games used in negotiations of high ticket items. I have purchased two motorcycles here, and the sales, motorclothes and service are great, but the Parts department is HORRENDOUS and will not deal with this dealership ever again because of it. Ordered a part from here and paid in full in advance. The part I found out arrived on a Friday and was never contacted, in fact only found out the following Tuesday when I called. When I complained they made all kinds of lame excuses and you could tell by the tone they were told to do so and it pissed them off. I suggest buying parts anywhere but here as they don't care and are lazy as can be. read more

I had to have a new rear tire for my Dyna after finding out they only sell factory tires that don't last I took my new tire and my wheel in for a mount and balance thinking it would be safe in their hands. WRONG I got it back i was in a rush picking it up on lunch break when I got home I found that they had scratched it bad knocking off the powder coat. took the bike with the new tire by to show and at least get an opps we're sry i got a phone call back from the service manager saying they didn't scratch it was that way before they got it. I know it wasn't so enjoy the almost $50 you robbed me of it will be the last!!! I was considering a new 2014 Street Glide from the same dealer but no way in Hack that will happen now. read more
