Don't let the humble appearance or location of this shop fool you: these guys go great work, at fair prices, and deliver some of the best customer service around. One year ago I stopped by this shop for a leak repair on my classic car. Henry had me pull into his shop and repaired it instantly, what's more, he didn't charge me a dime. I returned today for a new exhaust to be bent in the same classic car. Henry was out sick, and Danny took car of the quote and the job. I experienced the same service and same care that Henry provided. All questions were answered concisely on how long it would take and how my car would be treated while there (inside only if overnight). There we no subjective "try" statements. The end result looks great, sounds good and fits great. My classic buick has a slight rumble at idle and is dead quiet at speed now, and things are flowing much better. Photos included. Poor customer service - I wont be giving them my business - I made an appt to get my jeep inspected for Thursday morning right at 8 when they opened - I got there at 7:30 and watched 3 employees go in around 7:45 - I waited until 8- since that is when they open and went in. 2 of the employees, were chatting at the counter about a TV program - they didnt stop and acknowledge me what so ever. I waited until they finally stopped talking and then said I have an appt for an inspection. The one guy said "our Inspection lady called off sick today - I saw you had an appt, you can come back tomorrow" - Seriously??? if you knew I had an appt, and saw me sitting out there waiting, why not come out and tell me that it wont happen so i can get on with my day - or how about calling me since you had all my info, so again I can get on with my day.......... read more

I was referred to Muffler Masters by Black Dodge to assist with after market exhaust issues discovered. Black was honest, and told me that's not their specialty, and they could only recommend replacement, not repair, and for my vehicle that started at about $1100.00. So, I go over, take one of a few parking spots, as it's a small lot, and wait. I figured Id share this part. The lady is the wait room was "appalled" at loud the older truck ahead of me was so loud (at a muffler shop) and even covered her ears, BUT she had no issue and didn't think blasting Family Feud on her phone at full volume would bother me. SMH... Anyway, I wait, 30 minutes, guy racks my truck and 5 minutes later I'm done. I won't tell you costs, but it was 1% of initial recommendation. You'll wait, because they take care of who was there first, isn't that what you want, if it's your car ahead, not to stop and be "pretty" but to do the job? read more

"Muffler MASTERS" are indeed MASTERS! They Solved My Idol/Brake Problems! My 3" Muffler Rusted Out and every time I hit the Brakes, the 4.3 V6 Vortec Hypertech Engine would die out. Not anymore! They welded a "THRUSH Performance Muffler" to replace the Rust Bucket Muffler that was 21 years old in my 1992 GMC Sonoma SLE. AWESOME and QUICK Work at a GREAT PRICE! My car broke down on my 1:15 min commute home today. Luckily for me it was on the exit where Muffler Masters was located in Statesville, NC. Although they were closing as I rolled in, the two gentlemen there, Danny and Jamie, went above and beyond to get me back on the road, despite that it was already past closing, despite that they had to run out and get some of the parts needed and despite that the repair took an hour and a half, and did I mention they had worked through lunch today and were ready to leave as my car limped in? I'm grateful for thorough, hard working, kind professionals that are willing to go above and beyond to serve a customer they could have easily turned away as they were closing up for the day. The people at Muffler Masters were the nicest mechanics I ever dealt with. I went in with a problem other places said would cost $400 and I left there with the problem solved for $46. They only did what I needed and did it in my lunch hour. Being a woman (who has a vast knowledge of cars but you know how men are) I didn't feel I was getting screwed like us women usually do at an auto repair place. I had an incredible experience at Muffler Masters. I needed work done on my exhaust system so my car could pass inspection. I had already put a lot of work into fixing the emissions system elsewhere. Meineke estimated me nearly $800 for the work that needed to be done on the exhaust. When all was said and done, Muffler Masters only charged me $160 for the whole job. They were patient and kind and tried very hard to save me money instead of rip me off. The factory muffler for my car would have cost a lot of money, so they were able to work with what they had and literally created a masterpiece. Henry did the work on my car and he was especially nice. I wish I had known about them before I wasted my time and money going anywhere else. I recommend them 100% read more

Based on recommendations by Brawley Tire & Automotive in Mooresville and a friend who had his Mercedes serviced by Muffler Masters, I took my '69 Corvette to Statesville to have the long tube headers & rear exhaust system swapped out for side pipe headers and Allen chambered side pipes. Henry did an excellent job removing the old exhaust system such that I can sell it if I want. The new headers and side pipes were lined up correctly such that I had no problems in installing a set of '69 Corvette side pipes covers myself. Henry scheduled a follow up session to tighten the headers after a 1 1/2 week use to complete the installation. The 6 hour effort to accomplish this was very reasonably priced and much less than if I had gone to a GM dealer or a restoration shop. The side pipes look & sound great! The shop ain't pretty, but these guys know exhaust systems. read more
