Kabuki has definitely earned my loyalty. The food is always good and now I know they care about their customers.

Our server which was Steven. We were not difficult people and we do not ask for stuff out of the ordinary. At our table there were another group of people who received way better customer service than us. To start it took forever for him to bring drinks, soup, and salad out meanwhile we were seated less than 5 minutes after the other group. By the time we received our drink, soup, and salad the other group at our table were well finished and received a round refills on their drinks. Throughout our whole dinner we did not receive a refill on drinks nor were we asked. Upon asking for a to go box along with sauce we received an attitude. Every little thing we asked for we received an attitude. Overall this experience was terrible and it will be a while before I return to this location. It is sad to say we received exceptional customer service from our cook rather than our server Steven.

I did not taste any rice vinegar in the rice, but that is okay. My ginger salad was a big serving but I had one bite that tasted a little off like mold. Restaurant-style Japanese ramen is a very different creature than the dried stuff you get for…read more30¢/pack and boil at home. Unfortunately, Mizu Ramen resembles the latter. Tonkotsu ramen's basic flavor profile is fat, salt, and (in the case of black tonkotsu) garlic. It is an incredibly rich, salty, and filling dish. The broth should be creamy as a result of all the fat, collagen, and gelatin extracted by cooking pork bones for over a long period. Mizu Ramen is none of these things. It is a thin, watery dish devoid of flavor. Either the base of the soup was not cooked long enough, or they're cheaped out on the amount of bones used. I found myself pouring soy sauce into it just to make it somewhat salty. You don't even get a shaker of furikake or some vinegar for the table! While Mizu avoids a 1 star rating on account of the fact that it's not disgusting and the service isn't bad per se, I cannot recommend it as a much better ramen chain, UMAMI, is only 7 minutes away.
