My gf introduced me to this terrific restaurant! We always get sushi, which is amazing! So far, I have enjoyed a variety of sushi, and all were delicious! However, if pressed, the wasabi roll is my favorite barely. The wait staff is courteous and friendly, and the establishment is clean. Enjoy! read more

My family of three came on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Apparently we missed the lunch special so definitely considering coming a little early for more bargains. The sushi was affordable. I did not taste any rice vinegar in the rice, but that is okay. My ginger salad was a big serving but I had one bite that tasted a little off like mold. My salmon teriyaki box and daughter's chicken teriyaki box were good. Husband did not enjoy the steak teriyaki as the meat was too tough. I like that they had the SEC football playing which we could see from our booth. Staff was polite and attentive. I would like to try other things like the tempura, noodles, fried rice, and udong soup in the future. It is nice that Smoothie King is a few doors down as that satisfied my husband's sweet tooth! Give this local place a try if you are in the area, especially if you are on a budget and craving sushi! read more

Sushi was incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the best I've had in the area. The tempura was perfectly crispy. Service was welcoming and attentive. The sushi can be a little slow when they're busy, but it's worth the wait. Nothing pretentious, just really good food done right. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Good as always , service is great , lunch price is reasonable, absolutely will come back ,

Food was good. Service was fast. Ordered two different mixed drinks and they were extremely watered down.

The service is fantastic. I am always pleased with the service. The food on the other hand is a different story. I really hate to give anywhere a poor review. Me and my wife ate here last night and have been violently ill ever since. What a shame, this was our go to place for a while read more

Excellent service! We ordered around 6 rolls just at our table and it was all fantastic!!! We will definitely be back! read more

Food made me sick. Literally saw rat scurry across the floor. Used to be one of my fav places

I have eaten at this restaurant many times. They have wonderful lunch specials & pretty good dinner prices as well. They do not cook in front of you like most Hibachi spots. Located in a strip center, but don't let this hole in the wall fool you. *Ambiance: Dim lighting. Fine for families, college kids or date night. This is a casual place, it's not fancy by any means. Plenty of booths if you like comfort. Decor is lacking, but people come here for the good food & great prices. *Most the Hibachi/Teryaki Dinners are $10-13. Most sushi ranges from $6-12. The only complaint I have, which is why I knocked off a star, is I ordered a side of veggies & it was $4.95 & the tiniest side ever. But typically portions are great. *Food is just as tasty as the expensive Japanese steakhouses. *Wait staff: somewhat friendly. Food comes out quickly. For reference, I have pictured the Pink Lady roll (wrapped in soy paper) & the Beauty & the Beast Roll. read more

Service - subpar. I told the server no onions in my vegetables. The first time he brought it out, I had no vegetables all together. Then he took it back into the kitchen and gave me what seemed like premade veggies with onions (considering it was brought out about 2 mins after he took it back). Food - mediocre at best. Half the items in my bento box were cold and my miso soup was also lukewarm.. not really how I'd prefer to have soup. The steak was overcooked. It seems like they have everything made ready to go and don't heat it up when ordered.... read more

O.K. lunch spot for some quick sushi and some Japanese hibachi style food. I normally come have a couple of sushi rolls with some friends to share which allows me to eat a whole lot of different rolls at a time. My favorites are the "Candy Cane Roll", the "Eel Roll" and the "Fuji Roll". Each one of these are unique and offer a different assortment of fish, sauces, and toppings for a fun little taste of everything. Of course a sushi meal for me isn't complete without a miso soup and the one they have here is pretty good. read more

Had my first visit here a couple weeks ago and I have eaten it 3 times since then! So amazing and so many options of sushi. Fried rice was great, shaggy dog hit the spot! Recommend to all sushi lovers! read more

Worst service ever Server didn't bring silverware and didn't ask water or so. She threw the dishes that I order. Manager and the server did not say any word of apology. Please Do not go this place Even One star is too much for them read more

The quality looked good but it wasn't. I got the shrimp tempura. Batter was TOO thick. I felt like I was eating pure breadcrumbs. The only roll that was good was the shaggy roll. read more

The dinner was pleasant and all, but while we were checking out, the waiter said to me "For Chinese, we've already included 18% tips in the bill." What was that??! Why aimed at Chinese? And it appeared on the bill that there's still a place to put in tips. If I didn't put too much attention I might be charged twice for the tips. I then asked him to deduct the extra charged money from the bill so I can tip them by myself. Please pay extra attention on what appears on your bill while you are checking out. Don't be bullied by them. read more

I would suggest to get here super early, or late because man it gets packed! Better than most "Japanese" places in the area.. but still doesn't match up to the hibachi places in Raleigh,NC. Martinis and Ginger salad dressing are 7 out of 10 read more

Probably one of the best sushi and hibachi places in Auburn! They have bento boxes to die for. A veggie roll, side of fried rice, and ginger salad with tip it's less than 10$. read more

Good sushi and I like that they offer assorted sashimi. A little bit pricey for dinner and not enough quantity but lunch price is good. I wish that they will lower the price a bit or adjust the quantity of food they serve, specially since most who eat here are college students. We love Fuji! Great service and sushi. This is our go-to sushi place. I love the fried sushi and their rice is good too.

My kids really like this place but I am not sure why. I would say the teriyaki box is a decent deal at $12.95 because it's a lot of food. We all do Enjoy the ginger salad. I think the sushi is average. Tonight I also ordered the chicken fried rice and basically is was tiny bits of chicken tiny bits of onion with flavorless rice. Would not order it again. At a tab of $115 I can see the value. read more

So upset with Fuji right now. First off, if you look online at their menu, don't expect that to be the price. Their online formats pricing are on average $3 cheaper then they actually charge you. Additionally, It says the lunch special gets a soup or salad.... WRONG... they give you nothing. Here is their website I used as reference: http://fujisushibar.tripod.com/id14.html sucks they can't keep their online platform accurate when they know thats what everyone uses. Lastly, Yum yum sauce makes the meal, everyone knows this. So I paid extra to get 2 more sauces. I get home (with my FOUR entrees) to find out I have one yum yum sauce.... how the heck are four people suppose to share one sauce!!! So not only did I not get one per meal, I didn't get wait I paid extra for. If you want to nickel and dime everything, thats fine, but you better make sure its right!! Also the yakisoba tasted like a tank of fish died in it. read more

I tried to call in an order tonight and was asked to please hold, the girl just put the phone down instead of pressing the hold button so I could clearly hear her gossiping to another girl the whole time. The person picking up our order was already on their way so I decided to see how long it would take for the employee to finish her conversation and take my order. After discussing acupuncture, graduation, broken nails, pickles, and not liking Timothy; they finally hung up the phone after 25 min without apologizing or even saying anything to me. Super disappointed in how everything was handled. read more

Fuji Sushi Bar - Still on hold while I can hear her gossip. - Sushi Bars Near Me - Auburn, Alabama

GOOD FOOD. HORRIBLE TREATMENT! I called in an order but was told it was "special" because I requested soy paper instead of seaweed. I was also informed about an additional $2.00 fee per roll but I didn't care...the Shaggy Dog is good! Stuff happens, I had to cancel my order. I actually had the courtesy to call the restaurant and apologize. A manager named "Anna" calls me back to tell me that I HAVE TO come in to pick up my order because they had already made the food. Not only did she call to tell me to inform me of what I MUST DO, she also told me not to call back and hung up in my face! I called the restaurant and ask to have the name of the manager who called. The young lady on the phone said it was her...Anna. I ask to speak with the manager she said she was the manager too. By the way, Anna also owns Fuji. The food is great, I'm even will to pay an additional $2.00 per roll for something that use to be complementary. I'm not willing to be disrespected and harassed. I'm about to go into Fuji's to make sure that I have the correct information for this complaint letter. The way the situation is handled will determine the update to my review. read more

I'm only giving this place one star because I have too! The sushi tasted like the crab was caught in a near by pound. I ate two pieces. When I said I was not satisfied with my meal the waiter and manager did not care and made me pay for the entire meal without any concern! If you care about your life you would NOT EAT HERE read more

It's vile .. Don't believe any of the "best in Auburn" garbage. Abomination rolls (cooked or slathered in some kind of mayo concoction) were moderately ok but we left all of the sashimi ... I don't think we've *ever done that. Being "the best in Auburn" doesn't mean it's worth going to. read more

So when my significant other told me that Fuji was going to make me O and that it was ballin', my response was something along the lines of, "Sure, I live on the Gulf Coast. What can your nearly landlocked state possibly produce in the raw fish market?" But produce it did. Mouth melting. Oh my God. Amazing. Go here. Second best overall dinning experience in Auburn. ps- They are speedy on ordering out, but the few times we have, the quality wasn't as good as eating in. read more

Awesome! We came in at 9:10pm (they close at 10pm) and had a wonderful time! Staff was kind and service was great for a late, slow evening. 4 stars, but against the big dogs barely 3. Out of the sushi places in Auburn this is the best. However, if people in auburn think this is amazing sushi they are sadly mistaken and should really get out more. But for a college town with hungry college student wanting a cheap bite into the new food fads this is the place to go. Must try: Their ginger salad dressing is amazing. I will give them that. Every time I have been its a must order. Skip: Sashimi. It's overpriced and obviously previously frozen and thawed. However, when your in the middle of Alabama, what can ya do? It's not bad but your better off ordering rolls. To order: The rolls are the way to go. Their dinners - such as sesame chicken etc are ok, if you don't like sushi you can go that route. Overall not bad. I didn't keel over afterwards so for sushi in Alabama I guess that is a success! read more

The breading on the shrimp and vegetable tempura are layers you can peel off. The portions are miserably tiny. You can see most of the bottom of the tray and hardly any food. The hibachi steak was the only thing that not terrible but the meat was very dry. You had to drown it in sauce to get anything out of it. Just stick with the sushi. read more

Meh. I make better vegetable sushi than what I got here, not to mention all they had that was vegetarian in terms of sushi was the "viggi" roll and the cucumber roll. Went here with a friend and colleague and he said his sashimi tasted fishy - but then again, this is Auburn, and I dunno where you could be expecting to get fresh fish. The waiter was nice, but the credit card machine went down. I never carry cash, so I was very fortunate my friend had cash on him, otherwise I don't know what we would have done. We also had to ask a couple of times before the waiter remembered to bring us water. The best thing about this place was that for I think only $4, they were very generous with my glass of plum wine - it was much fuller than most places would have poured it. read more

Second time having lunch here. Miso soup was decent and pretty cheap, $1.55 for a cup. Ordered two rolls: Pink Lady Roll and Volcano Roll. Pink Lady Roll was nothing special and the Volcano Roll was just California roll with spicy imitation crabmeat and mayo, it's probably the better one of the two. The rolls are small. read more

I'm a bit of a sushi novice, but the girlfriend loves it. So, if she's in a bad mood..... Off to get sushi. Fuji is a very good place to get good food without having to spend a lot. The service is good and the servers bring your food fast.
