Very good pizza and definitely satisfying the hunger. Quick, fast, courteous and clean.

We've been living here for 21 years and have only ever stopped in for a few slices of pizza during lunch. On this occasion, we had the opportunity to eat dinner here and it was surprisingly good. Service was very good. We started with a bottle of inexpensive red wine and some baked clams. The wine was totally acceptable and the baked clams were fresh, plump, seasoned well and served with a rich sauce (maybe olive oil and butter?-but very flavorful and perfect for dipping the complimentary, warm Italian bread). Our entrees were the scallops with risotto, linguine with white clam sauce, and the homemade sausage with broccoli rabe and sweet red peppers. Scallops were on the small side, but fresh and delicious, as was the risotto, served correctly, al dente, still slightly firm in the center. Linguine with white clam sauce included plump littlenecks in a flavorful, garlicky olive oil base, pasta was also just a touch past al dente, but totally delicious. The best dish of the night was the homemade sausage and broccoli rabe served with a side of linguine and marinara sauce. The sausage was juicy, not over cooked and the broccoli rabe was sauteed in sliced garlic and garnished with some sweet red pepper slices as well. The fennel wasn't strong and not overly salted. The serving size was generous and easily served 2. We finished up with some cappuccinos. Totally surprised that we haven't eaten dinner here sooner and also slightly surprised by the low ratings. Dinner for 3 with an appetizer and bottle of wine, tax and tip, just slightly under $200. Pretty fair for the quality, quantity and service. Manhasset is home.

The rabe, sausage pizza was yummy even though the crust was a bit soggy. The neopolitan was very good but I feel the crust is off. Maybe they're using a different flour now. Good service even though restaurant was empty and hostess asked if I had a reservation. Lol.

Super friendly staff, had multiple recommendations and kept our waters filled. The pasta was amazing, linguine was cooked perfectly and blended well with the pink cream sauce, shrimp was cooked perfectly as well and very large pieces. The pizzetta was a bit too charred on the edges and was smaller and thinner than I would have liked. Personally I'll stick with the normal pies next time.

Aperol Spritz: aperol, prosecco and Seltzer. Enjoyed every drop.

Surprised by my rating - me too! This score was for the whole experience - ambiance/food/service/variety. Based on the Yelp reviews I read before coming here, I was thinking it'll be an ok place. For this dinner, I was either in this place on a very good night or the reviewers got it wrong?! Didn't even sound like the same place - puzzling. I was here on a Saturday night, no reservation. Since it was already close to 8:30pm, figured I had a chance to snag a table given the lackluster reviews. It also closes at 10:30pm so I also figured I'm going in on the last dinner service. My party of five waited between 8-10 minutes and then we were seated. The dining room is divided into two sides it would seem. One side for take out slices and dining for two (single booths) and the other, tables with chairs and one large banquette table in the front. That table looked cozy and perfect for 5-8 people. Do ask for that if you can reserve it. Eventually towards the back of the dining room, the space opens up. Much more comfortable tables back there. More elbow room and you'd be less on top of one another. Throughout the evening, the manager checked in on us a few times and even chatted us up with his recommendations. The wait staff while super busy, made sure to check in with us all throughout the ordering process and the meal. Truth be told, I barely had room for dessert but I just had to squeeze it in. My kids also wanted dessert since they shared a pizza as their dinner. So we ordered a few things to share. (Must try: the Nutella pizza - the crust on this was excellent! The way the Nutella/hazelnut spread was warm and gooey!) The hot food: Everyone's had Mussels before, especially the white or red sauce... This place presented a pesto and white Cannellini bean option - that was the one for me. I encouraged my family to try a different one and it was a win! The pesto sauce was refreshing and made the Mussels appetizer a much livelier dish than the usual. The surprise, the white Cannellini beans they mentioned were actually chick peas. Not sure if the menu is wrong or the kitchen figures it's the same (it's not) but it still worked in this dish. Good from the top to the bottom, bread on the side to sop up some of that sauce. Liked this a lot! Mussels were also medium sized not small, pleasant surprise since it was an appetizer. I ordered the veal osso bucco for my entree, braised 5 hours!! That sold it for me when the manager said that. It came with a plate full of cavatelli pasta. One complete dish. Everyone kept eying my entree and everyone asked for a taste. It was that good!! It was also a special that evening so in case you don't see it on the menu, that's why. It came with a mini spoon too, so I could scoop out the marrow. Heaven on a plate! The other entrees were also great: pasta primavera and the Shiitake mushrooms and shrimp pasta. See pics. Dinner was a hit! Everyone wants to return. Go figure, we found another place thankfully near me that the whole family can enjoy. Pizza was delicious!!

Best pizza in town. Try the 10" pizette but you have to eat it there to really appreciate the crisp on the impossibly thin crust.

I wasn't going to necessarily review sweetgreen in Manhasset from one trip, but after going there…read more the other day for lunch, I felt compelled to, mostly because I can't stop thinking about what I ate! Basically brand spanking new is this Northen Blvd location that I recently noticed was coming soon upon some nearby travels as I work in the area. Once I heard it had indeed ushered in its first guests, I decided to do a rare thing and head out for lunch to this bright little spot. I say bright because the windows let in plenty of sunlight and the whole place has a light-colored clean look. I honestly didn't get a long gaze at everything as I happened to hit some perfect timing by walking in right before an army of other hungry humans on their lunch break. With that last piece in mind, I also did not have a chance to peruse the food options, but luckily there was a "late fall menu" with several premade choices to choose from and so I went with the garlic parm cauli bowl. This baby had garlic parmesan cauliflower, caramelized balsamic onions, sweet potatoes, garlic breadcrumbs, wild rice, roasted romesco sauce, and creamy basil dressing all on top of a bed of kale. Wowza. What a wonderful array of flavors bursting through this bowl. I mean the real wowza might have been the size of the thing. It was massive! I'm not one to usually be unable to finish a salad such as this and it was definitely a struggle (a good struggle). What was also good (albeit great) was their seasonal apple pomegranate drink. It was cool that I could have technically tried all of the drink options as it was a self serve situation, but I stuck with one and oh was it fantastic. What was also borderline fantastic was price. I'd say a little under $20 for what I ate was well worth it. Overall, I'm now officially a sweetgreen fan (forgot to mention this was my first time trying it). The fresh tastes really clicked for me from salad bites to sips of that drink. I'd definitely like to visit again to get a better look at that menu and continue some deliciousness. With that in mind, I may just have to incorporate an occasional Sweetgreen trip into my schedule from now on!

After getting the cauliflower rice base the employee started dousing my warm bowl in salad dressing. I quickly spoke up, since I had wanted my dressing on the side, and she took the bowl and moved it under the counter to try to selectively scoop only the parts of the cauliflower with the dressing into the garbage. I could hear my bowl literally hit the side of the garbage container. It grossed me out when she then tried to use the same bowl and just scoop in a bit more cauliflower rice to replace what she'd scooped out. I politely asked for a new bowl, and the idle male employee standing next to her started making facial expressions indicating that he thought I was being unreasonable. She ended up giving me a new bowl -- but then putting almost no cauliflower rice in it to "punish" me for not wanting a bowl that had touched the side of a garbage can. Keep in mind that my warm bowl with the cauliflower rice upcharge came to over $17. I will never frequent that particular Chopt again.

BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP - NOT. I just ordered butternut squash…read moresoup at the counter - to go - but I stayed and ate at a table. It was quiet - there was only 1 other customer ordering at the time. Only problem - it was VEGETABLE soup, NOT butternut squash soup. There was no trace of butternut squash, no creamy sweet taste of butternut squash. There was a broth that resembled a typical vegetable soup, a little spicy (pepper and other spices), filled with lots of veggies (mostly corn but some potatoes and others). It was just OK - not what I wanted or expected. I asked the young lady working there what the story was. She spoke to the chef in the back and came with "this is butternut squash soup". I was here a few weeks ago, ordered the butternut squash soup and yes, it tasted like the real thing and was actually good. So what is going on? I inquired again, at which time the young lady asked the chef to come to the front, and said to the chef "the customer said that I am lying". Let's be clear - I never called the young lady a liar. Ignorance is not lying. I inquired. When I asked the chef about the soup he did not answer. Unclear if there is a language barrier, but he did not nod or respond to the question. Finally, before I left I asked the young lady to satisfy my curiousity and provide a sample of the butternut squash soup. She refused, saying "no, it is the same soup". So what is the truth? You decide. I am not going back. In the past I have had smoothies and soup there and no issues. I only wanted the truth. And by the way, the vegetable soup that I had was mediocre - not recommended. Thank you for reading this review.
