I've been at pizzerias from NYC to further east, and This specific Gino's, is amazing!! From Patsys, to John's on bleeker, to Romeo's & Gabby's, To Umberto's of New Hyde park. I can't stand Umberto's in elmont, all hype!!!This Gino's is a cut above all the nonsense that these other pizzerias are dishing out!! For some reason social media has made it easy for everyone to give their views & opinions about what's good & what's not, without having any knowledge of the business or what a slice or food should taste like!!! Even Umberto's on your block is terrible across the board. There's no way they are competition for your place!!! The ambiance here is busy, & I love the sound of plates being served & the place is just inviting, busy or not!! The food is awesome, love the Sicilian pie, made properly, with no sauce over the cheese! The sauce is good, could be better, but the dough is nice & airy! The regular is also very flavorful. Haven't had table service yet, but your lentil soup is outstanding!!!Garlic knots are also spot on... The customer service is amazing!! Everyone is kind & considerate! The counter guys are respectful & understand the concept of customer service satisfaction! The 2 middle aged gentleman are always nice & always have smiles on their faces when serving people. Keep up the good work, we will be back to sit & eat & I'm sure it will be an amazing experience..Thank you always.R

Overall, it's just a nice pizzeria restaurant serving all Italian entrées with a smile. I love the fact everything is fresh and parking is a breeze. Not much more you can ask from a pizzeria restaurant.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, and every single person from the host to the bartender to our server and everyone in between played a part in making the night feel special. The attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine kindness did not go unnoticed, and it set the tone for the entire evening. We were first greeted with warm bread and olive oil, which was absolutely delightful and the perfect start. Our server, Paulino (I hope I'm spelling his name right), guided us through the menu with such care and knowledge, which made the experience even better. We started with the mussels Bianco and baked clams both were outstanding, easily a 9/10. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, we had the branzino and a pasta dish that was nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail like freshly cracked pepper added right at the table made everything feel elevated and thoughtfully done. To end the night, I mentioned that my mom had just passed her real estate exam and that we were celebrating her. They went above and beyond by bringing out an apple crostini with a candle, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. And yes, we devoured the entire thing. It was that good. Truly a 10000/10 moment. What made this experience even more meaningful is that it came after a long, stressful day at the ER. Walking into such warmth, care, and genuine hospitality meant more than I can put into words. Thank you again for the incredible service, attentiveness, and overall experience. I truly wish I could remember everyone's names because each person we encountered was a pleasure. Please let them know my mom and I are so grateful. We dined on April 3rd around 9 PM, and it's a night we won't forget.

For dinner we had to try the margharita pizza , fried calamari & Clams Oreganata. The clams stole the show for me I recommend trying them. The place is a staple here on the North Shote and the menu is great with a great list of options but the scene is definitely the draw here for some If you expect exceptional food you're not going to be satisfied. I've been numerous times and unfortunately it seems like each time I come the food keeps falling down a notch or two or three or... Let's be honest, the scene is a bit overwhelming with its plethora of on the prowl singles at the bar at night Dont get me wrong they make some great cocktails here but I have yet to experience any real fun. The place just somehow always manages to give me anxiety. But let's talk about the food for a minute. At 30 dollars for a bowl of pasta, and with a name like Cipollini you would expect at least to be enticed by flavor since the scene isn't quite doing it for you. You'd be wrong though. It all just somehow falls flat. My fettuccini with mushrooms had the texture of cement and really the best part was the additional cheese. They tried though, I'll give them that. They must have added every mushroom in the kitchen which culminated in looking like I was eating a stew instead of pasta The penne vodka? How could you get that wrong? Nothing delicate about it But the biggest disappointed was the pizza. It wasn't terrible per se, except that it wasnt hot and the cheese seemed like it was a block placed on a piece of over cooked dough. This had the potential to be great except it just wasn't. It felt like a tease to be honest. Is it unpleasant? I wouldn't go that far, is there room for improvement? Hell yes. I could imagine what those Italian Nona's hand rolling gnocchi would say. I could hear the gasps and berating a mile away.... With the amount of customers they have waiting for tables and the apparent turnover the place isn't going to shut down, but it's a shame because it could be so much better.
