Cozy Italian dinners here are unmatched. We tried a few items from their specials, so make sure to take a look at those before ordering. They have incredible bread with garlic, appetizers, fresh pasta, and don't forget to save some room for dessert. The service was good as well.

Very cozy lovely place. The service was great. I've been going to their old location for years and I do love this new location even better. We had the special Beet Salad loaded with green apples, arugula, walnuts and goat cheese and it was very good. My old favorite is always the Stuffed Artichoke and it was delicious. The half moon shaped Ravioli special with shrimp was excellent. Already want to go back for that dish again. The Cacio Pepe, the fresh spaghetti is always the best. The Gamberie Scampi, grilled shrimp with white wine and lemon sauce is a classic. Must try the Napoleon Cake for dessert.

We enjoy a good Italian meal wIth the famiglia and Sotto Luna is just the place. We were able to get a table for us on Xmas Eve last minute reservation and the place was packed. Great food, good friendly service, comfy decor thou they def need acoustic panels ASAP in there. Affordable meal for three clocked in at around 150.00 so it's a great option for families. The dishes we ordered were well prepared and given the rush were pretty good. I rate my spots would I go there again? Definitively my neighborhood go to spot. It's a bit more elegant than the La Parma cantina and smaller than 388 -- two other excelente ristoranti on same street a few blocks apart not to mention the great takeout D'Angelos. It's right up there with my faves and a great option

Came with a friend for her retirement dinner. The best authentic Italian restaurant in this part of Nassau County. Seafood cooked perfectly. Homemade pasta. "Best Branzino I've ever had" - quote from my friend. Finished with a magnificent cappuccino and house made Napoleon. We'll definitely be back.

Sotto Luna is the perfect example of why people should give local restaurants a fair shake. Located in a strip mall sandwiched next to a CVS and Starbucks, it would be really easy to overlook this place, and that would be a mistake. The decor is clean and bright and the menu has a lot of standard Italian fare. The meal started off with some complimentary flatbread with roasted garlic (tasty) and we started out with a caesar salad (well dressed and not overdone). Entrees were good - chicken with sausages and peppers was flavorful, lasagna was delicious, meatballs were succulent. Dessert was also really good - complimentary homemade biscotti was excellent. Prices are about what you might expect for a mid-level Italian restaurant (about 20-30 bucks a pop). Service was also really good the day we went and our server was top notch. Thumbs up.

Happy to help small businesses at all times. I am glad we tried this place. The eggplant ball appetizer was amazing. Keep up the good work.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell they take pride in every detail, and that carries straight through to the food. The pizza itself is phenomenal. The crust strikes that perfect balance--crispy on the outside with just the right amount of chew inside. The sauce is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients, while the cheese is perfectly melted and generously layered without overpowering the rest of the pie. Every bite tastes fresh, balanced, and crafted with care. What really stood out was the consistency and attention to detail. Whether you're going classic or trying one of their specialty pies, the flavors are always spot on. You can tell this isn't just pizza--it's a passion. On top of that, the service is friendly, fast, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. This is the kind of place you keep coming back to--and recommend to everyone you know. Other 1/2 did not want to mess their hair! They started us off with garlic knots and bread. Both very good! We had a choice of wine, sangria, sodas or iced tea. I was driving so I passed on the alcohol. Then we got our individual pizza set ups and a lesson. It was fun! They gave us some toppings, pepperoni, mushrooms and peppers. We made our pizzas and they took them away to be cooked. We then had a choice of salad, Caesar or house. Everyone liked the salad and the dressings. We got our pizzas back in pizza boxes so we could eat some and take some home. Then they came around with a plate of cookies! The owner came over to talk to us, she said that they were planning to have pasta and mozzarella making in the future and told us about the other events that they have. Live music, bingo etc. She was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Sweet and genuine. She also showed concern about the parking situation and offered a reimbursement for the parking garage. We declined that offer, it was only a couple of dollars for the time that we spent there. If I had to be very picky the only one suggestion that I have would be that they add some basil/ oregano/garlic/pepper to the sauce or on the table, the sauce was very plain. Other than that, everything was amazing and so much fun, well worth the price that we paid ($40 pp including gratuities) for everything that we got!

This review is based off the most recent taste of their food that my friends catered. They moved into the neighborhood and hosted a meal from Spaghettini. We tried a bunch of their food, and it did not get a better rating. The best thing I had was definitely the Italian Meatballs, which were tender and quite good. However, the sauce was a bit thin. The Chicken Francaise was pretty decent too, but nothing special. Pizzas were fine, but I did not enjoy the crust on either. Rigatoni w/ Vodka Sauce and Steamed Vegetables were average. The worst was probably the Buffalo Wings. Can't imagine the rest of their menu gets much better, so I'll stick with Taglio nearby.

The strategy here is simple. You order a pie--half pepperoni, half prosciutto. The prosciutto does exactly what it needs to do, but the pepperoni is the real headline act. It curls, it crisps, and it pools just enough oil to marry perfectly with a crust that achieves that rare, holy grail combination of thin, crispy, and subtly chewy. Dozens of pies later, it's still a ritual worth repeating. Food (4/5): The thin, crispy crust is the star of the show, and the pepperoni is dialed in to perfection every single time. Customer Service (4.25/5): Sharp and efficient. Decor (3.5/5): Unpretentious and classic. It carries that timeless, red-and-white checked tablecloth energy that focuses your attention exactly where it belongs: on the pie. Price: Around $17.50 per person. It is clean, well-ran, with just enough noise to be lively and fun without being overwhelming or deafening. The kitchen layout is visible to diners and it is always fun to watch how the pizza is made while you wait (but tortorous if you're starving!) The staff is super friendly and attentive from the moment you walk in until they wave you goodbye on the way out. The pizza is OUTSTANDING. They've mastered brick-oven style pizza. The mozzarella and parmesan are always fresh, the sauce is tangy and flavorful, and the crust is TEXTBOOK. As a non-crust eater the majority of the time, I find myself reaching over to my friends plates to do clean-up. Don't overlook any of the apps or calzones either. Things are super filling, however, so I recommend just splitting an order of spinach artichoke dip for the table while you wait for your pizza to arrive. Now being of legal drinking age, I understand why my parents would want a no-kids Grimaldi date time to time. The drinks are great and the bar atmosphere is a blast. I'd recommend checking out their seasonal cocktail specials. Pro-tip: Don't shy away from order a side of vodka sauce with your margherita pizza. Getting the vodka slice just won't hit as good. Also, definitely add the garlic, chili flakes, and extra parm from the shakers on each table to your slice. You don't NEED it per se, but it certainly does take things to the next level.
