Tempura Cheesecake
Saira D.

Never disappoints. Everything I have ever tried has been delicious. The Tempura Cheesecake is incredible!

Lily L.

Fresh and very tasty. Friendly staff, great food, nice presentations. Highly recommended!

Have gone twice now the food quality, presentation, flavors are really delicious. Will definitely be going here more often.

Las Vegas roll. Advertised as Salmon, cream cheese avocado, but it's primarily imitation crab.
Justine R.

My husband says 2 stars for the Ramen but I enjoyed my sushi for the most part. Let's start sushi. Im a salmon fiend, I ordered 2 salmon rolls. There was a good amount of salmon in them but an excessive amount of rice. I tore off about half the rice from each roll. I also ordered the "Las Vegas Roll" which is advertised as "salmon, avocado, cream cheese, deep fried" that's literally my favorite fried roll combo so that's what I went for...so I get home and it's IMITATION CRAB with a small piece of salmon, sliver of avocado, and sliver of cream cheese. The roll was mostly imitation crab, which wasn't even listed as part of the roll. I try to avoid rolls with imitation crab so that was disappointing...but, it was deep fried so it still tasted good. Just not what I wanted or what I thought I ordered. Ramen. I told my husband the ramen isn't going to be amazing as it's not a legit ramen spot, but it had better reviews than the fried rice which was his second choice. He said it was a little better than top ramen, but we ordered beef with egg. There was very little beef and we were expecting a boiled egg as that is a traditional item we've received with ramen...but they put scrambled eggs in the ramen. We had a good laugh about that....I wish I took a picture lol. So yeah, the quality of the fish was on point. Very good. If you're going for straight up sushi, go for it. I'll probably try some of the no rice rolls in the future and just double check ingredients in the rolls in the future.

Nigiri tuna and salmon. Mmmmm Salmon...
Lin S.

This is such a good spot that I visit any time I'm on a trip to the area. Pros: -Expansive menu with a lot of different types of dishes -Reasonable prices for rolls and main courses -Super friendly staff -Always fresh Cons: -Can get a little expensive if you go for Nigiri, but the quality is great

Volcano Roll and Amazing Mark

Went here for the first time and had a great experience. The quality of the sushi and artistic touch was phenomenal. Mark is a very talented chef who pays close attention to detail. We had great service as well. I'm so happy we discovered this little hidden gem!

The food was amazing, good for a family. The Korean sashimi rice was really good. Thumbs up!!

Torch seared yellowtail belly

The sushi here is the best in town in terms of quality of fish and preparation for sure. Mark is a great sushi chef! I have the other things here like the fried rice, yakisoba, hot stone bowls. They're ok, but if you come here come for the sushi! I asked Mark to torch my nigiri and it made it so flavorful

Had the rainbow roll. Wasn't great. The rice seemed sweet or something. Service was fine.

But the atmosphere and decor inside is so great. The food is really fresh. I'm very picky about sushi. As everyone should be! The fish is melt in your mouth delicious. Both times we've been there. We were served by the greatest waitress. I do wanna say each person on their staff that we talk to was very friendly and helpful! Our server though was the best! We caught her name this time.... Next time you're in there ask for Rachael! Tell her Alia Rachael sent you... she'll get a real kick out of it. I drive up on the weekends from Los Angeles to visit my boyfriend. Lompoc is a hard place to find quality food. And most of the inside of the restaurants here look like people have temporarily moved in. There's some breakout places that have outstanding food.... But we've had some weird service. It's rarely both in one place. We will be back too have sushi here often. I also come from a background in the restaurant/bar/management industry. It's really refreshing to be served by people who are genuine and you can tell sincerely like being in the food industry. Trying to find pictures from the last time we there so I can edit this post.... But in the meantime, didn't wanna miss the opportunity to Push people to go try this if you haven't. PS we were in there fairly late on a rainy Saturday night. I imagine they had more business earlier but when we were there, it was getting close to closing time not a lot of people and we still had top-tier service.... And beautifully presented and prepared food.

I'm not sure how long this little hidden gem has been open but I'm upset that I have not tried this…read moresooner. Hands down best gyoza I have ever had. It is just how I like it. The chicken bento box is also unlike any other fried chicken I've ever had. You can tell it is homemade and the spices set it apart from any other fried chicken around town. This also happens to be where I discovered my favorite boba tea. This has instantly become my favorite gyoza/boba restaurant. The portions are very generous and you will not be disappointed with the quality of food here.

I have no idea how this place has more than 2 stars. I have…read moretwo littles and decided to stop by on our way home rather than go to the other side of town to our usual spot. At first impression I should have known- it was lunch time and empty- you have to self order and navigate their kiosk- no help with two kids and still ask for a tip. There was one younger girl with dark hair in the cluttered kitchen/drink area who didn't even acknowledge us- just went to the back and started rummaging. A second lady showed up and started preparing our sushi order. At that point I noticed the dirty tables and lack of service so decided to change my order "to go." I stood there trying to get their attention and was finally acknowledged. The lady who seemed to be in charge was handing out cash to another younger lady who came in (weird asf too). I finally get my order and bring it home. The nigiri was poorly cut- but edible. My poke bowl had a small amount of tuna that tasted sour and has signs of cooking through citrus, imitation crab, and seaweed salad (extra cost), then I see a whole romaine end, browning and cut up under that making the bulk of the bowl, followed by rice. Nothing like the picture at the kiosk. Then as I try to mix things up for a bite (I am starving at this point) I see a dark black hair. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and unable to eat my food. I called to let them know and the younger lady who was there said she would let the owner know after sitting down and looking at all the food that was wasted. I decided to call back and ask for a refund. At that point, the younger lady kept repeating what I was saying, as she was relaying the information to what sounded like to be the owner. She told her to tell me that I needed to go back with the food. I let her know that I was unable to do that right now as I had two little kids who needed to nap- that's why I came home. She said she couldn't do a refund- until I went there with the food and my card. I was also told to refrigerate this food- are they going to use it?!? Smh. Ultimately I am out $40, and no lunch. I will never return or recommend to anyone. I'm thinking the reviews are for the teas- which I didn't try.

After my second order I left especially because while delicious it still felt overpriced especially for a very causal environment with a TV playing sports. I would get takeout next time and eat at a nearby vista point.
