    Beef Spicy Haru Ramen
    Diana N.

Ramen here is delicious, we've tried about four different types and they've all been delicious, good portions as well. Lots of toppings included. We've tried their sushi as well and the flavor is always good, they're fast too. Waiters have been different just about every time we've gone but every waiter has been attentive and helpful. The plaza it's located in is a little dark at night and there's not a lot of outside lighting and the spot is sandwiched in between many other stores but their door is always open so you can see inside. We love this place!

The sushi was pretty good size pieces but I found little bones in the fish not sure if that's normal I have never had that with sushi. I tried the ramen the broth needed more flavor and the meat in it tasted dry also the noodles still seemed undercooked. The bobas are really tasty and a good size and price. The waitress was so nice and provided excellent customer service. Overall it's ok the bobas I highly recommend.

I've had this place 2x first was delivery ordered a quick lunch - crunch roll and pork katsu. Crunch roll - just like a California with crunchy bits which came with wasabi and pickled ginger, pork katsu was fried well, crispy but cold since delivered (door dash). This time ordered to go: chirashi, pink lady, Thai tea boba, and a pink lady. Food was ready for pick up within 20 min! The host was friendly at the door, and got my order quickly. Presentation of the food is great! The Thai tea was sweet and velvety. Portions are a good size, and they do not skimp. The pink lady is refreshing and the cream cheese added was a good call! I do love a riceless roll! Shoyu ramen was tasty and the perfectly boiled seasoned egg on ramen yes!!! * chefs kiss! Personally i'm not a shoyu fan since it's too sweet for me but it was good. I'm definitely going to have to try the other ramens next time around.

    Chicken Ramen Soup

I placed the order via Doordash but driver explained that contents leaked, when she opened the bag it looked like the 2 lids that the extra soup had exploded. Only thing I can figure was that the soup was extra hot and the lids being thin cracked and forced the liquid out into the bag. The Doordash associate reported it and they sent another order. With the 2nd order everything looked great, the chicken was a little tough, I mixed the vegetables and I just couldn't get that ramen soup taste. Veggies were good, noodles were okay, but just wasn't great, maybe I needed to eat it at the restaurant. Will have to check out the other meals they have.

Good food, good service. enjoy a nice little dinner I would definitely recommend this place for good peaceful quiet dinner.

My partner wanted to have dinner here. I had been craving sushi and was excited to try a new spot. We ordered a few rolls as well as ramen. The service was very awkward but friendly and well-meaning overall. Once the food arrived, I realized that while the specialty rolls were rather large, they all had "California roll" imitation crab filling as opposed to sashimi like the majority of other sushi restaurants I've ever patronized. I should have read the menu more carefully. Overall, the rolls were pretty good but I would've enjoyed a bit more sashimi. The ramen unfortunately didn't do it for me. The bowl was only lukewarm and flavors just didn't seem very authentic. I would probably opt out to do take out next time and skip the soup.

It's been awhile since I have tried this place again and it has definitely gotten SO MUCH BETTER. AMBIENCE: cleaner tables and surroundings. The lighting is much better and does not feel so close and tight. Not too loud when I visited. FOOD: we got pretty basic things but it was good! Condiments such as wasabi/ginger or spicy mayo I believe are just served per request. When we asked, they provided immediately with no problems. We got the 911 roll, funky monkey and spicy scallop roll. All 3 were supposed to be spicy but they were not (this wasn't a problem though). I'm sure if you asked extra spicy they will accommodate that. The food presentation was great and neat but most importantly tasted really well. They serve ramen, lunch specials (bowls/bentos), classic sushi rolls, signature rolls, boba and plenty more! Price range: $5-$30 and for a sushi spot that's cheap but the quality is not an issue. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back :)

Very tender and well seasoned Chashu!

Great food and service, this is my favorite place in Santa Maria for Ramen and sushi.

Great food, great service. A little hole in the wall place, beautiful interior and really cozy. Worth the stop for lunch. Gerthy approved

    Hot night and honeymoon roll

The ramen was good but the sushi was mediocre. The rolls were big but mostly rice and the rice just tasted like rice. Not like sushi rice. I'd say rice and fish is what makes the sushi really good. Here the fish quality was ok but that was about it. Not very flavorful. We didn't finish either roll we ordered and we definitely did not want to take the leftovers home. Better off getting sushi from the grocery store.

My leftovers. No way could I have eaten all that by myself.

Another great meal here. This place is different, but just as great, as the original Atari-Ya. It's really nice to know that I can go out to sushi and have a really great meal!

Shrimp Tempera Crunch Roll turn out to be 1 old small shrimp and cream filling. That's all ..they poured crunch topping with a shovel.

Worst Shrimp tempura crunch roll ever. Never ever ordering from them again. Waiting 40 min when they said 10 min.

Food was great and delicious. Service was great. We didn't wait long for our food either. Highly recommend their ramen!

Disappointing. We had ramen, which was supposed to very good per other reviews. The broth was ok, but the noodles weren't.

A true hidden gem and super underrated restaurant!…read more The hubby raved about this place, but I have only tried the takeout food, even tho they were good, I wanted to wait until I got the full dining in experience to write them a review. So glad I finally got to check them out in person! The inside looks simple, but makes you feel like you have stepped foot into a little piece of Japan, except it's much more spacious than most restaurants in Japan lol. Their menu is simple and might be a shock to some people that they offer only a few basic rolls. However, their main star here is the japanese entrees and meal set. I opted for the Masa Gozen both time for to go and here. The portion is hugeeee! It comes with several different vegetable sides, a large order of tempura, 2 pieces of gyoza, and miso soup. It's more than enough to get full from, but of course my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, so I had to order several appetizers to share with my husband and toddler. Highly recommend the sashimi salad! For the amount of food and the quality, I can't believe how cheap everything is. My Masa Gozen was less than $25 before tax. Excellent food and bang for your bucks! I really hope they continue to strive and flourish. If they start offering more sushi rolls options on the menu, it'd definitely help attract more customers!

That's when things went downhill. The sushi menu is surprisingly small, almost like an afterthought at a Japanese restaurant. But the real frustration was ordering. Large Kirin Light? Don't have it. Salmon skin roll? No salmon skin anymore. At this point I wanted to ask what they do have and work backwards from there. If half your menu isn't available, update the menu. When the food finally arrived--25 minutes later, and we were one of two tables on a Friday night--it was underwhelming. I normally go multiple rounds on sushi; here I was done after one. Small portions, nothing special. The cleanliness was also an issue. Look around and you'll notice a film of dust on pretty much everything. It doesn't feel like anyone wipes the place down regularly. The final insult? They don't take American Express. I honestly can't remember the last time I encountered that. It just feels cheap. Being one of two tables on a Friday night should have been our first clue. There are much better options in the area--go find one of them.

I should've split it with my friend as we both struggled to get through half of each of our bento orders. The bento comes with salad, steamed rice, miso soup, mixed tempura, and 4 pieces of a California roll. Luckily, the server had given our order packed to-go so I could easily take it back to the hotel and stick the leftovers in the fridge. They have some seating indoors, but you can grab a table inside the mall if you're meeting up with others grabbing food from another eatery. They're also right by one of the entrances from the parking structure, so not too hard to find.

I got the veggie ramen and burned my tongue. I was pissed but also happy that the ramen was hot and fresh. The broth was not too salty and just right. I also got the generic ice cream macaroons ramen places like these have. It was good. I liked the playlist most of all. It was a bunch of 2010s pop music. It really brought me back to my youth. Solid establishment. The waitresses were nice too, they made sure to check up on me from time to time without being too overwhelming or overbearing. I enjoyed it overall. Recommend.
