I went to Carson Floor & Decor to redesign my guest bathroom and BABYYYY... this place had me in a…read morefull design chokehold. Rows and rows of gorgeous tile -- I was overwhelmed, over-stimulated, and emotionally attached to at least 37 options. I was so stuck I almost needed a wellness check But shoutout to Clint at the door -- he was AMAZING. Super friendly, patient, and literally showed me a way out because I had no clue what I was doing anymore. He suggested I come back and get scheduled with one of their designers, and honestly... thank God. If you love beautiful tile and poor decision-making under pressure, this is the place. 10/10 -- I'm definitely coming back. Send help

Service: All the staff at this Carson location have been helpful and friendly. They have assisted me in special orders, returns, and pick up of selection. Selection: This Floor and Decor has a great selection of tile, flooring materials, construction supplies, bathroom vanities, and various other construction materials. The tile selection is really awesome when we did both of our bathroom remodels. The 48"x48" tiles were perfect to minimize my grout lines and give my floors and wall a smooth finish. The back splash tile for my kitchen also made it look nice and welcoming. You will be able to find your style here at Floor and Decor Carson. Value: I got my back splash tile for $1.29 per tile, over ordered by 4 boxes, and the staff refunded me with no issues. The 4x4 were a bit more ($84 per tile) but worth it. The delivery fee is decent and not wholly unreasonable but if you pay for the service they will be great at exchanging any broken tile.

Tucked in a rather un-happening part of town, this furniture place actually has a lot to offer. The…read moreInglewood address might deter some shoppers from visiting this warehouse. But rest assure, this part of town isn't that bad. Legend of Asia is run by Andy and Tony. Two rather soft-spoken Chinese businessmen (both originally from Beijing but settled here). Between them they have more than 10 years of knowledge on buying/selling Chinese furnitures. The 12000 square feet warehouse contains some of the most crafted reproduction pieces I have seen. Once in a while though, Tony brings in a few vintage pieces. A vintage piece is estimated to be less than 100 years old. The Chinese government is very strict about exporting antiques. So if any furniture dealers tell you that they can import Chinese antiques out of China, do your research first. There's nothing wrong buying reproductions when the real furnitures or Chinese ceramics cost an arm and a leg. Just visit Sotheby's website and click under Chinese art and ceramic. Pick any Qing or Ming pieces and you will know what I mean. At the end of the day you want to decorate the room with a tint of Chinese art and not fear that the pieces will be knocked over by pesty neighbor's kids. Now there is a difference between the reproductions that Legend of Asia sells and the rest out there. LA's has a factory full of qualified craftsmen located nearer to Beijing. A majority of what claims to be good Chinese reproductions sold in places like Crate and Barrel, Barneys NY, HD Buttercup and even Target are from a factory in Ning Bo, Zhe Jiang province in China. I have invested some time examining the difference in craftmanship and quality. Gosh, I even bought a piece that was made in NingBo from HD Buttercup. The furniture is light and rather "hollow" The hinges are rough and as if assembled by a untrained craftsman. The other tip when shopping for quality Chinese reproduction furnitures is traditionally Chinese furnitures are assembled through a clever and intricate design of joints. No nails, glue, wood screws are used. This is a fact. Most of the designs you see out there are influenced by Ming dynasty furnitures. This period of furnitures are well-known for its simplicity in design, although the actual material used back then was top-notch wood like ZiDan and Huanghuali. Qing dynasty furnitures have more floral, dragon/phoenix motifs alike. If you ever visit, spend time looking through every piece they have in the showroom.

This shop has a very cool vibe. It looks small from the outside, but it's a long store. It feels…read morelike it must have been a house at one time with all the separated, small rooms. It even has an outdoor area that could have been a backyard. When I first walked in, it felt like I was stepping back into the '70's. A lot of brown and orange hues. Once you pass the front counter on your left, you feel like you're stepping into someone's living room. There's a couch, coffee table, dial television set, and the record player is blasting '70's music from their collection of vinyl. The first room on the left sells clothes, plants, etc. The second small room next to it has a large picture of KISS plastered on the walls, between the selection of boots and jackets. If you keep walking towards the back, there's a room to your right where the record player is. After exiting that room, you walk into the main room and a large selection of vinyl for sale near the back. They sell used and new merchandise. Everything from used clothes to new jewelry, paintings, artwork, and everything in between. Like I said, there's a large outdoor patio where they sell patio furniture, pots, plants and other outdoor decoration. There is really a lot to take in, and everything is affordable. I saw something I liked that cost $9.50, but I asked myself where I was going to put it. The gal at the front counter was friendly. They take Apple Pay. Parking: Plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood.

Jewelry, yup. You want trinkets, they've have it. You want truly unique art items, they have them, as well. You want an incredible selection of vintage LPs, they offer it. They have a little bit of everything, and it is all truly curated and unique. Located on Orange Avenue, in the Eastern section of Long Beach California, this business is a little bit off of the beaten path. It's actually a truly unique neighborhood. Though it's basically a residential area, there's a number of unique businesses right around Goods on Orange. So, you can easily grab a meal, or a coffee, or a little bit of something else once you come to the area this business is located within. Once inside, you are overwhelmed with a plethora of all kinds of everything. It's truly a visual experience to walk into this business. They have a lot of great everything. I can't say that enough, because you truly never know what you are going to find when you go in. The staff here are all super nice, so if you have any questions, they're happy to help you out with whatever they can. In terms of pricing, they're very fair. Sure, you can maybe find cheaper prices at a thrift store. But, at a thrift shop you're never guaranteed that you're will find the best of the best like is available at this business. And, that's what this shop offers, the best of the best. In terms of parking, street parking is your best bet. On weekends, you may have to walk a little bit, because, as stated, there is a number of other businesses directly surrounding Goods on Orange. But, it's a good way to get your steps in. Overall, if you're looking for that unique gift, that special something for yourself, or that something you never knew you needed, this is a great place to find it.
