The barbers are very friendly, and the shop although small is neat and clean. My first visit I chose Josh at random to cut my hair, which proved to be an excellent decision. He is very courteous and professional. Josh is meticulous in cutting my hair and makes sure that I am satisfied with my haircut. I was a walk in the first two times that I visited the shop, and was able to get Josh's service both times. He gave me his phone number at my last visit so that we could schedule service times that would be covenient for both of us, He will be my barber of choice for as long as possible, however I would be comfortable having any of the barbers at Carribean barbers cutting my hair, I highly recommend Carribean barbers to anyone looking for good service. However, they have made great changes and arrangements at Blue Spark to deal with COVID. - Appointments are now 1 hour, which allows them ample time to do clean up. I chatted for a while after my cut and they were VERY thorough with clean-up. Absolutely everything was sprayed down, even clippers that I don't think he used. - Seats are spaced 3 apart, so basically they are using Steve's seat and Bill's seat, at least when I was there. - While I was there, I was the only customer in the place. I think if they both had appointments it would have just been 2 customers. There is a rule of only 1 client per barber at a time in the shop, so I waited outside until he came out. The next guy came in right at 4. - Everyone wore masks the whole time. When he needed to do my sideburns he just asked me to take it off my ear and hold it on my cheek. No problem, just took a minute. While I miss the great banter Blue Spark is known for, that will be back one day. We just need to abide for a while and support them so that they are still around when COVID is over.

The location is convenient to the Baltimore and surrounding areas and even if there's no parking right outside, there are plenty of free spots close by. I especially like the ease of scheduling an appointment via the app and the transparency of prices and services on the website. Actually, I prefer scheduling online so I don't have to call. I mean, who makes phone calls anyway? Mr. Walker was my barber and I was extremely pleased. Got compliments on the haircut and shape up for a week afterwards. He took his time, made sure he understood what I wanted and communicated what he was doing since I was a new customer. His prices are very very reasonable as well, and even if they were a little higher, do you really want to haggle over a few dollars when it comes to your appearance? Oh, and there are outlets to charge your mobile devices. Just don't make the rest of us regret that by using your phone while in there. Cons: Street parking but that's not really a con. It's just a busy street so tuck that side mirror in or park a block away and walk up. I haven't been there with more than one barber so I guess if it were a busy day it can get crowded but that's not a deterrent for me. No walk ins accepted so plan ahead. Oh, you have to have a credit card on file to make an appointment so while I don't mind this policy, just be aware. Overall: Very impressed with the cleanliness of the shop, Mr. Walker's professionalism and demeanor, and the service for the price. I found my new barber. May seem like I'm just raving over one cut (and I am), but comimg from someone who has not gotten a haircut from a different person in 20 years, I am thrilled to find someone who understands my hair. Yes, it's just hair that will grow back, but of rather not go bald to start over from a bad cut. Although I'd rock it, if rather not...yet.
