Highly recommend UP. Great program and great trainers. Ask for Niko as your trainer, he's fantastic, very supportive and goal-oriented.

This place isn't like other gyms. It's all about results. Their advertisements don't lie. The sole focus is helping you achieve your goals.

Fit360 is a great model of a community gym -- the staff is friendly, the owner is a local, and fellow gym goers are courteous. I am someone who benefits from classes to help me push myself and I especially love their lift classes, which are typically small (under 10 people) and mixed gender, with varying levels for each station based on your fitness and expertise. Jonathan and Nino both do a great job as instructors helping with form and technique. This year I also added in some personal training with Kwame and it has been fantastic so far. So glad this gym is part of my community.

I'm actually paying for a separate Nutritionist who I visit about every month. I started here about two months ago, and I've been much more committed this time around. It's even more motivational that the gym.is located literally across the street from my apartment. It's a decent gym and they have almost everything that I need, minus the abs machine. I do have the Gold membership and I think that it's a good fit for me since I rarely have ever participated in any type of gym class. They do offered the classes here, and I've seen a number of people leaving from a class. I appreciate that the gym is available for whenever I need it, and even more importantly that they're located so close to me.

I have been coached by professional trainers for the majority of that time, including D1 and Olympic coaches. I am happy to report that the entire team at Ambitious has kept me engaged, supported, and challenged the whole time. This is not only true of the coaching, but of the other members as well. At this point, they are friends. The workouts are programmed in a way that keeps me pushing myself while letting me scale back when needed. The coaching staff is always there to ensure form is solid or to offer an alternative if my body isn't 100% there that morning. Having worked with many strength coaches over the last 15 years, I am confident in saying that your well-being and safety are their top concern. This is coming from a former springboard and platform diving coach, whose first concern always had to be safety. On the member side, or team, as I like to think of them, I cannot say enough positive things. If I am out unexpectedly, people reach out to make sure I am okay. Everyone is there to see everyone get better, which brings incredible accountability. As someone who is not a morning person by any measure, I get myself out of bed for the 7:15 class willingly. 7:15 vs. the world. This has been a wonderful, impactful year with Ambitious. I am happy to keep life as my sport.

I'm not being a b_t_ch, I've reported these things to one trainer and the front desk. Not one person writes anything down and advises they'll let "someone" know. This has been quite routine over the years; that is, no reporting mechanism for what's broke.

I attended a BodyPump class, which was amazing! The bathrooms are clean and modern; however, the only downside to this gym is that it's very dark inside since it is built three stories underground. I signed up for the one week trial and had a great time! I was only able to attend four classes,…read morebut enjoyed each one. The instructors were really helpful and gave me some modification options. It would probably help to have some background knowledge of common lifts, but the instructors show the movements and they play on video screens if you need it. Everyone attending was generally in their own zone, so there isn't a lot of chatting because you really focus on getting the exercises done in the set times. I will say that the classes go by super quickly because you're always moving. Cons: The programming is set for the whole month. So each day of the week has its set program and you do that each week for the whole month. For me, this would get old (I really need variety). On the plus side, it does mean you get to see active gains throughout the month. The membership plan is a little pricey. I get why it costs so much, since they do have to cover rent and you only really attend during the class sessions. It isn't a type of gym where you just drop in when you want to use certain equipment. The unlimited monthly membership is $299, but in reality you are getting 30 or 31 classes depending on the month. Since the classes are the same all day, it is unlikely you would do two classes in a day, right? So the pricing is about $10/class if you do the unlimited monthly pass and you go every day. Some of the equipment was pretty smelly. I was at one station that honestly made me gag a little... I think the bench or maybe the dumbells had never been thoroughly cleaned with a bleach solution.

This gym charges way above market rate for a luxury gym. Don't get me wrong - the gym has super nice equipment, great staff, a cold plunge (very small though), and a hot tub. My issue with this location is for the price that you pay, I would expect the following three things: 1. A nice pool - for the price, I would expect at least an indoor lap pool and even an outdoor rooftop pool. For a lifetime that is supposed to be the highest tier, it should have all of the bells and whistles. 2. Less people at the gym: It is crazy how packed this gym gets. I understand that the location is central in Clarendon but you shouldn't have to wait for equipment when you're paying hundreds of dollars a month. 3. Multiple sport courts: For the price you pay, you should be getting full scale courts such as pickleball, basketball, tennis, etc. This gym should be a luxury club with full scale amenities. Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who used to be a Lifetime member, and I have been to 5+ Lifetime locations including ones in the same tier as Clarendon. I remember I paid way less and had the luxury of a pool/never having to wait for equipment.
