I just got dip nails taken off here and the acetone or whatever to soak it in was left on my fingers covering my entire fingers. The nails are not completely clean of the dip powder either on the cuticle and nail walls. Wouldn't recommend. Steven did my nails. read more

On my very first trip to Gallatin due to us sponsoring a charity event, I ventured out to run some errands and literally ran into Ultimate Nails and Spa when I was driving around in this unfamiliar area. Nestled in a tidy new shopping area, this place is professional, efficient, clean, and the prices are very inexpensive! No appointment is needed as I just moseyed in on a Saturday morning. Very over priced for what you get!!! Nails with tip and one color of dip powder is $55 and they don't even look good. Some of the workers are nice but the owner is rude. When you walk in nobody welcomes you or even tells you what to do. They just give you a color thing to pick your color. They don't really ask you what you want they just do it. They ask you if you want short nails and they just cut them all the way down without making sure you like the length. They are tough with your nails. The first time I went here they tore up my cuticles but there excuse was that I had to much extra skin. Just don't go here please. Save your money and your cuticles. read more

I walked in and there were 2 people waiting. I was not greeted. I stood at the front desk until I was acknowledged, which was about a couple of minutes later. I did not get any type of friendly vibe whatsoever. I was told "Sign in." No greeting. No "Hi, how are you? How can I help you?" Nothing of that sort. I did not sign in but instead asked how long the wait would be. Instead of being given an estimate, the young lady said "You have 2 people ahead of you" as if I could not clearly see that. However, 2 people ahead of me did not give me an estimate of how long it would be before I was seen. I had no idea what services they needed. I turned and asked each woman waiting how long she had been there. One said she had been waiting about 15 minutes and the other about half an hour. Excuse me if I put you out today.... I went today, been going here for several months, as does 3 other members of my family. After a 20 minute or so wait, a gentleman escorted me to a pedi station and looked at my feet and then looked at me and said $50 (twice the listed basic price, though I usually get the $35 Deluxe). I asked him why and he said "very hard work". I said screw you, I really don't want to put you out. I've been getting pedicures every 4-6 weeks for the last five years and nobody has ever attempted to treat me that way. I hope it is worth losing 4 customers over! read more

Very disappointed today. I have been using this establishment for several years and never had this type of experience. Last Thursday I made a 10 am appointment for today for a pedicure. Wore my mask in, signed in, picked my nail color and was never acknowledged. The three people ahead of me went back (only one was a pedicure other manicures). Couple people came in after me and taken back for manicures (didn't think nothing about it because they were getting a different service). Still not acknowledged. Then a 10:30 pedicure appointment came in and about five minutes later she was asked what she was there for (after I had waited 35 minutes with no one asking me what I was there for). I spoke up and said I am also here for a pedicure appointment for 10 am. About 10:45-10:50 they take me and the 10:30 appointment back to sit in the chairs with no water or no techs for another 20 minutes. Finally someone comes up to 10:30 appointment (not me), at this time I spoke up that I have been here waiting since 10 am. The tech apologized and was nice but good grief guys. I know you are busy and I know there is pandemic out there(I am a nurse and work in it). I was very patient but eventually felt ignored and disregarded. read more

I was there today only because the regular place I go to is not open on Sunday's. This was the most painful pedicure I have ever had. From the moment I sat down the water was too cold I asked 3 times for it to be warmed up and it remained the same temperature everytime, the man was EXTREMELY rough with my toes I get a pedicure every two weeks and my feet are never bad because I'm always in socks and tennis shoes, so the dead skin was not bad, only the heels, when he was done removing dead skin he buffed out my feet with the scrubber and scrubbed my TOES top and bottom for a good 3 minutes may I repeat again he was very ROUGH, at this point I thought I was going to cry I had told him It hurt and i wanted him to go to the next foot and just stop with the left one so he did. Then he went BACK to the left foot and scrubbed my TOES some more after I had already complained. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would the one star would only be for the good painting job he did on my toes after all that's the only good thing I got out of it. read more

According to the reviews I checked after leaving this sham of a nail salon, the service is definitely hit or miss. My visit was definitely a huge miss. First off, an older lady named Tina was assigned to do my pedicure. I called before going in to ask regading their pedicure prices. I decided on the $25 pedicure. Even after that Tina handed me a price/service card and kept pointing to the $35 pedicure. I replied no, I only want the $25. It took her 15-20 minutes to get started with me. She seem very preoccupied with non sensible activities like washing out a foot bowl for 10 minutes and walking around and asking the female manager, I believe how to do my toenails. I honestly should have got up and left then. My pedicure was more then horrible and looks like a 4 year old painted my toenails. There was nothing relaxing or luxurious about this service. Tina should NOT be doing nails as her handiwork is lacking in skill. She did not speak decent English and didn't really understand my questions. Once she started, I couldnt wait for her to finish this slop job so I could just pay and leave. When I went to pay she had the audacity to say I owe $35. She tried to argue with me but I was firm in saying, no I'm only paying $25. She thought she was being slick. My pedicure wasn't even worth $2. I wasted $25. There was no way she was getting a tip and I normally tip well when the service deserves it. I give them less than 0 stars. read more

This the second time I've come here and was discriminated! When I walked in and after waiting over 30 min, a older man asked "What you here for"? I replied " pedicure/pink and white fill in" then he goes to say "you have to wait a min".. So finally after another 15 minutes another man came and said "we're ready for you". While I was getting a pedi, I noticed another lady (Caucasian) came in sat down in the pedicure chair and was greeted with a smile and excellent customer service from the same older man that greeted me. I am honestly shocked that Ultimate Nails has received any bad reviews. I have been a regular for almost a year now. Rose knows every customer by name and almost every color they prefer. Danny will always have you laughing and listens to exactly what you need. Tony is hands down the best at what he does and I couldn't imagine going to anyone else now. They all take their time and are absolutely meticulous at what they do. I even got a Christmas present from Rose and Danny. Such a horrible experience here. One lady who does the pedicures could not be bothered to do a good job. She was super messy with the pedicure and when I asked if she could remove some of the nail polish that was on my skin she made annoyed sighs and acted like it was inconveniencing her. Pedicure was not worth the money. Next, I wanted a gel manicure to match my toes. I kept asking for the matching color to the OPI on my toes, but they kept giving me another brands colors saying "these are better." Like, no, I want the actual corresponding color. But whatever I pick another color. The guy that gets assigned to do my nails is not even paying attention to me. He's watching some video on his phone and not even looking at my nails. That wasn't great. Next he starts to use an instrument to put down my cuticles. He was being so rough and it was hurting so I asked if he could be a little more gentle. He said sorry. Then he was cleaning on the underside of my nail with another instrument and he jammed it under my nail into the skin so hard that it's still hurting. At this point I'm beyond annoyed that I tell him I don't want color anymore just the manicure. I'm also with my mother who's getting the same services and nails look even worse than mine. So we tell the owner about our grievances and she could care less. I get my nails done at other places 2x monthly and know quality work . I came here as part of an outing with my mother. This is the first and last time I will come here. I don't recommend this place at all yo anyone unless you like bad quality work. read more

Will never go back to this salon. Had been a customer over a year..acrylic over tips...gel polish..recent dips. Also pedicures as needed. Always need acrylic on both big toes due to damage from fungus in the past. Went in this last time and when asked, I told Danny I wanted a pedicure with acrylic on 2 big toes and a new dip. Pedicure started and when it was time for polish the girl started to add a tip to the nail. I stopped her and said no..need acrylic first. She told me that Danny said they were too busy and did not have time to do the acrylic..I would have to get the tips and dip over them. Rose not there. Naturally I was upset and made a comment...oh really! I did not want to vent to the girl that was doing the pedicure so I let her finish. Toes look horrible. Big dip across nail where tip attached. Not to mention how uncomfortable it was to have her bend my toe down into the dip powder. I realize now I should have got up and left instead of allowing the tip process. And Danny and the other young guy now doing acrylic finishes up and were walking around..but they did not have TIME to do what I needed..something that would have taken about 10 min! I was not trying to rush them at all and never even asked how long it would take when I was first asked what I wanted. Why did Danny not tell me at that time they would not be able to do what I had asked for????. I will never go back there and do not recommend them to anyone that might be looking for a new salon! This was not my first time to have problems there. I once made an appointment with Rose and when I arrived she had left for the day. Pedicures given by the older lady are terrible as well. Very little shaping and trimming around cuticle and no massaging legs..I had avoided her for a while. Tried to overlook these things but this was the last straw! Rose is great! I came in the end of June with my 7 yr old for her first mommy/daughter nail day. They were super sweet and accommodating of her being young and trying to give her the ultimate experience. While we were there Rose did my nails and I was just going to get acrylics but Rose also offered the option of dip powder first and explained why it was better for your nails. Let me just say dip powder has allowed me to have the best nails (strength/length) I think I have ever had. I have since had the dip powder manicure 4 times (it lasts me 3-4 weeks, color doesn't lift or fade, nails don't chip). I am so glad she introduced me to this option! Also the last time I was here I wasnt quite sold on the color I had picked once it was on (lighter than I expected) and Rose offered several times to fix it to my liking. If you are a repeat customer here they will remember and greet you by name and genuinely appreciate your business. This is the only place I will go to have my nails done. read more

They overcharged me for a pink and white fill in. The price board listed 35.00 and I was charged 45.00. When I got home I called and asked how much a pink and white fill in cost and they said 35.00. I told the lady I was charged 45.00. After they talked among themselves, she came back and said 45.00 because they put clear gel polish on my nails. Would give them zero stars if I could ... Just moved here and got my nails filled a week and a half ago. My nails started peeling up and breaking off way sooner than they should have. So I went back to give them a second chance, was told I needed a new set. I agreed and they began to take off my old set. It was a horrible experience, I've had acrylic sets taken off before but this wS by far the worst. My nails killed and all I wanted to do was get out of there. I don't care to listen to you talk on the phone to Michael about about taking you to downtown Gallatin (you'll pay him $25 to do so) so that you can pawn something until payday tomorrow. This is definitely my last visit. I do not work in an industry that is conducive to keeping beautiful nails. When I get my nails done it is a luxury. I am not ignorant of the process, the different types of polishes, etc. Since I don't get them done regularly I wanted to confirm the price before starting. And that's where it all fell apart. The girl was making it up as she went. The quote went from $35, $40, $45, $25. I didn't really have any problem with the price. I was willing to pay, but i felt like she was trying to take advantage of my inexperience. Finally another woman came over, looked at my nails, said they were in good shape and she would do the manicure for $30 which I agreed to. BUT what I really got was a $30 polish and all of my nails clipped waaaaay shorter than I asked. Why chop off nails down to the very edge for a French manicure?? After the price negotiations it was quite evident that they were ticked off. They were extremely rough, rude, and aggressively handled my hands. I was in and out in maybe 15 including the price haggling ordeal. In the short time I was in there I overheard 2 other costumers complaining about the quality and the price. Keeping our fingers crossed that my wife and I don't get sick! Went for pedicures two days ago. We noticed that none of the tools/instruments were wrapped first off. Its not my wife's normal place and I only get a pedi every 6 mos so i took us there cause we were close. Very rough pedi for me, and she made me bleed, but thats only the beginning. So when we were finished and sitting at the drying station my wife noticed that the lady who did my pedi was running the tools under the water out of the sink, she then proceeded to return them to the same dirty tray that was used for my pedi. Mean while another lady and her grand daughter were taking our chairs that we just sat in to get their pedis. They used the same tools on them with only washing off in a sink!!! No sterilization whats so ever! I am now wondering if my wife and I were done with the same dirty tools. No one went to the Autoclave to get any tools the entire time we were in there! Absolutely disgusting place and just hoping that we don't get sick or worse! read more
