Warning BEWARE of this company, Ultimate Mobile Gaming and the owner Matt Elder. I booked, paid for and got a confirmation email on 8/4/15 for my son's 9th birthday party on 9/19/15, from 2p-4p with the $25 additional outside TV package. The day of the party, 9/19/15 I got a call at 10a.m. from his wife (Melinda) saying the truck I booked and paid for with the outside package wasn't available due to a booking conflict so I couldn't have it, they could only offer the smaller truck with no outside capabilities. I was upset, but still happy my son and his 26 friends still would have a video game truck. The driver called me 15 minutes before he was supposed to arrive saying they left the first party late and wouldnt be arriving until 30 minutes later, which took time away from my booked 2p-4p party. The owner Matt Elder showed up, immediately had a attitude and was yelling at the 9 and 10 years olds for being excited and running up to the truck, "You all back away now!" The excited kids got into the truck at 2:20p, and five minutes later the generator died and all the kids came out. Matt again yelled at the kids for standing around while he tried to fix the problem, "I don't need a audience right now, back away!" Matt wasn't able to fix it, I asked him if he could send another truck, he said there was none available. He said he had guns and could turn it into a laser tag party, I asked would I get a full refund for the video game party, he laughed and said, "Not if I turn it into a laser tag party, you will be reimbursed the difference. The kids wanted something if not video games but all he had was 12 guns for 26 kids. He said, "Look, this problem is going to cost me $10,000.00 if not more to fix, I have other parties to be at, what do you want me to do?" I asked for my refund and he said I would have it by 9/22/15. This was a HORRIBLE experience by a highly unprofessional owner, who didnt respect me as a customer and caused a scene in front of young kids and many guests as witnesses. My sons 9th birthday party was ruined. I STRONGLY urge anyone thinking about using this company to use another one. read more

We used UMG truck again recently due to our fantastic time last time. This party was equally as awesome. Matt ran the party. He was great with the kids! The kids all went into the truck and all the parents stayed in the house and chatted and ate appetizers! It was a party for everyone (with the kids all entertained)!!! Warning!! Very disappointed in this company. Had a bad feeling from the start..Had scheduled a birthday party for my daughter and after the date was confirmed the wife (Melinda) said that another party had already been booked and my date would have to be changed. Then the day of the party the driver called me a half hour before he was supposed to arrive saying he was only leaving the first party in Rhode Island and that he would be a half an hour late, Turns out he was an hour and a half late, I had initially scheduled an additional feature for an additional $25 which was not set up because the driver was so late. I contacted the owner, the husband (Matt) SEVERAL times by phone and text about my refund and he finally said that he would send me a check but guess what I never received it. So he lied. I had a party for my boy he turned the BIG "8" on Sunday; you guys made his day that much special we had soooooooo much fun, the staff was SUPER professional and timely; they admitted they were 10 mins late ( which I don't believe to be so) but because of that they stayed an additional 10-20 mins to make up for. Just go to laser quest. First off trying to book w/ this business was difficult. Came across a deal on Groupon 159.00 for 90 minutes of laser tag for 10 kids. (Not sure why it matters how many kids are at the party if only 10 kids can play at a time anyways...but) was told he doesn't have any Groupon spots left for the month only full priced parties? I was willing to do anytime in order to get the best deal. I don't understand why he offers a Groupon if he comes up with every excuse in the world not to honor it. ( bait and switch..I later told him his Groupon was a scam, he uses it for advertising) I then was quoted 250.00 for 90 minutes. I felt that was fair. I made arrangements and then was told he just re-read what he offered me and he couldn't do that. At this point I already spoke to parents and got an ok. So the new price was 319.00 for 2 hours. Matt makes it clear that he is very busy and that your business is not appreciated or important. You're not valued. Normally I'd walk away, but I wanted to book it and have everything set. I figured if the kids have fun it's worth it. The party time was 12-2. Worker called me when he was on his way. He thought he was coming to a school event for the entire school. The party details were given to Matt who charged me more because it was a "school" event. It was explained it was a private class only party paid for by the parents for the kids moving on to middle school. It was at the school for convenience but the school had nothing to do with it..but he didn't look at it as a bday party. The scary thought is that the worker was coming alone and he was NOT capable of handling a school on his own...even though that was not the case. We had the party in the gym. He told me it's played outside in order for him to stake the tents in the ground. I kinda panicked because I was never told that, if you read the website it says anywhere..so he ended up using folding tables that were luckily in the gym instead of tents..? He used some tents of his own. So, he came at 11:50 to set up tents/tables and sync 10 guns..plug stuff in..etc ..gaming didn't start until 12:20. Computer glitch in the middle of gaming , worker quoted " this is my bosses computer, never used it before" another 15 minutes of non playing, then he wrapped up at 12:45. So I feel only half the time I paid for was actually provided. Not to mention the laser tag was not the light laser w the vest like you may be used to, it's a gun that has a piercing continuous beeping that is very annoying and bothersome. One child couldn't play due to noise sensitivity, I feel that should be advertised. Poor quality equipment. Can't tell if you are hit or being hit..no scores given. And the worker was the one shooting the kids and knocking them out. So the cherry on top of this whole experience was that the worker ( I forgot his name)couldn't find his wallet or his phone charger at the end of his time and accused the children of stealing both. A bunch of 10 year olds in a catholic school( not that they are angels). We sat them down, interrogated them. Patted them down..The kids spent 20 minutes searching for stuff he should have left in the car and probably did leave it in the car or a pocket he didn't check. Some kids put gloves on and searched the trash, trying to help. We were in a gym, a wide open space..no place to really hide anything...the kids were in uniform gym shorts, no pockets no bags to hold his charger or wallet. He kept saying how he just bought the charger yesterday and he was upset it cost 25.00..I felt bad and gave him 20.00 because if someone did touch it, I felt responsible. It really put a damper on what should have been a great day, and we paid over 150.00 and hour. I wanted a refund of 50%...really wanted a full refund. I emailed Matt after the party on a Friday with feedback and he never responded until Wednesday. ."Lauren I've been at parties for 5 days straight and just getting to my computer now My Groupon is certainly not a scam. I'm not even sure why you would think that. and yes, everyone who is now reaching out to me is being told it's unavailable because I have 100 parties in the next 2 weeks and have no openings unless they want a 9 AM or 10 PM. My employee is under the opinion that someone grabbed his wallet, looked through it and moved it back when they didn't see any cash. I have no idea if that's true or not (and neither do you) but he said everyone looked everywhere, including the stage. He also said he may have picked up a few things early but didn't "wrap up" 15 minutes early. Keep in mind, you already received a substantial discount for this event. You paid less than a 90 minute party costs, because that would've been $339 with travel." So, I paid 319.00 for basically 60 minutes ...where's my substantial discount? The most unprofessional business I have come across! I had purchased a Groupon for this business at a good deal. It seemed like a fun idea for my sons upcoming birthday. Called up the company to reserve a party but got no answer, no problem I just left a message. Next day I recieve a text from the company saying could not pick up was at an event...Thats it not a what can I do for you?, ill get back to you, sorry, nothing and on top of that I didnt get a call back. I thought to myself maybe their just really busy so I decided to go to the website. I saw there that they had a book a party tab so I went on it entered my information and submitted the request. Days later I get a email from the companys owner Matt telling me the dates I chose were available because they ask for more than one interested date and one of the dates I chose was a holiday that my sons birthday falls on. I replied to the email confirming the date and mentioned my Groupon thats when everything changed. He replies to me stating I cannot use my groupon on holidays even though it doesnt state that in the fine print. Me not wanting to argue with the owner I just said ok ill do the following day. I never heard from the company again. Ive called with no response, sent another email, and even contacted Groupon about the issue. Groupon did get in touch with the business and told me that someone would be calling me but never did. I ended up getting a refund but will never get back my time or stress I endured. I truely feel that this business didnt want to honor my Groupon because that meant less money for them seeing that it was a special which is odd because the company sets the Groupons up, idk... All I can say is I will NEVER recomend this business to anyone! And how they treat paying customers is disgusting. read more

What a cool thing this is! The truck was a huge hit with the my son's friends after his Bar Mitzvah. They had a blast and are still talking about it. Great idea. Our 8y/o son LOVED this and so did his Birthday guests. Wish it was a little less expensive, but it was great fun from beginning to end. Kept the mess and kids outside. Beware Beware. Most unprofessional scamming company I have ever contacted. I booked a party with a groupon and the owner so unprofessional tried to scam me stating I couldn't use the groupon and had to pay full price because of the distance. We aren't far and it has no fine print on groupon stating this. As I called around to say what happen. I came in contact with two other people completely different towns that had similar issues if not worse. Put a complaint into Groupon and this isn't the first complaint Groupon got on this business. read more

What a great, no fuss birthday party option! Booked online with immediate email confirmation. Paid online securely through PayPal. Invitations were supplied. Parents and kids alike were very curious and fascinated with the whole idea. We had 21 kids which was very high attendance based on inviting 30 kids and holding the party on Memorial Day weekend. All of the kids were occupied for 2 full hours. Matt facilitated the gaming and worked to keep the kids taking turns when needed. The vehicle was roomy and clean. Ultimate Mobile Gaming made my birthday planning a piece of cake. From the first conversation I had with the owner I knew I was in good hands. He answered all my questions and when sending him an email he got back to me within the day. On the day of the party Matt arrived in plenty of time to set up and was ready before the kids even got to my house. Watching the kids run up to street because they could see the truck already was so funny. Matt organized all the games for the kids and kept them entertained. The kids had a blast and honestly besides coming out for a drink or snack I didn't see the 20 boys for the full 90 minutes. Worst party ever, beware of this company! After confirming my son's 9th birthday a month before, I paid in full for a video game bus. I called the day before the party on 9/28 and was assured that everything was all set. Matt called me a couple of hours before the party was scheduled to begin and said that he had made a mistake and scheduled us for a laser tag and video combo party. I told him I didn't want that, and he "recommended" that I take it because the truck was going to be 30 minutes late. I asked him if he could be sure that it was only 30 minutes, and he said yes. Long story short, the laser tag was way too aggressive for 9 years olds, the structures were rough, the guns super heavy, no lights anywhere (I was told that EVERYTHING would be provided) and the guy in charge was pretty militant. I had asked if the laser tag was age appropriate, and was told by Matt that is "was perfect for 9 year olds." Two kids ended up getting injured. The whole time this was going on, I asked where the truck was, and the guy kept saying "10 more minutes." The truck didn't show up until the last kid was leaving the party - a whole 2.5 hours later than I booked it! The next day I called the office for a refund and Melinda was extremely rude, and offered me a credit "if they were ever in my area again" I requested a full refund and she screamed and hung up the phone on me. The kids were really disappointed. Matt and Melinda are dishonest, greedy, and completely unprofessional, they obviously double booked the day and handled the situation horribly. I ended up having to escalate my complaint and refund request through my bank and the BBB. Fraudulent company! read more
