As time went on I noticed some boards became loose or rotted so it was time for some repairs and replacements. On Friday, July 10, 2026, Isac & German dropped by to do the work. They were professional, friendly and answered all of my questions. A week later (Friday, July 17, 2026) I noticed the side gate was not easy to open and close, so I called Classic Fence. It turned out the repair crew was nearby and would arrive within an hour. Sure enough Julio arrived, made some adjustments and replaced a part of the gate. Thank you!!! In return the fence was replaced new at no cost to me and I was told my gate would also be replaced. Before the fence work started, I reached out to James in regards to upgrading my gate, James said, he would have to return the monies my neighbor that he paid for my gate because it wouldn't be fair for me to upgrade and I only pay the difference (not sure if that was legal). James wanted to charge me the entire price of a new fence if I was to upgrade. On the back side of my gate James used old wood as well as all of the old metal hardware not replacing it with anything new. After seeing my gate, I called James to ask why there were such gaps in my gate, Jame sent me pictures of my old gate showing me it was the same. Now James is saying that I tried to commit fraud because I questioned him, Seriously. I tried to open my gate only for the old boards used to secure the back side just falling to the ground down. The old boards are not secure and the bolts that are supposed to hold them in place are old and wobbly. I called James to let him know of this issue and he said my neighbor only paid for the pickets to be replaced. I was never given the option to upgrade to a whole new fence or told that the old wood and hardware (bolts) would be used. There was never any communication from James letting me know what was paid for nor was I given any information regarding my gate. I'm aware that my neighbor is the one who contracted Bates Fencing and James but I should have been addressed when It came to my property and gate. I should have been given the oppertunity to pay the difference to completely upgrade my fence enough so it wouldn't be falling apart. My gate has only been up since April 2025 and the backside wood is literaly falling CG - June 5, 2025

I was quoted one price and was then informed that I needed something else with a different price when the installers came out.the price went up $1200 when the installers came out to inspect prior to the project getting started. I explained what I wanted when I spoke with the rep and was quoted something else. The company does not attempt to hear customers out. Their response is "page 6 of the contract you signed." It's pointless to speak with them about anything. I should have went with another company after waiting for almost two hours for someone to get back with me the day of my install but I was tired of looking for someone to do my fence. The fence was supposed to be out in the found but thy did not happen and there is still space at the bottom. I wanted to update my review since Peta, escalation manager reached out to me to try to rectify the situation. Peta sent me a gift basket and submitted a refund of $600 with the hopes that I will take my review down. I informed her that thanks for that but I will not take my review down. On the contrary, a day after speaking and receiving text messages from Peta. I noticed that cats were getting in my backyard and was wondering how. I went to my backyard only to find two pieces of my fence missing. I reached out to Peta via text and still have not received a response. My fence was completed on 7/16. How could it already get broken. This is insane to me when I was informed the wood is sturdy.
