I had been to this particular GC a few times before, but it must have been a good 4-5 years since the last time. What I like about them is the fact that they keep notes of how I liked my hair cut in the system. I asked the stylist if she saw the notes, and she immediately replied to tell me how it said I liked my hair cut. No frills. I like it. I like to keep my hair short so even when I'm growing my hair, it's really not much work. "#1 with finger-length at the top," I think was what the stylist told me. So you can imagine my haircut doesn't take long, nor much effort. (I don't mean to discredit their haircutting abilities, but you know what I mean.) I'm there. Wait 5 minutes. Hair cut in 10. Not much to complain about. I guess my point is that my personal experiences might not be the best bar to go by, if you're reading my review. But what can I say? My own experiences of going there 4 or 5 times have been all good. As long as I'm inclined to grow my hair, I'm happy with paying $20 (yes, I realize the inflation hasn't missed them, either) for a quick haircut at GC.

I wanted icy blonde but the stylist said that would required corrective color that is $140/hour. uneven color and I will get my hair cut somewhere reputable! This place is awful

I liked it a lot and got lots of compliments. My next visit was after the quarantine. Lots of hair. Decided to change the style and brought in another photo. Perfect cut, especially as we are preparing to go into a different style. It looked GREAT! I love it. It's so easy to take care of, run brush through it and go. I may just forget about a future style. I can confidently recommend Donna's for hair and am looking forward to taking advantage of the other services soon.

Let me start this by saying I'm not really sure where I would review them star-wise. They didn't…read morehorrendouly offend me and I had a pleasant experience, it was just...awkward. After a disasterous morning of trying to find somewhere to get a mani/pedi that didn't result in a giant wait, I found this place on Yelp and gave them a call. They had open appointments for a mani/pedi, which I scheduled for 2p. Within an hour or so of booking,I got a call back asking if I could come in tomorrow instead. I told them no, and they said "Okay, well if you don't hear back from us, everything will be fine". Not a great start, but after my rough morning, I was just glad to have an appointment. The place was nice inside- decorated in a Pinterest- inspired fashion. Marilyn Monroe posters, crystal chandeliers, soft seaform paint colors, etc. When I got there, it looked like the owner was the only person on staff, with a client in her chair. She mentioned my nail tech was on her way in. She showed up on time, and we proceeded to the nail area. It had some clothes for sale hanging on a rack in the nail area, which I thought was a bit strange, but whatever. The nail tech, who was VERY nice and personable, mentioned that since I wanted regular polish and not shellac, my options were pretty limited. They did not have any "french" type manicure colors. I settled on a color and sat down to get started. She laid down some paper towels on top of the nail station (kinda lame). Not even a towel? She had been out for a few days, ill, so she had no idea where a lot of her supplies/tools were. She spent a lot of time hunting down the things she needed for the manicure and pedicure. She did a base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat on my fingers, and then we moved on to the pedicure area. There were 2 pedicure chairs, and she gave a lot of attention to detail. They use a sugar scrub, a mask, and then massage with lotion. They are pretty aggressive with their cleaning- using alcohol, sanitizer, chlorine to clean out the pedicure tubs, etc. So if this is something you really care about, they're great about that. This entire process took 3 hours. Normally, I would put a mani pedi at 1.5-2 hours, and maybe that includes some wait time. I was so surprised that my 2pm appointment had me there until 5pm. My total? $75. Now, my mindset could have really impacted my review. Had I known that I was blocking out 3 hours of my day ahead of time for this, I would have had the right expectations up front about how long I'd be there. I'm still not sure if I'll be going back. tl; dr Place is nice if you'd like a more personal spa-type salon experience. Just set aside a lot of time for your appointment.

I came here because it's at least 1/3 of the cost of a regular salon. I got my hair lightened with a balayage service. It came to a little under $100 and I am very happy with it! The only downside is that it takes a long time. You have to take Into consideration this is a school. They have to get teachers to check and it takes time. If you value money over time give it a try.

I had to schedule on a Saturday because of my work schedule, so it was scheduled 2 weeks out, no problem. I show up 2 weeks later on Saturday for my appointment and they tell me the student I scheduled with wasn't there and said they would put me with someone else. I said no thank you I'd like to stay with the same person, I rescheduled for a Saturday another 2 weeks away. The day of my appointment which was at 8:45, I get a call at 8:15 telling me the student isn't available and they want to reschedule. Absolutely not! Now I've been waiting a month and I'll reschedule for another 2 weeks to just have it happen again? I thought that part of this school was teaching professionalism? This definitely would not fly in a professional salon. I'd rather pay 3x the cost and have it done when I schedule than save some money and be rescheduled 3 times. A little more notice would be better for those they reschedule in the future.

Having come from Seattle, WA where I was going to an extensions Goddess, I hadn't even come close to a salon being able to give me half of what I had loved and gotten used to. Janelle, the owner, had given me a quote and was willing to work with my existing (fairly new) extensions that I paid a pretty penny for before I left. She installed a new piece as well. I was in the chair for several hours, but was pleased overall with the attention, the service and her expertise. She wasn't chair hopping either, so you actually have the attention you need. I went to her another time months later for a mini-move up. The last time I was here, Dylan took care of me. Also, thorough, with lots of Q & A , he was able to achieve great results. I very much appreciated his attention to detail (ie. the scalp massage in between touching up my highlights while my extensions were out). If you had ever had braces taken off, then you know that feeling of non being able to stop licking your smooth teeth. That is what I equate his scalp massage too. There are no other words. I noticed a spot of hair by my money piece that was a bit too bright, and before I let it bother me, he added extra toner to make it blend in better. It's now been several weeks of grow out, but my extensions are still in, none of the beads are broken, and it's not too heavy or pulling on my scalp. This is a pricey salon, but you do get what you pay for!
