Arrowhead Plastic Surgeons - Necrosis after tummy tuck. Dr. Kesler says this is normal.

Arrowhead Plastic Surgeons

I had a neck lift by Dr. Jeff Kesler nearly 1 1/2 years ago. I was unsatisfied with the development…read moreof what is called "turkey neck." He seemed very qualified according to my research. I was troubled by his air of being in a hurry and talking over me, but thought that should not reflect on his skill as a surgeon. His answers to my questions were clipped and somewhat evasive. For instance, he would not give me a direct answer when I asked how many neck and facelifts he did a year, just that he did "more than the other doctors" at Arrowhead. I have no complaints about the staff, who were very cordial and friendly, as was Dr. Kesler. I finally had the neck lift and it was about as uncomfortable recovering as I expected, although not overly painful. Dr. Kesler gave me antibiotics and steroids for a possible allergic reaction to the compression bandage, and also adequate prescription pain meds. I believe my recovery was average, and I was able to go back to socializing a month later. It was obvious, however, that I did not get an optimal result from the procedure. As the swelling went down over the months, loose skin remained on each side of my neck. Also, the incision under the chin is still bumpy after nearly a year and a half, and you can see the stitch marks of the sutures, which were very obvious directly after surgery. I expected better from a skilled surgeon. The central area of my neck is much better, the "turkey wattle" is gone, and my jawline appears smoother. but I did not get the result I expected, and am disappointed after paying thousands of dollars. Also, there is a crease in my earlobe where the tissue was stitched in an overlap, and that ear is now lower than the other. Dr. Kesler said the massaging they instruct you to do every day for several months would get rid of the crease, but it hasn't. He said if it didn't resolve with massage he could take care of it in the office, but on my final postoperative visit he brushed off my concerns and said "keep massaging." When I voiced my concerns about the loose skin on either side of my neck, he said "that's just skin," which I took to mean it was the nature of skin to do that and I couldn't expect a better result. He then took a photo of my profile for his files, instructing me to lift my chin, which made the neck appear tighter than it was. He seemed in a great hurry even though the waiting room was nearly empty. On my way out, he handed me a photo of what I looked like before the surgery and said I looked much better than before, as if to chide me for questioning the results. I felt rushed and my concerns dismissed. I know that a perfect result from cosmetic surgery is not a given, but I am left wondering if Dr. Kesler is skilled enough at facelifts to call himself an expert, which he is listed as in his profile. I do look firmer than before the surgery, but feel that it could have been better for $18,000. I would advise that if you have enough money, go to a plastic surgeon who deals exclusively with facelifts, instead of one who dabbles in several different cosmetic procedures.

If you want to go to Arrowhead, this is what you'll look like post tummy tuck. Before size 10 and…read moreafter size 10. Dr. Kesler almost killed me. Ended up in ICU and 12 blood transfusions. This is what I look like after spending $16,000 plus thousands in medical bills. If this man had a heart at all, he would have at LEAST offered me my money back after all he put me through.

Fiber + Strand - Beautiful hand tied extension guest.

Walking into this salon, you immediately feel like you stepped into a bigger city salon (Chicago,…read moreSeattle). You may blink, or perhaps rub your eyes in disbelief that a clean and well designed salon even exists in downtown... Toledo. Yep. This place gave me hope. Hopes that Toledo may actually be a place to hang out and not just feel scared to leave your house. You are welcomed upon arrival with a text message stating they'll see you in a matter of minutes, followed by an actual human that greets you and offers you a hot or cold beverage while you wait. I was in tears pretty much before finding Fiber + Strand. Having come from Seattle, WA where I was going to an extensions Goddess, I hadn't even come close to a salon being able to give me half of what I had loved and gotten used to. Janelle, the owner, had given me a quote and was willing to work with my existing (fairly new) extensions that I paid a pretty penny for before I left. She installed a new piece as well. I was in the chair for several hours, but was pleased overall with the attention, the service and her expertise. She wasn't chair hopping either, so you actually have the attention you need. I went to her another time months later for a mini-move up. The last time I was here, Dylan took care of me. Also, thorough, with lots of Q & A , he was able to achieve great results. I very much appreciated his attention to detail (ie. the scalp massage in between touching up my highlights while my extensions were out). If you had ever had braces taken off, then you know that feeling of non being able to stop licking your smooth teeth. That is what I equate his scalp massage too. There are no other words. I noticed a spot of hair by my money piece that was a bit too bright, and before I let it bother me, he added extra toner to make it blend in better. It's now been several weeks of grow out, but my extensions are still in, none of the beads are broken, and it's not too heavy or pulling on my scalp. This is a pricey salon, but you do get what you pay for!

I went to this salon to get a blowout from one of their stylist not too long ago. The stylist was…read moreextremely friendly and took the time to learn my hair type. The reason I am rating this a horrible experience is because the owner, Janelle, is one of the rudest individuals to ever walk this earth. She was correcting the stylist and did not give me the time of day. She had no decency to answer my questions rather she insulted my hair texture and pretended like I was one of the mannequin heads she 'works' on. Though I loved the stylist, I will never be coming back there purely based on the attitude of the owner, the way she treated clients and her own employees. Extremely disappointed in her lack of empathy and culture within this business. I do not recommend going to salons that form toxic atmospheres for their clients and employees!!

I waited ten minutes and nobody acknowledged (pharmacist and assistant kept staring at me, but apparent CS is not their job). His prescription plan this year requires we get all his prescriptions from Walgreens. At the beginning of the year things were great. Refills were on time, when a doctor sent over a perscription it was ready the same day. Everyone working there was kind and curteous. Then Rite-Aid closed and everyone that was getting their prescriptions from Walgreens and it has turned into a hell house. I just spent 40 minutes on the phone to discuss one of his prescriptions and I had to hang up at 40 minutes because I do have a life that requires my attention. The whole time I was waiting the voice kept telling me there was one caller ahead of me and someone would be with me shortly. The doctor sent over the prescription for the generic brand and they filled it with the name brand and it's $500. I CANNOT wait until the end of the year so that we can switch plans and get something different because I never ever ever want to set foot in a Walgreens again!! At the pharmacy counter they have a sign that says please be kind to our employees and refrain from disrespectful behavior. Don't you think making me wait on hold for 40 minutes is a little disrespectful? The person caring for you is also someone's loved one? Guess what? I HAVE LOVED ONES AS WELL!!!!!!! If you're not respecting your customers then you can really expect the same from them can you?
