Henry was the Pedicure tech and Sonny was the Manicure tech. Sonny went over and beyond to make sure that my nail polish color matched (I wanted dip, and the polish on my toenails was a Gel polish that they didn't have a match for. Very cute, clean, and accommodating. The Polish colors are unique and eco-conscious. Their typical polishes don't dry super quick, so I paid an extra $10 to get the Diamond Dry, which is like a gel polish that dries within 5 mins, without any harsh chemicals or UV lights. Savannah was my nail tech and she did a great job on my pedicure. Will be back again.

The end result was exactly what I needed so that's not the complaint. The services overall while there were very subpar. I was first surprised being told zoya nail polish would make my hands unusable for the entire day because it takes that long to dry. That's not true. I use zoya at home and have never had this issue. Then was told for an extra $10 I could have polish that would be dry when I left the salon- kind of crazy. I forewent any polish at all because it wasn't worth the hassle apparently. Next the encounters with the nail techs were very strange. Not a single person introduced themselves or really even acknowledged me. The manicurist walked up and all she said was what shape do you want your nails and later asked if I wanted cuticle oil- that's was about the extent of our interaction. The pedicurist was a little more approachable but it was still an overall odd encounter compared to any beauty services I've ever had. Then the service overall was subpar. It was insanely overcharged for what it was. The hot towel that you pay for in some of the packages was literally just 30 seconds long. Massage maybe 30 seconds. And as someone mentioned the bath basins are very awkward. I wear a size 6 shoe and my feet barely had room to fit in the basin with the design of the hangover and faucet. Love that there's no fumes but that's about where the "good" ends. Definitely wouldn't go back.

I wanted to get a dip powder for starting my next assignment and not have to worry about getting it…read moreduring the week. I looked around the area and couldn't finding too many higher rated salons that had dip powders. I widened my search area and found Angel Nails & Spa. Originally, I was going to call 1) to make sure they did do dip powders, 2) how they finished their dip powders (more on that later), and 3.) to make an appointments. I found their website on here this amazing website/app called Yelp. Ever heard of it? It's great! I was able to look at their services right on their website, but didn't have prices. No worries, maybe it was posted in the photos sections. It's not. I was too late at night to call so I just made the appointment anyway. To make an appointment, you can see a list of their nail specialist, their specialty, and then make an appointment right there on the website. That is definitely a plus in my book! I've read many greats reviews about Tina, but she wasn't available for a while so I booked with Lynn and she was wonderful! I was greeted by her when I walked in. It was a few minutes before she could take me because they do take walk ins and the other 6ish workers there were all working. I didn't mean as I do take some time trying to pick a color. They have a huge variety of colors, ombre, glitter, different hues, everything! Another plus goes in the book. I was seated at her station and she got to work right away. Lynn was a delight to work with. She was attentive to detail, asking what shape I would like (I've experienced with some places don't bother asking), and efficient. Overall, it took about 45 minutes which is on the quicker side of getting the dip powder, but I was not complaining. For a single dip powder color was $45 for cash, and if you pay debit/credit, it's an extra $1 the surcharge from the companies. I didn't mind and I gave her a good tip because she was wonderful and how she finished my nails was great! I've had in the past, salons would finish my dip powder with a gel or shellac coating using the UV dryers. I have a family history of skin issues and I tanned many years ago so I don't want any extra exposure regardless how small of an amount of it is. My bigger issue with gel/shellac polish is I'm a nurse so I'm constantly either washing my hands or using alcohol gel sanitizer which eats away at the gel/shellac and gets ruined within a few days instead of lasting weeks. TL;DR: I would recommend Angel Nails & Spa for dip powders. They have a wide variety of colors, glitters, shades, ombres, etc. The -1 star is all the small stuff added up such as no pricing on their website, the state my nails were left in when she was done, nothing critically major.

Even if it's because it's regular nail polish, there should have been a good topcoat to keep it for more than a day. My gel nails on my hands started peeling up by the end of the week. My gel toes still look good. I really don't know the difference between toes and nails, maybe it's the fact that we use our hands for everything. In 20 years of getting my nails done, I've never had that happen. My gel always does well. The staff was friendly and respectful, treated my granddaughter good, that is why I am giving 4 stars. I don't know what went wrong with the products.
