Work in or not no one should be talked to the way I was spoken to. Even as a work- in no one should have to wait an hour to be fit in. If you can't fit someone in then don't schedule them at a certain time, especially when I tell you I'm taking off work early to make the appointment because I was literally told 3 pm was the only time available. That's ridiculous, I've been "worked in" at other offices and clinics and my wait was at most 30 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of time and money I could've kept earning instead of leaving early.

I was…read morevery hesitant about going back to the dentist because I knew that I'd have to have deep scrapings done on all 4 quadrants and I have a very sensitive gag reflex, so taking those deadly bitewings X-rays are usually a challenge. I expressed my concerns to the folks and they were very accommodating. They patiently worked with me on the X-rays and the scrapings were completed in 2 sessions without the need for Novocain, just a gel that was used to numb the areas. A cavity was of course found which did require novocain, but Dr. Hammes was great with the needle and I was able to easily tolerate the injections. There were several problems with the insurance payments, but they were very patient while those problems were finally worked out. I would highly recommend Dr. Hammes and her staff.

I discussed this issue with him, and he assured me that he would stand behind his work and make the necessary adjustments. Over the course of the year, I returned for 6 to 10 adjustment appointments. At each visit, more material was shaved off the walls of the denture in an attempt to improve the fit. Despite these efforts, the denture never fit correctly--and eventually, it broke. Now, instead of honoring his commitment to stand behind his work, Dr. Hood has chosen to close the door on me as a patient and has refused to provide any further dental services. This is not only disappointing, but also unprofessional, considering the denture was never functional and is now broken due to poor fit and repeated modifications. I trusted Dr. Hood to resolve the issue, and I feel let down both as a patient and a paying customer. DO NOT TRUST DR Hood to stand behind his work
