I attempted to make a purchase today at the Mansfield, TX location. I recently changed my number so of course when Carlos asked me for my number, I could not remember it. The line was long, and I was not going to hold it up. So, I thought I'd forgo any points that i could possibly receive and purchase my products. However, Carlos told me that I could not purchase any products at that store without a phone number. I was astonished! I have been a member since 2022. I never heard of that. I asked for the policy he said there was not one available. So, I said, "if someone does not have a phone, they cannot buy anything here?" Carlos answered "correct!". I kindly asked for the manager because I was truly perplexed. Chelsea, the manager was very kind and considerate. She vehemently apologized and stated that was not the store's policy and an email could have been used. I told her that Carlos never asked for or mentioned that to me. He was very adamant about getting my phone number. I felt like he did not want to accept my patronage, and his actions felt very discriminatory. Needless to say, I did not get my products, and I will never step into that store again. The customer service at the Arlington and Grand Prairie stores is better anyway. read more

Comment: I had went into the hair salon around March 10th about 3:30pm .. I have very light blonde hair which was perfect except for some golden areas , only on top, that I wanted re~highlighted . Ashley agreed and did the service but she wanted to Tone my hair afterwards , telling me it was Redken 10 netural which is extra light blonde so I agreed but when she finished it my hair was like a muddy brown with purple hues in it. She then said she could tone it again and I said a toner is not gonna take this dark color off. so I mentioned to her that Aveda had once done a bleach bath. so that's what she did and then it only came out to an orangey color so she redid the bleach bath again and it was dark yellow. we could not do anymore to my hair for fear of it breaking or damaging it .. I said I was not going to pay for the service because my hair was perfectly fine when I walked in and now I'm walking out with a horrible color I never ask for! a store manager on the evening shift came back and said I had to pay for it and I could not leave the store until I did. I ask her when did Ulta start making people pay for services that didn't turn out right , so then she told me I could pay half of it. we continued to talk and she says to come back and they can repair it and I said they have already tried twice to repair it and I had no faith at this point, she then said, "well it's blonde , it's just not the blonde you wanted"! I tried to call the store manager the next morning and she already knew all about the situation and pretty much told me that they could either repair it and I could pay for it , or just not pay for it and don't come back. There was no apology about this situation and she wasn't polite to me in the least , I had asked her to tell the general manager or district managers of the store to call me and I never received that call..I feel like they should've paid me for damaging my hair and turning it a color I despise.. This was all very unprofessional and no one bothered to say that they were sorry for what happened, not once . This was my hair, it was fine when I walked in except for a few pieces of gold on top.. now it's completely just dark gold all over after I worked so hard to get it to a very light blonde with no gold.. The toner will NOT wash out so I'm thinking it was a permanent color , my stylist even mentioned to me and the salon manager on shift , that another stylist plays around with the hair colors mixing them up a little and then putting them back on the shelf .this happened in Mansfield Texas and I will never return to that store..before and after 2 bleach baths on my hair ..below .. read more

I love Ulta , specially this one, it's well stocked the employees are always so amazing. I came during Black Friday and the staff was so friendly given that it was chaos , but the staff kept it together with smiles on their faces. The store is always clean and well organized, always carry the products I'm looking for and if they don't have them they can order them for you as well with free shipping. They have house of lashes and Lilly lashes in stock! I rarely find them anywhere else and this Ulta carries them. It's really huge and high end products to your right , perfumes and colognes in the middle along with the salon and shampoo section and everything else skin care , nail lacquers to your left! It's really organized so no issues finding your needs and wants. There's lots of parking! There were several associates ready and willing to help me when I walked in. I explained that I was looking for witch hazel and Tea tree oil. The associate explained that they didn't have pure witch hazel but they have a few different products that included witch hazel in them. She walked me over to an associate that worked in a different area and asked about the witch hazel. I was taken back by her firm response "witch hazel is terrible for the face so I don't recommend it at all". She never answered the other associated question as to what products contained the witch hazel (made me a feel negatively of her). Another associate nearby heard our conversation and answered the question. Once she helped me choose a toner (which did not contain witch hazel, btw), she took me directly to the tea tree oil. I wish I got the associates name that helped me because she was very patient and knowledgeable. read more

I have come several times to get brow services and though everyone in the salon and the brow area are standing around twiddling there thumbs with no clients in sight - they are apparently booked all day and can't provide a 10 minute service. Not even the manager, any time that I have come, has instructed me on how to make an appointment or asked if I would like to make an appointment. I will NEVER shop this location again... I went in today to grab a skincare item. While there, I took advantage of smelling the perfumes since it wasn't busy. I liked a particular one and circled back to spray it directly on my skin to see how it smelled on me (I had previously only sprayed it on the paper stock). I went to find an associate to assist in finding what I needed when I turned around to see another associate picking up the fragrance I had just used and using her handheld device to scan a box. It was blatantly obvious that she was checking the inventory to see if anything was stolen. Mind you, I didn't even bring my purse in. I came with my debit card and shorts bc it was a quick in and out trip. Not sure where I would've put anything if I did have intentions of shoplifting. Once I made eye contact with her, she tried to play it off by pretending to tidy up the perfumes....that weren't untidy to begin with. Because it had gotten awkward, she then quickly moved to an area adjacent to the fragrances and pretended to be organizing them. Once I left, I was too bothered by the situation to let it slide. I called and discussed this with Alex, the manager. She gave a scripted apology, but I can tell she couldn't have cared less and there was nothing genuine about it. I will not return anywhere where I'm targeted or monitoring when attempting to spend my money. However, the young lady who helped me find the item I came for was great! Let me just say....I walked out BEAMING with a smile on my face. Anna absolutely 100% nailed the exact color I was going for without damaging my hair more - and it looks healthier now than before. I love this store, and I buy all my beauty supplies from here. However, when I went to the store earlier this week, I feel like I was racially discriminated against. I had picked up some armani perfume for my mom, and one of the ladies immediately comes up to me proceeds to say that she was going to keep the perfume at the front. I thought this was protocol so I just gave it to her. In fact, when I got the cologne I just gave it to the lady to put in the front. When walking around I saw another Caucasian woman walking around with a bottle of expensive perfume. If that wasn't bad enough, when I got to the register they didn't have my cologne and when I asked the lady why she had to go put the fragrances in the front she started getting an attitude with me. Even though they eventually found the cologne, I can't help but wonder if she only took the fragrances from me because of my skin color. I told my best friend about this incident and she knew the exact lady I was talking about, so I can't be the first person that this has happened to. read more

October 22, 2021 I Was A victim of racial profiling at this store by an older employee, With red Hair, I was Informed her name is Laura. I live in the area and have been here MANY times, I'm A Member with the Ulta Brand and had never had this issue! The Women here are usually very kind and unbiased no matter a customer's appearance. This day however, I was shocked, Saddened and OUTRAGED by the treatment I received! Laura repeatedly followed me around and at first I ignored this behavior but after a few times I stopped in an aisle and turned around to face her directly Just to be sure It wasn't in my mind but Laura had NO SHAME! I'm Disgusted and Appalled. I wonder if Ulta Praises this hostile treatment from members of their team to their customers of color like myself? I Will NEVER Return to this Store Again and honestly I'm Not Sure I'll Ever Support the Ulta Brand At all!! Made an appt for feb 13 th to get a much need haircut . Got a quick appt . Was checked in quickly . Hillary was to be my stylist . Told her i want 2 inches cut from the length and my Layers trimmed as well. What she didn't do was cut my hair she trimmed maybe 1/8 of an inch . She was also coloring someone's hair at the time and kept leaving me in the middle of my appt to do the other clients hair . She left me sitting there about six times . If she didn't have time for the appt she should have said so . It would say it was one of the worst cuts i had ever had but she did not even change my look from when i walked in the door . This store is clean but always have low stock on many items. But the annoying thing about this location is their treatment toward minorities and people of color. Now being followed in a store is nothing new to me but they were extremely aggressive about it. I was approached by 4 different employees and about 7 times the whole 30 minutes I was in the store. I'm a big make-up fan and have no problem spending $1000+ on makeup, so them approaching me every 5 minutes made me feel uncomfortable and not want to give them a dime of my money. The sad part is that I had several friends of color and family members say they had a similar experience at this location, which is why they stop shopping at this location or at Ulta all together. I am very upset with my hair. Not only did the lady overcharge, but she did not do layers like I asked. I was overcharged for just a slight touch up to my color. This place is not worth it. They think that because they are not a public local own salon that they can charge the customers how much they want. There was not really a difference in my hair. Spent over $100 for poop looking hair. Never coming back. Nice products though. I am very unhappy. I RATE THIS PLACE 0 STARS... But u can't I advise not to go to get ur hair ombré, special highlights anything that would be more difficult then dying hair. It's not worth it. Not only is it a rip off but it looks terrible. I went in to this Ulta yesterday because I needed to get a new foundation since none of mine match me anymore. I asked one beauty advisor to help foundation match me and what her recommendations were and she acted like she had no idea what she was doing at all. She ended up not even being able to help me at all so she told me that she would get me another employee. once I got the other employee , she had no idea what she was doing either, had no idea about any of the makeup at all and she barely talked to me. Overall if you work in a beauty store you should have some experience with beauty products. read more

Barely trimmed it and didn't texturize any of it. So I paid $67 for literally nothing. Also she herself was rude and spoke maybe two words to me the entire hour. So, my step daughter wanted a bunch of make up stuff for christmas and I decided to head to your mansfield location. As a manager in retail, I was shocked that there was only 1 person on the sales floor to help customers, and that the other associates were all behind the registers. So many products in there! When you're in such area, on December 23rd, make sure you schedule people to help! I'm giving 4 stars only, and ONLY for the lady that helped me find everything I needed (and if a product wasn't in stock she gave me great advice, and we together found replacement/similar items). I think her name was Shannon. Not sure if she was an associate or the store manager. If I ever go back to a make up store for xyz reason I will go back for this location, thanks to her. The salon is very disappointing. I went in a week early and talked to the women working there, a hair stylist, about getting my hair colored. Sat there for 30min talking with her about what they would do and even showed her a picture and she told me the time and the price. When I showed up, the stylist assigned to me told me she would do highlights or cut my hair but I told her thats not what the appointment was for. I told her that same thing I did to the first lady who made the appointment and showed the picture again but the lady said she would only be here for 2 more hours and what I was asking her to do was going to take longer. Okay, yes I was told that when I made the appointment and thats why I made the appointment at the time I did. We went to go talk to the lady who set the appointment and she just made bullshit excuse about bad communication and misunderstanding. Wtf. Where was the misunderstanding when I told her what I wanted. What bad communication when both of them are working in the same small corner at the back of the store. They said make another appointment and I complied. BUT THEN they tried to scare me off with high prices. If you cannot do a damn simple hair color correction then tell me, so I don't waste my time anymore with you. They looked lost and unsure the whole time. If they cant do this job then why get the fu**ing job. Glad this happened because I found a better, PROFESSIONAL place. read more

Scheduled a hair appointment three weeks in advance with great detail of my long length, partial highlights, and a darker color underneath. I was referred to Ashley Nicole and when I arrived I was told that she could not color my hair because it would take over 4 hours. I've never had anyone take longer than 2 hours and I graciously rescheduled for the next day. I then get a call one minute to closing that they had to reschedule me later, I canceled my appointment altogether. I wanted my hair done because I just graduated and was going to my masters degree ceremony, yet I kept feeling like I was being juggled around. I then called the customer service hotline and they told me that the district manager would contact me in 24-72 hours, I was never contacted. Instead I was contacted by the salon manager who did not ask to hear my side of the story instead she stated that she heard I was mad because I didn't get my hair done like I wanted. First off I was disappointed because I've worked so hard over the last three years for my achievements and wanted to be pampered and to feel pretty but instead I was consistently punted around. She then offered me 20% off which I declined. So I called the customer service hotline once again and the woman stated that the district manager wanted the salon manager to handle it and there is no one higher than the district manager that I can speak to. I realized that customer service starts at the top and this store has a terrible district manager and her terrible customer service reflects in the salon's management and employees. Stay away from Ulta in Mansfield's salon, they do not care about the customers. read more

Went in to get a haircut and color. First time it took almost 3 hours to get just my hair colored! Came out with my roots looking blondish, had to leave due to a meeting so didn't have time to get it cut. Next day i went in to get the color fixed and to get my cut. Luckily they fixed the color and the cut was fine however i paid $47 for a haicut and style. Told the lady wanted my hair straight said she didn't have time all she had was 2 minutes and just put a little thing of mousse in my hair and sent me on my way!
