Dr. Thornton is an artist. I had a BL/BA (breast lift / breast augmentation) in August 2025. The…read moreresults have exceeded my modest expectations. I was referred to him by my facial plastic surgeon in Fort Worth. This turned out to be the best referral I've ever received. I had a BL/BA in March 2022 by a different Southlake plastic surgeon. The results left my breasts looking *worse*. They were larger (thanks to the BA I was told was the only way to achieve upper pole volume - it isn't) and drooping more than pre-surgery. The areolas had also greatly expanded. I had a revision surgery in March 2022 with better results, but still had significant ptosis. The right breast implant was noticeably higher than the left. The left had fallen out of it's pocket and was slipping. The doctor was unwilling to listen to my concerns and tried to gaslight me into not believing my eyes. I had given up by the time I met Dr. Thornton in 2024. The consultation changed everything. He was gently honest that my results could be significantly better if my BMI were in a heathier range. At the time, I was 5' 1", 185#. He was NOT rude, condescending or taking any pleasure in telling me the simple truth. I appreciated his honesty and got to work. Improving my diet and increasing my exercise - in addition to reducing my nightly glass of wine to one glass every 3 - 4 months led to a dramatic transformation. I went back to visit Dr. Thornton in July 2025 at a healthy 120#. I wasn't just skinnier, I was healthier with proper nutrition, plenty of physical activity and a healthy mindset. We scheduled surgery for a month later. My expectations were set in a clear direction. Dr. Thornton acknowledged that he didn't know what he would find coming in after another surgeon. He was able to diagnose the slipped implant and had a plan on how to correct it. He wasn't going to over-promise and under-deliver. I felt secure in the knowledge that I was in capable hands. Fast forward a month and the results are BETTER than I could have dreamed. Recovery was so much easier than the previous two surgeries, even though the procedure was more involved and took longer. I credit Dr. Thornton's skills and his choice to use the Keller Funnel. Even before scar mitigation, my incisions are almost invisible. My breasts are sitting high on my chest and the implants are perfectly symmetrical. Communication is very important to me. Even if I had clicked with a surgeon, if his staff wasn't a good fit, I would have walked away. His nurse Tina is warm, caring, personable and reassuring. She's such an asset!! I sincerely appreciate the kindness and unending patience from Skylar and Courtney. Honorable mention: the surgery center Dr. Thornton uses, Mansfield Surgery Center is ultra clean, staffed with the kindest staff (shout out to Wendy and Michael). The anesthesiologist, Dr. Meiser was phenomenal. Bottom line: you will get out of the surgery what you put into it - follow your PS's directions, DON'T SMOKE, watch your nutrition, live a healthy, active lifestyle, ask questions and keep a positive attitude.

The extent…read moreof the injury was bad (torn eyelid & lacerations inside his mouth) that the ER decided to call in a plastic surgeon for the stitching. Dr. Burkett came from home at 10pm to help us out. He was very efficient with the stitch work. It was very even and stopped the bleeding. He kept calm throughout the entire procedure. Let me tell you, my 15 month old was kicking and screaming. I was horrified about the effects but Dr. Burkett was very calm and assured me that my son would be running around the next day, which is exactly what he did. He said that my son would probably not even notice the pain or notice his stitches, but I still asked for pain medication and he gave me a prescription to ease my worry. He told me to call his office and schedule an appointment to get the stitches taken out. He also stated that he doesn't have an automated phone system and that a live person would answer. So when I called, sure enough a sweet lady picked up and got my information down to schedule my appointment. Fast forward a week later. The swelling on my son's face was gone and from a distance you couldn't tell he had stitches on his face (he got it in 4 places). We walk into his nice office and all the ladies behind the reception desk started talking to my son and trying to make him smile. The waiting room is surrounded by framed photography from Dr. Burkett by the way, all of which are beautiful. When they called us back, Dr. Burkett was standing in front of the room and greeted Brandon. He remembered him! We laid my son on the exam room bed and 5 minutes later, the stitches were all out. He answered all my questions about scarring and really put me at ease. Dr. Burkett was a GREAT plastic surgeon. You can tell he's done this for a long time because of his demeanor. He definitely knows what he's talking about and is very knowledgeable in his field. I thank God the hospital called him and not somebody else to come and work on my son. Thank you Dr. Burkett!!!

I was very surprised when I tried to schedule myself for Juvederm injections recently…read more 9 and 10 years ago I received Juvederm injections at Dr. Anderson's spa and it went perfectly. 2 years ago I went in for Juvederm injections and had a bad reaction. The nurse asked what other medications I recently had and I told her I had a Physer covid booster 2 days prior. She quickly got an antidote to neutralize the reaction. She was apologetic for someone not telling me to avoid certain medications before getting Juvederm injections. She treated me very well, apologized and gave me ice pads for my face. And I felt it was my fault for getting the covid booster before the Juviderm. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I was very surprised. It was very ugly. It was surly a bad reaction. I texted the spa and told them that my face was very ugly. Now, fast forward to present day: I made the appointment on November 19th. Then I received a call from a woman who said that I could not return to the spa at all for anything because of the way I acted after the Juvederm reaction 2 years ago. She continued to accuse me of many things. She told me that, at that time, she tried to call me back to the spa, and I wouldn't come. (I don't remember this) She said, that I told her to stop harassing me. I believe this as a lie. I would never say that because she was nice to me at the time. I remember the nurse was not mad at me 2 years ago, nor was I mad at her or upset at anyone. It was a continual verbal abuse on the phone and a very big surprise. I don't know why she would make these accusations at this time. Possible she thought that the same Juvederm reaction would take place if I had it done, and it would embarrass her or the spa?? Or, she didn't like me texting the spa to tell how I saw my face? I don't know. My wife and I spent well over $45,000 on plastic surgery and some on Juvederm from Doctor Anderson during the last 20 years and everything was great with high quality, perfect surgeries. Why am I treated this way now? This above is the absolute truth. I am a Christian and it would be very difficult for me to lie.

42, Mommy makeover w/muscle repair…read more Dr. Rumalla, where do I start! From the pre-op consultation to the post op care...excellence from the start! I've never had any type of cosmetic surgery, so I was extremely nervous. Dr. Rumalla and his team quickly put my fears to rest. Every visit he was patient, attentive, and answered all of my "off the wall" questions. Lol I never felt rushed or disregarded, ever. The day of surgery (for my mommy makeover) the team at Harris Methodist all told me how blessed I was and that in Dr. Rumalla's care I could expect nothing less than greatness! Doc came in the morning of surgery, we chopped it up and I was instantly calm when he walked in the room. He came to see me when I woke up, and came BACK to the hospital that evening because he wanted to walk with me on my first post-op stroll...wow! I have many SX sisters and friends, none have reported having a surgeon like mine. A few already have plans to use him for their future procedures. I'm 4 weeks post-op, and my results still make me ask "is this my body"?! The world of cosmetic surgery can be scary, and it's still a very taboo topic in the African-American community. We often actively seek reviews from black people when selecting a PS. That's why leaving this detailed review was important to me. I want black/brown people to k ow that Dr. Rumalla is scar conscious, body shape and proportion aware...and very in-tune with our areas of concern. If you're a member of one of these groups, trust and believe...you're in great hands with Dr. Rumalla and his team! I'll update this review (if possible) at 16weeks post-op and include pictures. It feels great to be on the "flat side" post mommy makeover (MMO), reclaiming my body and my confidence! Thanks! #teamtarrantplastics #teamdrrumalla
