We were in the area and stopped by this store. I don't normally shop here, but the person that was with me has been, but to a different location. I was just an extra for them. There seems to be a little bit of almost everything in this store. I saw a few items that I would like to look at again, but that is for another day. I was more here to treat the person I was with to just a few items. They gravitated to the mix & match boxes that had mini-items - if you grabbed five items, they are $10 total. No issues here .... Some perfume out for smelling some locked up. Parking is limited I parked in the back of the store because I came specifically for ulta but if you parking and walking you will be fine. Customer service was good. Found everything I came for. My visit started off perfectly fine, found exactly what I was looking for within the first minute of being in the store, despite it being zeroed out on the app. However, like a kid in a candy store, I ended up smelling a few testers and wandering around looking for another product I remembered needing. I do admit i wandered in and out of aisles looking for what could fit my needs most without breaking my bank, and was only approached once by one of the employees who answered my question to the best of her ability. I also will admit that I picked up a few items and compared them to others price and use wise, and I guess that perturbed them enough to call the security guard over and linger in the aisle adjacent from me. The employee who initially answered my question ended up coming to the front and glancing in my direction quite a few times, which set off my alarm, and the employee who actually took my transaction seemed to have decided what kind of customer I was despite that being our first interaction. The security guard I greeted perfectly fine when I came in was suddenly closed off and quiet. I just want to know what, besides wandering around, could have invited that behavior. I genuinely despise being treated this way, which is why I intentionally left my personal bag (which is pretty sizable) in my car and only came in with my phone and keys. Despite that, I was still treated poorly toward the end of my visit. I guess don't wander around in this ulta for longer than 5 minutes. Get what you need and GTFO LMAO. read more

The store is usually kept clean between the occasional messed up testers done by customers. It's easy too find stuff and the employees are helpful without being overbearing. Too often I get looked at by beauty store employees like I'm about to steal something but not them. Love this place! read more

I never considered using Ulta for hair services before and I don't know why. I booked a last minute total blonde session with Taliah and I'm so glad I did. My hair looks so good!!!! I'm already pretty blonde and wanted a root touch up and a bit of color fixing. She did a great job. I described the color I wanted and she made my dream come to life. She was very nice as well! She also styled it sooooo pretty and made me wish I had somewhere to go after my appointment lol. I shopped around after and got some makeup. No complaints overall. My husband and I went in this location for Tom Ford cologne and was treated like criminals. First they told us to go on the website and scroll through the many different colognes. When then asked if they could just bring the cologne out so that we could see the bottle being that we weren't familiar with the name. It took 20 minutes for the store associate Mara to bring the cologne out and when asked if could see the 9 different she replied NO in a very rude and annoyed manner. When turned leave she got mad and told us we wasted her time. 20 minutes of waiting her being rude and her time was wasted while she is on the clock. She is very professional and will make you feel comfortable the second you sit down in her chair. She even unlocked the restroom for me. I needed nail, acetone, silk hair serum, polish, and face powder. Nice store with bright lights and tons of product. It's like a candy store for beauty products. They even have a clearance shelf for even more bargains. The member account is nice for storing up points towards coupons and discounts. So on the day before Mothers Day, you can't shop. There's a sign on the door that doesn't really give you the full explanation of why the door is locked. As I approached, I see staff walking around. Other potential customers came up as I read the sign and didn't get the understanding as well. So I called the number as they waited on the call. The young lady said yes we're closed for POS today and I said what is POS, she paused in disbelief that I didn't know what that meant... she said no purchase of sale. In other words, we can't do anything for you unless you purchased on line. I told her thank you and the other customers wondered why wasn't the note clearer. Had an awesome experience here! I walked in with some boba that I needed to get rid of and I couldn't find a trash can outside, so I asked the cashier if she had a trash can and she threw it away in hers. I started walking around the store and had two separate employees ask if I needed help before I found my first item. My only qualm is that the stock was a little lacking because I found a specific blush that I wanted, but I wanted the cheaper mini version. I asked an employee who very cheerily went and checked for more, but didn't see any. I wandered toward the skincare aisles and a nice woman informed me that she was the skincare specialist who only comes around three times a year! I didn't need any skincare, but she was very nice and introduced herself and offered any help we would need. Once I checked out, the cashier was very nice. Had a great experience! read more

Hannah Joy has been one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful person I have ever done business with. She shows up 30 minutes late for my appointment and then mess up my hair by putting the wrong color. I guess because she came in just for me, she felt like she was doing me a favor. But when you are charging $120 for a color you are not doing me a favor. So I asked her for a bleach blonde and after she bleach my hair she decided to put a grey toner. Why? I don't know. So I didn't know that she had mess up my hair until she asked me to pay because the store was closed and they were just waiting for her to finish. After she blow dry my hair and started using the flat iron on it my hair started to turned yellow. Yes yellow so she suggested more toner on it. Now all of this happened 2 days before I had to go out of town to a wedding and no she didn't offer to fix the color. Oh and she was supposed to cut my hair but she didn't feel like it so I has to wait until I got to Denver and find someone to cut my hair which I had to pay $90. read more

I booked my first appointment with Hannah at Ulta Salon. Parking was easy, the store was bright and organized and the salon was easy to locate--walk straight to the back. She asked what service I was interested in for my hair. I wanted highlights & lowlights. After discussing my ideas and desire for something new, I was very happy with her suggestion for a mod color--lavender is such a fun change for me! The music is so great while being there and while the color was on and I was waiting for it to set, I wandered around the store and perused for new colors to match my new hair color. Stopped by this past Friday evening around 6:30pm to pick up a few items. They had several natural hair products on sale (BOGO 50% off). Due to COVID, they do close earlier at 7pm, masks are also required and there are several signs on the floor encouraging social distancing. The customer service was great, it was about 7:05pm and the lady checking me out was so sweet. I was purchasing a new setting spray from a different brand (morphe) which i had never tried before and it kept rattling when it shook, i thought nothing of it. However, the cashier was nice enough to let me know to grab a new one as it might be defective, since it was almost closing time that was really nice of her to do. Christopher is an AWESOME colorist and stylist!!! I wanted a haircut and crazy bold color--think unicorn/oil slick/mermaid/my little pony colors. I brought a few pictures, but let him know I was leaning towards 1 in particular that had pink, blue, violet, and teal as the main colors. My hair was a mess when I came in (part of why I knew I needed professional help!) and he was undaunted. Christopher evaluated the situation, studied the pictures, and formulated a game plan. He made sure to use plenty of dye and his careful application with the foils ensured the colors wouldn't run together. The end result was AMAZING!!!! read more

I always come to this Ulta since it's the only one I know of near the Laurel area. It's always lite up well and staff always greet you upon arriving. There is always some type of deal and a coupon online ! Make sure you sign up for their rewards program! I am not huge on makeup, but they have a lot of hair products and facial products. read more

Natasha stuck with me though answering my questions and me napping while the color was processing through my hair. She didn't give up when the color didn't take either. HANNAH IS AMAZING. She came in on her day off to spend 8hrs working on my hair! I got a keratin smoothing treatment and I AM IN LOVE! My hair has been through it all let me tell you! From deciding to box dye my own hair to getting not-so-experienced people to relax my hair needless to say it was DAMAGED. Hannah took the time to evaluate my hair and tell me if getting the keratin treatment was the right thing to do. She went through each part of the process diligently, she never rushed and each step was done with quality. I had no clue I was there for 8hrs- we had great convos and she's so sweet! I wanted to give them 4 stars at least but since , i was treated very rude by the new manager there , had to give them 1 Star . So I went in there to purchase a perfume called AMAZING GRACE . The white lady name VICTORIA , rang me up at the registerer . She said , since You're only buying ONE item unfortunately I don't have a BAG for you . Is that okay with you ? The Benefit Brow Bar staff and almost all the girls walking around seem polite and anxious to help. The markdown is on the cashiers. I've been coming here for the last 6 months or so, at least once a month, and regardless of who is at the register, they don't smile, don't acknowledge you, carry on whatever side conversation they were having with or without you standing in front of them, and some clearly care more about their looks and appearance than the customer. Recently, the girl with crazy sharp, long fingernails and tattoos everywhere, long hair, didn't even acknowledge me as I paid. In fact, I thanked her for checking me out as she kept talking to another employee and got no response. Suggest training or older, mature staff.
