I started going here a few years ago because I was looking for someone who specialized in curly cuts. Trae did my hair and taught me how to style and care for my curls. I started seeing Diyolis for creative hair color. She took me from black to blond to red to ginger and all while having my hair soft and growing. I trusted her so much, I took my 12 year old daughter to get her hair dyed for the first time. I love this place and the stylists are great. read more

D'yolis is a partner who genuinely cares about providing you the right service, and not just selling unneeded services or products. Some things I love about the business. 1. They don't try to sell you unneeded services or unneeded products. 2. Very easy to request an appointment online. 3. Coloring requires a free consultation. 4. Prices are on the site. 5. On appointment request, they confirm details before confirming. For example, my last appointment was scheduled for a Saturday and before confirming, they clarified that I didn't need anything more. 6. Though every service appreciates tips, they make it clear that it's up to the client if they want to tip and how much. 7. The punctuality is getting better. read more

Great salon! Has quality stylists and gives that old school vibe of a salon. Would highly recommend going

I discovered this gem of a salon a few months ago after speaking with some friends that share the same independence from the "creamy crack" also known as a chemical relaxer aka being "natural". For starters, my best friend, who shall remain nameless, colors my hair, so I still have a chemical dependency but I tend to try other places that "style natural hair". So I decided to give this lovely salon a try for the in between hair styling. I was super excited to find a former stylist working here who I loved! Silvia was able to style my hair and as usual, she didn't disappoint! In and out in an hour but especially convenient hours! If I make a 5:30 appointment, I'm walking out the door by 6:30-6:45 at the latest! Great style and super quick too. What more could you ask for? Love it!! read more

I will never ever return to this salon. Jolie, Oqueda and the receptionist lied to me repeatedly about what my hair needed and the process needed to do it. When I arrived for each appointment (3 separate appointments), I was told either i couldn't get the style because of the state of my hair or that the style I asked for when making the appointment wasn't possible because the staff didn't have the capacity to do. Since 2012, I've gotten my hair colored by master colorists and never in that entire experience was gaslit like I was by the women in this salon. Because of the ladies mentioned above, I now have ginger hair instead of the blond I requested. I'm out of approx. $1,000 between all the fees and my hair looks a hot mess. I really question this salon's ethics and integrity. After they told me that they would call the police on me for expressing my frustrations I said give me the hair I purchased and I'm out. I'm planning to have them written up at the better business bureau. I'm also reporting them for mistreatment, false advertising and gaslighting. If you want color or extensions save yourself and don't even bother with this salon. My hard earned money has been spent and my time has been a waste. They are unethical liars. read more

We just moved to the area when my daughter asked to cut all her long locks. This being such a huge transformation for my teen, we searched for the perfect place for weeks. Trae Sims at D'Yolis Hair is golden! The entire staff is welcoming and aim to please but Trae executed her every request perfectly. She was very happy which makes mom happy! I went to D'yolis, because they do the devacurl cut. The owner messed my hair up terribly by leaving the color in too long. The deva curl cut that the guy did was ok, but he acted like I was doing him a favor by paying him to do my hair. And when I went to a new stylist she said it looked like he used shears instead of scissors, because my ends were shredded. Also, his assistant wouldn't even say hello yet took "before and after" pics of my hair without my permission. If I ever see my pics online, I will be reporting. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was referred to Silvia and have been going to her for a few months now. My hair was a mess when I started. She set a plan and walked me through her steps to get my hair healthy again. She knows a lot about hair care.. Finding a hairstylist that you trust with your hair is not easy. But I'm so happy to have found her. I'm on a treatment plan now and my hair is looking healthy and shiny. I strongly recommend her. read more

This salon gets a 5 out 5. Diyolis was my stylist. My experience was amazing. We are still dealing with COVID, they were extremely precautions and made sure the salon was very clean and well-sanitized, social distancing was in place and masks were on! My hair was flawless and well done, I got a steam treatment and my hair flat ironed. I highly recommend them and will be returning for additional services. read more

I found a new salon home! Silvia done my hair and I am extremely happy! She's very knowledgeable in what she does. She also provided me with tips for manageable, healthier hair and to have longevity in my hairstyle. The moment I walked in the door it was an experience. The setting is a vibe and just all around comfortable. Book her! You won't be disappointed. At all! read more

Excellent service. Elegant salon. Reasonable pricing with an upscale feel. Orquidea is great.

The young lady was supposed to do my hair didn't no what to do with my hair. Instead of saying that and let someone else do it. She proceed to cut it then said I'm going to let Trae finish because he specializes in the style you want. Why you didn't say that when I came in. I was so disappointed. The young man Trae did the best he could but I was done by then. read more

I visited Dyolis today for a flat iron, curl and trim with Silvia. I already spoke with Jennifer at the front via phone to confirm this in which she stated the overall price would be $35. I confirmed because after visiting for the first time prior, they charged me $90, but last visit included a wash because Silvia stated she needed to blow dry my hair in order for the service to come out right. I thought that was odd bc I already explained I washed/blow dried my hair at home. Today Silvia stated that my hair would need to be blow dried and the cost was $50 for blow dry alone. Then when I finally got in the chair she changed to after running a flat iron through my hair "ok I may can actually straight and style you" I refused and asked for a trim, which she appeared to be just cutting evenly around until I said something. After the trim I get to the front desk where Jennifer said "ok just the trim, $30" I never seen where a trim was $30! I overall think Silvia is friendly, but I don't attend hair shops to be friends. I like results. It's sad that there are hardly any skilled natural hairstylists in the DMV and I have to travel to ATL or Tennessee. Anyway I won't visit Dyolis shop again. read more

Crooked scammers. Worried about making extra money, rather than establishing quality customer service and rapport. Definitely would not recommend to anyone. Tried to report to BBB and they aren't even accredited, of course. Can only support black businesses that want to be supported. read more

As a Midwesterner who takes pride in ensuring I have healthy and stylish hair, I have finally found a salon like I had back home. This salon is awesome. My interaction has mainly been with Fatima and Dyolis, the owner. Both ladies are all around master stylists that help create the ultimate salon experience. Fatima is excellent, patient and professional. I trust very few people to color and cut my hair. With Fatima I've found everything I need and I just hope I can enjoy this experience a while longer. If you can get in for an appointment, you won't regret it. read more

The atmosphere is always clean and nice; very inviting environment. Jolie is very knowledgeable in hair care. I'm sure the entire staff is knowledgeable but I've only had interactions with Jolie and Ashley, and they shared so much with me when it comes to taking care of my hair. I've seen major improvements in my hair in 10 months and I know my hair could be totally transformed if I came more regularly. They do more than style here, they care for your hair! read more

Thought I found a hair salon with great stylists and professional staff but little by little being shown the opposite...On my first visit, I was able to get an appointment with no problem. I had about a 20 minute wait before being seen by the stylist. Rachel provided a consultation, she appeared very knowledgeable and did an outstanding job on treating and coloring my hair. I received lots of compliments on the color and style. On my second visit, I was able to get a last minute appointment on the same day. Service was okay, felt like the stylist didn't care for a last minute appointment being added to her day. At this salon, when trying to make appointments, if no one answers the business phone, you can send a text for an appointment. This last time I tried to make an appointment via text...I was met with slow responses to my questions or no response at all, which doesn't make sense when the staff or whomever just replied to the text less than a minute ago. I understand a salon can get busy, but not that busy to be unresponsive; whomever it was replying to the text and then not to respond at all is unprofessional, rude, and no way to conduct business. read more

This salon is everything!!! I have been seeing Silvia Barbarena for about 9 years and my hair has never been better. She is all about healthy hair and always suggests the best services and products. My hair is natural and I love the versatility of wearing it straight or in a twist out or Afro puffs. Silvia is a master at cutting and my highlights are phenomenal. Silvia has appointments as early as 4am which means I can get my hair done early and still get my kids off to school and head to work. I followed Silvia from her previous salon to D'Yolis and I am impressed with this salon. The staff is friendly and professional and the new location (same office Park as before, now is Suite 107) is nothing short of fabulous! Everything is brand new, state of the art, and impeccably clean. I'm so happy to becoming to this salon and continue to be happy with Silvia as my stylist. read more

Nice people and pretty place but salon is overpriced. $175 for protein treatment/trim/less than 10 flat twists plus the stylist I went to was overbooked. My appt was at 2:00 and I didn't leave the salon until almost 6:30. read more

Great services from Mattea for my chemical free and naturally curly hair. The hydrating steamer is a must add on item. My hair loves the hydrating cleansers and conditioners. I bit of sticker shock when it was time to check out but let's face it: you get what you pay for!!! An appointment at this salon will not disappoint. My hair color was rich and vibrant without any bleeding on my clothes or skin. A definite treat and/or bi-monthly visits for maintenance, trim, deep conditioning and color service. The owner is hands on and seems to take a real interest in ensuring that both her stylists and clients are happy. I can't talk about this amazing salon without speaking about hair stylist, Silvia B. She is absolutely phenomenal and really takes an active and genuine interest in not only your hair, but also the health of your hair. I have learned so much from her and it's only my second time seeing her. I love that Silvia asks you what you want for your hair because it shows that she cares about making you beyond content. Fanny & Yolis did a phenomenal Job on my hair. I had a really bad experience at a precious salon where, My hair was overly processed really bad condition. I came to D'Yolis hair salon to a consolation we're we discussed about what was fitting to me and what was convenient for my hair and how to get it to a Healthy state. Now 3 weeks later my hair is softer healthier mind you my hair was colored a month ago a lady over proceeded my hair at a different salon. Yoli & Fanny managed to save my really long hair treat it and color it like I wanted it even better because their plan was phenomenal. I felt very obligated to use head and shoulders because any shampoo I usually gives me dandruff I have super thick hair and very oily scalp. So they advised me to stop using it because it was drying my hair really bad too. So i bought the shampoo and conditioner for my hair and 3 weeks later no dandruff no itchiness. I was given and assigned a certain hair shampoo for my texture hair . I was so amazed on their level of professionalism because they did what they said they would do and the products of WELLA & SEBASTIAN ARE AMAZING !!! I'm so in LOVE!! Buying the products slowly . Your hair is an investment & is worth the price. I love this hair salon & every single stylist there is super professional and friendly. I feel so sexy and beautiful confident because of my hair. 10000%%%% recommend this salon & their products !!! read more

I made an appointment for my 15 year old daughter with stylist Rachel. She was getting a wash, blow dry and flat iron. Rachel tried to up sell me from the start. She was talking like those sales people that come to your house selling windows. Telling me my daughter needs half her hair cut off and how some conditioner can help with her ends. Rachel spoke really fast like con artist too. Her recommendations were an extra $70! I told her no thanks and to stick with what we initially came for. Rachel then said after she blow dries my daughter's hair, she will speak to me more. She didn't get it. Rachel then calls me back and tells me my daughter needs a cut and again I told her no. She gave me a blank stare then turned her head to continue doing my daughter's hair probably because she knew she couldn't con me into spending more money. After the appointment, my daughter told me Rachel asked her why I didn't want to get her recommended services. My daughter told her because we didn't come here for that. I didn't like Rachel's attitude either. I was already paying $75 bucks for a wash, blow dry and flat iron. Going to the salon is supposed to be relaxing not irritating. I will never return. read more
