How can you not love Ulta? They really have everything a girl needs to be her fabulous best. Most brands seemed fully stocked on this trip, except NYX...but NYX is always scarce at various stores. Funny, I didn't realize Ulta sold Clinique until I started working for the beauty brand. I found myself jealous that Ulta sells a cute trial-sized 3 step kit I've never seen anywhere, let alone my store. This store was packed on a Wednesday afternoon. When we arrived at the store, nobody was around to help us like they usually are. All the associates were gathered in the back being loud and to be honest, annoying. We were not acknowledged for a good 30 min. I am patient, but I was disgusted at the lack of customer service. For this reason, I give 1 star. On the other hand, Veronica was AMAZING! We are from out of town, and my mom has never been to Ulta before. (Crazy. I know) Her first impression (stated above) was so horrible she was put in an ill mood and wanted to leave. Then we found Veronica. She was so personable and genuine! She worked with my mom to find the perfect shade and right makeup for her skin. She helped my mom, sister, and myself with everything. She was so patient, and seemed to enjoy our company as much as we enjoyed hers. By the end of the night my mom was in the best mood, and Veronica is to thank for that. She is the epitome of outstanding customer service. I truly wish the best for her and whatever comes her way. She deserves it. read more

Ulta is my go to store for beauty products! I love the fact that Ulta carries high end and drug store products. There are also plenty of skin care options, as well as hair and bath products! That is - if they aren't out of stock of everything. This particular location seems to run low on items a lot. I'm assuming it mainly has to do with location. Nonetheless, the staff are pretty nice here, not the most helpful, though. read more

Ulta has everything you need as far as the beauty world is concerned. Makeup, skin, hair products, feet products, bath products, everything...I can't leave without purchasing something, but it's a great place to walk around. This store has always been my favorite location in the Jackson Metro, due to the cleanliness of the store and friendliness of the staff. They're helpful, but not overbearing. They have a wide arrangement of brands, from high end to drugstore and the prices are comparable to buying directly from the brand's site. They recently started carrying Morphe, which is a huge deal! It's hard not to drain my bank account every time I walk in! read more

This is a good spot if you're looking for good quality products. Very wide arrangement. The only hang up are the prices. I find myself being able to shop other places like TJ Maxx, Ross, etc. for the same products at a lower cost. It might mean I have to search a little bit harder but I don't mind that. But if you know what you want or you don't mind spending a little more for cleaner aisles, plenty of product and someone on hand to help you then this is a great place for you. Excellent location. I've been to this store countless times and have always had a great experience. The staff is very cheerful as well. Immediately you know they are all Mississippi locals working behind the counter and on the floor. They truly know their makeup and beauty suggestions are always on point. Most recently, I was in a hurry last week and needed to change my nail polish. The clerk was quick to point out the best item with a very decent price. They saw I was in a hurry and the customer in front of me urged me to go first. They were so polite I often forget how far Southern hospitality extends, that is until you're that person who's running late for an event. I met Austin today and had the best experience having my brows mapped, tinted and waxed. He was very friendly and honestly when I got done I wanted to ask why didn't this hurt like previous times I had this done at other salons. He took his time and was meticulous. Came in tonight for a haircut for my son. He had a migraine, but we didn't want to miss appointment. There were multiple loud alarms going off constantly. When I inquired why no one was even attempting to amend the situation, I was told, "Management is aware; they've been going off all day." I suggested they call management again, as at least six different alarms were continually alarming, including the door alarm. They said, "Management doesn't care." the store as a whole is great . great customer service, nice faces and pretty makeup, the salon is not where it's at . i went in for a simple hair touch up . i set up an appointment with Austin a few hours before i went in . at the time my hair was blonde with the roots grown out a little and that's the first thing austin pointed out . he nagged me about how little time it would take to put a brown gloss on to dye it brown and how bad my roots looked . he made me feel so awful about my small brown roots that i decided to let him put a brown gloss on it to go back to brown . i asked for the ends of my hair to be trimmed and evened out, and to take as little length off as possible, because it was short enough as it was, to add some layering, and some long side bangs to frame my face better . after he started the cutting process i noticed his style to be a little odd but i went with it . he said he'd been doing hair 8 years so i trusted the process considering he probably knew more than me right ? finally he blew dried my hair and did a blowout and it looked great . until i got into my car and started to feel through my hair . it felt uneven in a lot of places and over all just not right so i decided to go home and straighten it to see the actual results of my new cut and color . first off, he cut off almost an inch off my ends even tho i asked for as little length to be taken off as possible, he made a choppy short "layer" on the bottom of my hair, i don't even know what he did to the front ends, messed up the side bangs it looks like he just chopped random stuff with his scissors . the fact he knew what it looked like before he dried it and just left it like that is absolutely repulsive and he shouldn't be given a job where people trust him like that . it was so awful no style made it look good, and my hair is naturally curly so that says a lot . needless to say, i had to spend more money just to get it fixed . on top of everything, my hair may fade and turn green because he slapped a brown gloss right over my blonde !! there's a process you have to go through to go from blonde to brown so now i might have green hair as well . which is great . just great . if you are thinking of going to ulta to get your hair done, save yourself the money and go elsewhere . if nothing else DONT GET AUSTIN . HE WILL MESS UP YOUR ENTIRE HEAD ITS NOT WORTH IT read more

My daughter was in this store one evening a few days ago. She was followed areound the store by FIVE employees. When she noticed her following she attempted to leave the store when one of the ladies yelled for someone to call the police. Accusing her of stealing merchandise and my daughter proving she had not stolen anything, she proceeded on to her vehicle to leave. All FIVE of the employees surrounded my daughters car and would not allow her to leave. My daughter was terrified. It was not until my husband called the store manager and the FPD was contacted that she was finally allowed to leave. As a former long standing customer of this store I am appalled at their behavior and that store management as well as corporate would allow something like this to happen. NO ONE should ever be subject to this level of harassment. I have withheld names from this review because I truly hope these women are ashamed of themselves and learn how to treat anyone and everyone with the respect that they are entitled to and deserve. read more

i've been waiting for over an hour for someone to wax my eyebrows. not only that, before i even had the attention of the salon workers (who had seen me standing at the counter), i was already waiting. the girl who finally said she would do them (it does not appear busy in the store), said she would be with me after the hair appointment she was working on at the moment, 3 people who seem like walk-in's have been in and out and no attention had been paid to me. if i ever get my eyebrows done i will complete this review and hopefully they do a good job at what they're supposed to. read more

I have been to this location very frequently since it opened. I've always encountered great customer service and helpful staff. They always have a wonderful selection to choose from and are quick to answer questions about products. Today, I had a very different experience. I went to this location with two of my foundations looking to find a different product similar to my color. I was greeted by an employee and informed her that I was looking for a new foundation. She offered to color match my skin with products, which I had no objection to. I simply told her that most products tend to oxidize on my skin and that I brought my current products for reference because I'm usually unhappy with colors following a skin match because of oxidation. She informed me rather abrasively that she had 16 years of experience and that she could match my skin but not the product in the bottles. I told her that that I just wanted to browse some products and read ingredients before I tried any. She again told me that my bottles could not be matched perfectly - which I'm already aware of. She walked away and seemed offended that I even brought my current products. I was not acknowledge by staff again on the prestige cosmetics side of the store. I ended up leaving to go to Sephora where I had a much more positive experience. I'm still giving this store a 3 because this is the only negative experience I've ever had. However, I will not purchase prestige brands from this location again. read more
