Funny, I didn't realize Ulta sold Clinique until I started working for the beauty brand. The cashier handed me the Ulta bag I returned to her with my receipt saying they would NOT do a return or exchange. These employees violated Ulta's corporate return policy and customer privacy policy. I will be seeking further assistance with this issue.

I really hate that there isn't a stand alone MAC Store in the Jackson area, and I'm pretty sure there isn't even one located in the entire state of Mississippi. The primary reason I prefer the stores is because I have the eyeshadow palate and at the MAC stores, you can purchase the individual magnetic eyeshadows that pop into the palate. At these stand alone counters, you cannot purchase these. You can only purchase the shades in the little compact cases they come in. Oh well, it is what it is. At least the people of Mississippi can still order the individual magnetic eyeshadows online. Unfortunately, they can see and try the colour before they make the purchase. Anyway.... having said all that, I do frequent this MAC counter often when I'm in MS because both of my daughters really love MAC as well. I like to browse with them and pick them up some items from time to time. And yes, I even pick items up for me from time to time. In case you don't know this, their pencil eyeliner is awesome and goes on like butter. Wonderful stuff! Why the 2 stars? The customer service. I have yet to meet one person who works at this MAC counter who actually seems like they enjoy their job. They always seem to manage to make me feel like they are doing me a favour by assisting me. They also love to stand around and chit-chat with one another rather than pay attention to the customers. It's positively nerve-wracking! There is another MAC counter inside Belk at Northpark Mall in Ridgeland. But I usually don't feel like driving from Flowood to Ridgeland, so I just deal with the poor customer service here. I highly recommend MAC products, but makes sure to bring your patience when dealing with the employees here.

LOL My daughters love this store, so I come here often with them. When I'm with them, I'm usually here for quite a while because they want to look at every single item in the store. It's amazing how girls in their 20s can still beg mommie to buy them things just like they did when they were 5 years old. =) Other than nail polish, I haven't purchased anything for myself from here because I use Chanel, MAC, and Benefit. They do have Benefit products here, but I only use their powder and concealer and I purchase those items from my girl in Jacksonville, FL. If you've never tried Benefit powder and concealer, I very, very highly recommend it. I prefer it over Chanel (and that's saying something)! I have made some really good purchases for my daughters here and they still (just like when they were 5) are all giddy and excited when mommie buys them things! The smiles on their faces are enough to make me happy! =)

Now, I will admit that my review is a tad limited since I only frequent the downstairs (?) non-surgical part of the clinic but if you are a purveyor of facial services, you need to check out Faces! I'm a huge fan of dermaplane--you can see results immediately as it removes hair and dead skin from the face. I've had this service done at a few places in the Jackson area and can confidently say that Faces, specifically Ms. Marilyn, provides you with the most thorough treatment. She is so unbelievably thorough! She is the only person who has changed the dermaplane blade 2-3 times during my session--I'm Indian, I have a lot of hair, and so, it's expected that the blade would need to be changed and she is the ONLY PERSON in the Jackson area who delivers such extensive and precise service. Oh, and the price is so reasonable for the attention you receive. My sister sees Leta for hydrofacials. I opted for the hydrofacial once and felt that my skin was immediately hydrated and she helped my breakouts calm down. She is just as thorough and dedicated to making your skin glow as Ms. Marilyn! With all the contouring, bronzing, eyebrow filling that's trending, you definitely need to check these ladies out to make sure your 'canvas' of a face is well prepped!

(I showed them my phone call log and the text sent to me from the spa side to make a reservation. Though I was told they share the same phone numbers.) Even typing this complicates me further. The entire transaction before and after the treatment was so appalling. And the way they treated me.
