While I was in town visiting my newborn grandson for 8 days, I had my hair done here by Jordan. My hair is very long, straight, and all one length, so I just had her trim the dead ends off for me. I had a good bit of silver in my hair, so she dyed my hair back it's natural medium brown colour and then did full highlights. When she finished, my hair looked amazing! It's now been almost two months and my hair still looks amazing. I've been getting so many compliments on my hair. Even our wonderful Mr. Yelp (Adam) here in Jacksonville noticed and complimented me on it... two thumbs up for Mr. Yelp! :D I was there for about two hours and was treated with true southern hospitality by everyone in the salon. Since I was there for so long, I asked if they had heard of Yelp and were aware of the one and only review and the fact it was a one star. They said they did know of Yelp and had read the one star review. The girl working beside Jordan said it had been written about her (I can't recall her name to save my life). But I did watch her cut the hair of three different men while I was there and she did a great job. I would send my husband to her with no hesitation. However, it was Jordan who also cut my husbands hair and it looked great when she finished. Since I was there for 8 days, I did go back two other times to just have my hair washed and conditioned. It was the girl who had the bad review written about her who washed my hair both times. I think maybe her name is Holly? Anyway, even though it was just a wash and condition, she went above and beyond and really gave me a nice scalp massage. She talked to me throughout and she is just a real sweetheart. I also met the manager and she is really sweet too. I highly recommend this Supercuts! read more

Oftentimes one walks into a chain salon and gets subpar service to the point you might want to ask where and if the stylist has a valid cosmetology license, or if they enjoy what they do. That is definitely not the case at this Super Cuts. I walked in asking for a radical change in hair styles. Jason, the next available stylist, took the time to properly consult with me. He looked at my pictures, checked the suitability of my hair for the cut, told me his plan and then asked a couple more times if I was sure this was what I wanted. He was very thorough, and when he was finished I had one of the best haircuts I've had in years. Better than Cuts I've had in hair salons that cost three times what I paid. Jacob did my hair. After years of bad haircuts from professionals who charge way to much more bey, I finally found someone who knows what he's doing. Absolutely horrible!!!! Do Not go here if you are a man wanting a nice cut. They have no clue how to use clippers or what the numbers on the guards mean. The stylist was even asked if the guard was the right one and she said yes, then once she buzzed the middle we k we something was wrong and all she can say is "oops". What can you do at that point? Gotta make the rest of it the same length. If you don't know what your doing or you just got out of school maybe someone should be watching what your doing. I highly recommend Jacob. Popped in for a trim because I refuse to pay $40+ at the upscale salons for a 10 minute appointment, and he did a wonderful job. It was a good as, if not better than most of the cuts I've gotten at several other local trendy salons. The wait time was minimal, and he took his time with the cut. I woke up on Saturday morning and just could not take my thick, long hair in this Mississippi humidity any longer! It was time for a cut and I was not waiting a month or longer to get in to see my usual stylist at another salon. I decided on a whim and by my neighbor's recommendation to go see Jacob at Supercuts in Flowood and I am so GLAD I DID! Jacob is wonderful! I went in and told him I wanted length and weight taken off of my hair and he did exactly that. I didn't have to show him a picture, He did exactly as I told him and I got a super cute cut!~ He definately knows his stuff! I needed a haircut very bad. I looked online to see what time they closed and it said 5:00. I thought good, I have plenty of time to get there and get it cut. I arrived at 4:25 and was told they were closed. I said well it says y'all close at 5:00 online. She said well we stop taking people at 4:00. Grant it there was no one waiting and one person in the middle of a haircut. I figured surely one of the other barbers that was not doing anything would have plenty of time to cut my hair but nope. All in all this isn't a bad Supercuts bc I've been here before. The one guy has cut my hair bf and did a good job and is very nice. All I am trying to say is get there before 4 and not 5. They should state they are open until 5:00 but stop taking people at 4:00 so people like me don't haul ass up there for no damn reason at all. Very frustrating! Oh I am also now waiting for a haircut at sports clips right down the road. They were happy to take me walking in at 4:40. read more

I usually cut my own hair with clippers ... and made a terrible mistake one day that left me with bald spots. Was kinda worried about how I could show up at work without looking off of my rocker, and there didn't seem to be a way to salvage things without just going totally bald. Came to this Supercuts location, where they saved the day - came out with a nice cut that didn't end up looking too much different than what I was going for in the first place. A+ read more

I needed a VERY last-minute trim and style before attending a wedding this past Saturday; I'm not great at styling my own hair and I knew it needed a trim. I also have naturally curly hair, so it's hard to trust a new person with cutting it (I had a hairdresser where I previously lived, but recently moved to the Flowood area). I called a few hours ahead even though they take walk-ins because I had some questions about when I should come that afternoon. I'm not sure who I spoke with on the phone (Holly, maybe?), but she was extremely sweet and helpful. The wedding was at 6pm, so she suggested I come in around 3pm. I arrived and had to wait for just a bit while Candice finished cutting a man's hair. That wasn't a problem at all. To the point, Candice was wonderful! She listened to my descriptions of what I wanted and gave it to me exactly! I felt beautiful and it still looks great the next day! I'll definitely be going back to her! :) read more

I believe this store is brand new as there was still some work being done. I travel a lot and stopped here on a Friday afternoon. I was greeted and was asked to sign up on a computer and was told it would be just a few minutes. A young lady in the first chair by the desk cut my hair. She did a great job and I was finished in twenty minutes. Glad there is a place like this in Flowood. I will definitely come back here to get a hair cut. read more
